Camping makes an otter's heart skip a beat! [Otter life Day 523]

It's the morning of the second day of camp at Angel Forest Nasushirakawa.
The otters were full of energy from early in the morning. They were running around the lakeside where the greenery spreads out.
Ui seems to be getting more and more used to playing outside as the camp goes on, and I can see that she's very happy!
Aty seems to be enjoying camping at his own pace as usual.
He seems to recognize Omichan and Lynn-san's tent as his home.

There were tons of facilities where we could stay with our dogs (otters)!
The site where we stayed is a "dog free site" where you can take off the leash and spend time with your dog (otter).

おはようございます Aty　も　UI ちゃまもご満悦の様子ですね両ウソちゃん達を見ていると… 人間の生き方…間違ってるよなぁって思えてくる私です Aty やUi ちゃんたちは自分達のやりたいこと、に集中して楽しんでますものね！本能と言ってしまえばそれまでだけど、人間は本来の本能をも押し殺してて窮屈…だよなぁもっと自然に生きたいよね

I don't care who you are, waking up at 4:30am to exercise and feed your animals makes you a legend in anyone's book. I walked my huskies for 20-30 minutes at 6:30am before work every day and, much as I loved and adored them, those hours were absolutely brutal.

That campsite is really beautiful! I loved watching Aty and Ui hop over those huge rocks in the stream. I'm sure they really enjoyed that morning stroll with all the greenery and fresh air.

Yes! Hopping from one stone to the next made me very happy as a child. Especially when there was a chance involved of ending up soaked, explaining that to mom. ;-) I wonder, if it's not the small things, like feeling the planks under their feet, being surprised by the water temperature, sticking their noses in the greens or feeling the power of lifting pebbles in the stream, that make them grow so profound. They are obviously glad and playful as human children are. So, like children, I'd assume they are getting confident and settled in life by stacking up those wonderful moments of success...

I start my day with these vids, watching them in bed after I've woken up, it makes the transition from sleep to awake a bit easier to tolerate! It seems as if Ui has all of a sudden 'got it '. She's been doing well at home and learning well, but going on the camping trips seems to have helped her take some huge leaps forward. Something about being new places with her family seems to have finally cemented all the learning she's done at home. Otterman is one of the coolest people on this planet right now. The world needs more people like him ❤

So cute the way Aty kept looking at you because he knew you had sea bream. And UI did so good walking! Her progress is clearly showing with sleeping in your lap/arms and attempting the clothes/pouch position. So proud of her!

Taking a good morning walk, having a bath in the water then salmon breakfast. That’s wonderful otters life 💙💙 Ui felt sleepy but couldn’t sleep in the dad’s clothes as yet. She’s a cute baby 💙💙

I'm 67 and I still prefer camping with a tent over "glamping in a cottage". Cottage's win over tents only when dealing with a thunderstorm. I wish Aty could talk so he could tell us which he preferred. I've always wanted to come back as an otter.

Aty is more observant than Ui on his surroundings and has noted the “breakfast” in his hands. Ui basically copies what Aty does when walking outside. That’s a good sign :) By the way, can’t believe that Aty is not even three years old with his calm dispositions and sensible behaviours. He has visited so many places and rivers. What a lucky otter!

I believe Aty is like a genius among otters. So intelligent and inquisitive. Learned to swim well and is now an accomplished swimmer. Ui has her quirks and makes their lives interesting and challenging.
