Wow, you are hilarious. 😂 One of the best product reviews I’ve seen, especially the part where you are laughing while watching that awesome video on your cot. Love it! 🤣
I have 2 and I love them. I use them in the van and also when we have company and not enough beds. Pro tip: Get some memory foam cut to fit for additional comfort.
For $40, I bought a military cot with criss-cross legs. It is the widest, tallest and longest found online. I placed it in a sunny window. I sun bathe throughout the winter to prevent depression.
Great video....I was looking for Ideas for a non permanent campervan conversion for my 2012 grand caravan...This is definitely an option...Still room underneath for storage...Thank You..
Yep, got mine at Wallyworld too and love it for car camping. Did a shot every time you said comfortable, now I'm blind...thanks for that. At least you saw fit to NOT include me in the shout-outs this time...really, thanks for that!
Thanks for the review! Helped me decide to head over to Walmart. Except now it's not $48. It's $74. And I'm still having trouble deciding between this and the Coleman Comfort Deluxe. Question: How would it be perfect for backpacking? I'm not sure I'd like to drag a whole cot up a mountain.
Jens Williamson, III (Deaf) Oh yes! I have one with me and then I love it. No questions asked! 👍 It is worth it. You are smiling with no yellow teeth all day like that. Lol 😂 You will know now. Thanks for your time. Have a good year in 2021! 💪 Mr. Jens Williamson, III The camping expert! ⛺ You will love it if you just put your old rug in your tent. 👌 I did it many times. Oh I love it!! 👍👍👍👍👍 Like 5 🌟 You will dance wild in the world. Lol 😂
What do you think of the center bar movement? I just picked one up after seeing your review. My air mattress deflated... The cot was $74 at Walmart here in FL. I just laid down to test it out and I can say I prefer a cot especially with this little foam than an air mattress. The springs on the side are what sold me because they're similar to a trampoline in the give that it allows.
Yes sir. I own 2 of them actually and they have been great. If you really want luxury in a tent, get a full size memory foam and cut it in half. One for each cot. Or 2 twin memory foam. 5 star hotel in a tent. However, the foam pad that comes with it is sufficient and will deliver a good nights sleep. You can also fold up the memory foam in the cot which makes it easy to transport. You can't go wrong with these cots.
The adventure van is becoming very comfy. Like the back packing idea......but sharing sleep time with Thomas might be a deal breaker for me. We all know how he likes to spoon......lol. great idea as always
Can the bolts holding the middle leg to the frame be removed? I'd like to use it in a Toyota Tundra over the wheel well with the tailgate closed, but I'm guessing that middle leg would get in the way?
Excellent review! I have been looking for something portable and comfortable for my mini van that won't take up all tge room that's needed for transporting gear. I'm buying one this coming summer, but damn! The price doubled in the past few years!!!
You should have bought at the time of this review. You should know that when I endorse a product, the prices are going up due to shortages. Too many people going camping. I bought 2 and they are really great cots Larry. I put a layer of foam and they are super comfy.
@@myadventureoutdoors I probably would have but I somehow missed the review. Sometimes things get by me. I don't know if it's RU-vid or me but it does happen.
I would recommend this cot along with a 3" memory foam pad (around $50 on Amazon). At that point, I'd say you are good to go for the month. Extremely comfortable.
Yeah just checked these things are like 120 bucks now, you got a really good deal at 45 bucks. Loved the video, a lot of really good humor on the serious matter of camping cot research. LOL.
Sounds like those Walmart people had you pegged right! Lol....wonder if I could get that under my tonneau cover?....little mosquito net? Might be on to something...but seriously I expect to see you on a people of wal mart episode
Lol, dude you are hilarious! Don't know if this will fit my Sienna minivan with no seats, but here are his quoted measurements 74" lengthwise, 26" width wide beginning at 3:08. Thnx for a fun and useful post!
@@myadventureoutdoors Anyone can put up a video but humor doesn't always come with the package. I just measured my van and it could work, plus this model has the springs, which as you explained, provides an excellent means of comfort out the gate! #GetJiggyWithIt LOL
@@johnanddiann100 Thanks. I bought this cot a few weeks ago, as it was the only one which I could modify (cut & re-weld) one of the end legs to clear my particular van's wheel-well, which worked out great. It's ok, but I have two complaints about it: 1) I find it to be too firm. I weigh 155 lbs, so maybe it would be more plush for a heavier person, but I'm feeling like I'm going to need to buy an additional ~3" piece of foam. 2) The liner on the supplied mattress is so unbelievably slippery, that during the night, I constantly feel like I'm "sliding" around; it's a strange sensation, and I may try using a duvet of some sort instead of a sleeping bag.
@@myadventureoutdoors honest reviews can impact the supply and demand . Anyway, keep it up . Just subscribed to get notification before prices go up lol
At 41 secs... a leaf just hit you on the back. You got work on your ninja skills. Lol. Omg... I gotta lose some weight before I can lay in that. Looks great though. It spreads nicely. (That's what he said). Wait. That's a Chris liner. Ooowwww. Lol Watching adventure outdoors.... that's what I'm talking about. Lol. I'm going to do a wwwwooooo on my next vid. Hope I don't butcher it. It should be pretty good. I haven't seen that hiking guy ever do it. Lol
To be very honest it’s a low quality product I’ve had 2 of these over a period of 6 years …..some of the the springs holes break after not that long into owning it. also doesn’t stay stable and will move around … very uncomfortable unless your a small person or child and needs more cushioning added.
Sorry you have not had good luck with yours. I've used both of mine very hard and they have been outstanding for me. For adults, I do add a 3" memory foam.
It's those large hairy feet. Good vid. Cot would probably work well with a Thermarest Camp Rest mattress, too. Setup looks real easy, too. I have an old push together aluminum job that sounds like a hundred tent poles crashing to the ground when you take it apart.
