I ate some Coconut Crab while stationed on Guam at a Guamanian friends house in the jungle. He boiled it a very long time and used a hammer and vise to crack the shell. The crab meat was totally purple in color. They had a tiny Zoo on Guam that claimed to have a 40 pounder! I never saw it though. I can understand why they are protected because that is the best tasting crab on Earth! They would all be gone huh?

You just gotta love the Ayuyu (Coconut Crab) because they are harder to find in the Northern Marianas but you just found a whole island of them, wish I was there to experience the The Wild.
What’s amazing about this is YBS did it with a team of 4, and this is so much more interesting than probably a Nat Geo show on a multimillion dollar budget.
I've watched a ton of survival videos. These guys must be super human. They have used immense energy with no food and nothing but water here and there. It's still beautiful and entertaining
