These Iceland vids are the first YT videos in a long time where I have to put my phone down and stream them to my TV to make sure I get the full experience. Awesome job.
Stunning video!!! I think I said "WOW!!" about twenty times. Congratulations to you on the footage and Aaron on the editing, really amazing beauty, thank you for sharing with us. I hope the trip helped to ease your personal issues.
The shot with the gibbous moon in the background, framed by the smoke, hill line, and lava flow, is absolutely stunning, I am making that my freaking desktop wallpaper.
Wow Dixie, that was amazing to watch, can only imagine how much more mins blowing it was to see it in person. I hope you come to the UK some day and check out one or more of our beautifull trails
Very few people can say: "I visited the newest place on earth." But YOU can! Congratulations. And thank you for being so generous in sharing it with us.
Dixie, your commitment to excellence in videography combined with utter respect for the beauty of nature brings us, once again, award-worthy content. Mad respect and appreciation for you. ❤
I had to rewind the part about your new friend and why the cops showed up to make sure I heard you correctly. Glad everything worked out and everyone is safe. I love all of your videos. But, this one has got to be the most mesmerizing. Very well done. Thank you!
Also I just wanna say that mental hospital doesn’t mean it’s filled with only crazy lunatics, it’s mostly just depressed and anxious people in my experience anyway. The 2 I’ve gone to had multiple units for different types of people. One of the interesting things I observed is how many people like to have a “contest” for lack of better word over who had it worse which I completely understand and some peoples stories were so messed up it’s crazy. A lot of people didn’t share there stories though, I was one of if not the only one openly talking about my stories through life like I’ve always done, I will pretty much share anything I’ve done in life with absolute strangers. Both times I’ve gone to the mental hospital it was an amazing experience, I think the most therapeutic part was interacting with the other patients.
Ooohh Dixie, hearing you and seeing how much you enjoyed it.. that's so emotional and I shared a tear or two to be honest! I am amazed that you are allowed to fly a drone over it? All in all those pics and the video is National Geographic worth of footage.. Oh wow.. well done and thank you for sharing it with us all! 💖
Thank you for shooting and sharing this D - it is awe inspiring indeed and I appreciate the efforts you put into the post process - really adds to the power of the emotional content. Glad you had some good weather - it can be very dank and oppressive at times. (Funny story about your new "friend" - that's hilariously classic) Frábært ævintýri!
Hi Jessie, I thought what you said about getting on with things when you’re down was profound and I agree that in the scheme of things, we’re not here long, so make the most of it. I’m pleased you got to see a live volcano and the experience touched you - it comes across well in the video. What a stunning place Iceland is. And if only we fully appreciated it at all times, what a beautiful planet we get to live on. Spending more time in the outdoors is where I’m headed and my bucket list is swimming with whales - here’s hoping! All best wishes to you.
OMG this is AMAZING footage! Better than any other professional/cable tv, etc. out there. I have watched all of your videos since you started the AT and oh my so much amazing stuff you’ve shot. But wow this is the. shit. You go girl!
Wow, this series got me so emotional. The grandiosity of the landscape is imcomparable to anywhere else in the world. What an amazing adventure you had. Thank you for bringing us with you.
You sure lead an amazing life Young Lady. I am sure that when you crossed that first State line from Ga. to Tenn in 2016 you had no idea just how long the trail would be. Again thank you for taking us all along
You have a talent for making videos. Whether it was staring into a volcano or taking in the awe of some waterfalls, these videos had me mesmerized. The music pairing was phenomenal. Sincerely, nice job.
The shot with the lava and the moon. I gasped! WOW! That is incredible! This trip is not only your best work yet but some of the most beautiful cinematography I have seen this year.
Your two Iceland hiking trail vids are outstanding. Then this, possibly the best imagery I have seen on screen. The music selection is epic too. Thank you!
Man this video was absolutely captivating for me I can only imagine how it was in person thanks for taking us all along with you (amazing just amazing)😎
Well hey now, Dixie! I’ve watched almost all of your videos in the past 3 years or so, and you are one of my favorite hiking/adventuring folks, hands down. Good advice, fabulous scenery, honesty, humor, and a dose of reality in all of them. These 3 Iceland videos are in a whole new league! WOW! 👍🏽👏🏼😁 Thank you for sharing all of it.
Stunning. Awesome. Perfect. We have watched a LOT of your work and without any doubt, these three are the best vids ever. This volcano vid is #1 in a all the vids I have seen. And I mean amongst all youtubers. Music, editing, composition, flow, mood...everything stellar. Thanks so much Dixie!!
THAT WAS REALY AWESOME.......it`s on my bucketlist too......since more then 30years of waiting, I hope I could finally visit it this late fall in October, if it would open again for the Public.....hopefully !
Your video quality has progressed to superb! Boiling your water with the lava spewing in the background had me off balance and staring. Thank you, truly, for sharing your experience. It’s beautiful!
I know this will be totally random but, I just actually visited Amacalola falls state park for the first time. Dixie, you inspired me to do this. I will be 51 next week, didnt think I could even make it up all those stairs to the top. I DID IT! Now I really just want to keep going. That was the best day I have ever had. My husband was right there next to me, I didnt bust my butt either. Let me tell you the trail back down was slick! Hiking the AT is def on my bucket list of things to do now. Thank you Dixie!
I'm surprised how much more meaningful this is to me having seen it through your eyes. I feel way more connected to the event than watching any number of other videos. Thank you for sharing. Great job on filming and editing.
You are very good at this photography thing Dixie! I was thinking.. you are a professional photographer with so much awesome footage. Thank you! This was so interesting and exciting to watch. Keep up the awesome work and most of all, stay happy and healthy!❤️❤️
Your videos of Iceland are stunning and I love this one. This Year was my first visit to Iceland and I left the country one day before the eruption. This must be truly a unique experience to witness volcano eruption.
Only Dixie could get such beautiful shots like this!!! God's wonderful majesty!!!! Just imagine when He first formed the world and the whole world looked like this at first!!!
So a long time ago my 17 year old giril who is now 20 turned me on to you sow we both binged watched together throughout your through hikes then you brought mom now this WTF I called my girl at WAREN Wilson today and told her group or friends need to go to ICELAND FUNNY HOW THE NAMES GOT REVERSED HOW FAR DO YOU LIVE FRON WARREN WILSON COLLEGE ❣️you Michael
You are damn lucky, what are you saying. Police rescue. Did you take an app to align the Sunrise with the mouth of the pour spot of the volcano pot, or was that Lucky. You got to fly your drone over the volcano (that must have tickled your solar plexus some) but it was not illegal. That would never happen in US. You took your camp gear with you up there, that might be lucky. Funny stove shot. You should probably research Earthquake activity and volcano 🌋 type before camping out near one without quick access to a fast exit. Beautifully shot and and stick to it’ness focus of shooting lots of coverage, you did good. Be safe, lovely country. I would give more thumbs 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 if I could for this one.
WOW! TOO MANY PEOPLE! I travelled to Iceland at the beginning of January and it was magical, so beautiful and wild! Few tourists to spoil the experience as well.
I once climbed the Stromboli and watched its regular eruption. Absolutely impressive, but what you showed us here is way way better. Thx a lot. You must feel blessed! I felt that way when I stood on top of Mt Teide at 3718m a few years ago on Teneriffa for sunrise. I was just speechless to exerience such a beauty, even at -20° C And thanks to the sun that she just appeared behind that mountain for sunrise. Best place for the sunrise. Your Iceland vids are amazing. I never really considered going to Iceland even I'm a very big fan of the North and have been several times to Canada, Norway, Northern Cape, Lofoten, Scotland, Ireland... But now Iceland is definitely part of my bucket list. Best regards, Reiner
