I have been watching your videos for probably five and a half months now and you have totally brought me away from video games and into nature. I used to game all night and then wake up, go to school, and when i came home game some more. Now from watching your videos and meeting new friends with the same interests i have COMPLETELY stopped playing video games and have transformed into an outdoorsman. I love to go out, build shelters out of dead-fall and be one with nature. Live off the land. I just ordered a few things off of amazon that should allow me to bushcraft with ease and i'm so exited to go out and do what you do best. I live in Ontario as well so i don't have much time until 4 feet of snow gets dropped on my town but even in snow, i'm going to be outside. Thank you so much for Joe, for inspiring me to stop levelling up in video games, but in real life. I know that going out solo and surviving is one of the greatest feelings out there, but i hope that one day we can meet and do a trip together. Stay safe, and have a good one. -Lucius

I haven't watched your videos in a long time Joe. The last ones were where you taught Tripper to not be afraid of the boat and then went onto a little boat trip with him. Seeing you and Tripper on this trip, fooling around and chilling in the tent is probably equally as heartwarming as it was heartbraking to see your announcement that Scout had left us. I'm glad that you're still out there, enjoyed the video a lot, and will check back in more often again. Also, you've got two adorable girls there!

Lost my 4 year old lab same time as Scout. I was so envious when you got your pup! well i finally got mine a rescue from down south a catahoula mix such a smart pup! I named him Scout as a tribute to that beautiful being:)
Tripper's a cool, sweet dog but man I sure do miss watching old Scout. Maybe you could do a compilation video full of just moments of both of the dogs and their antics! That would be so cool...
I've been viewing videos about hiking for well over a year and this is the first one that anyone actually showed the trail markers so we'd understand what really happens out there. Thanks. Ole Tripper was exhausted. I bet Ole Joe was too. Thanks for the trip. Blessings. p.s. Doggo was excellent.
My baby girl is a 80lb 5year old German Doberman she's certified as my PTSD service Dog and Loves WEARING her harness and carrying her own gear. Shes happiest when she's working and running free!
that's not a given , Humans were endurance hunters (or Persistence hunters)... I mean, not these days when most humans couldn't walk to the local shops, but... historically humans had far more endurance than pretty much any other creature on earth, we couldn't outpace them but we could just keep going and going until the prey just gave up running. You could see it in this video, everytime they stopped tripper wanted to sleep but Joe was still going and active. For most modern day humans then, yes, Trippers puppy energy will do us in... But biologically, we're capable of running a canine into the ground.
@@ChuckFickens1972 exactly. Which is why is humans are the super race of the world. Pretty insane actually. Also insane how EASY everything had become. So cool to think about go be honest.
@@saucepan3007 Yep take a mathon, even now there are 10'0s of thousands of humans that can "run" a marathon... Not a lot of other animals that can do that.
Another awesome vid! Love seeing Tripper grow up =) also really like how you showed your progress down the trail with the map, and were able to point out where the lookout was and where you were vs where you are now... it’s just another element that your vids already do so well at, in capturing the moments and really letting the viewer feel as tho they were there with you. Really good
😮 what a hike! The scary parts were when the trail was on the very edge😮 and when the trail was obscure. You have guys man. The dog was a true trooper. Tripper trooper.
Very satisfying shakedown with Tripper; he cracked me up with the NO steak tartar reaction. Ontario is gorgeous and reminds me of my little neck of the woods here on the other side of the Lake. I still feel like a new follower even though at this point I’ve been watching all your videos for years - that said this may be my favorite. Awesome to watch how you’ve progressed and more recently how your relationship with Tripper has evolved (as well as how he’s matured - personally I got my new German Shepard/Border Collie pup around the same time you got Tripper and had a somewhat similar progression). Keep doing what you’re doing, there are a lot of people that appreciate it and are rooting for you.

It's hard to find the trail with all the fall leaves on the ground. You got firewood, a lake for water and lots of trees to hang your tarp. Tripper is a pretty dog. I watched part one where you came upon all that water. I think that is the one.water,water everywhere. Good luck on the spot you pick. Good luck on hiking . Stay safe. God Bless.
@@taradenise77 I am afraid of heights, so seeing him at the edge looking down freaked me right out. Plus you hear of people falling off those type of rocks. It just freaked me right out. Lol. And then add wind to it. Haha. Never could i do that.
@@lifechanges557 hes a goofball I'm the same w the heights hate them.ive missed out on alot of things because of heights .never got to go see the ocean which was my dream an now I'm 43 got sick at 37 I'm on oxygen 24/7 sadly waiting to die. Thanks to covid we cant even drive there cuz my husband's hours got cut..owell guess it waant meant to b lol
