About Sierra and Stephen IRL
Hey friends! I’m Sierra Schultzzie and this is my vlog channel with my husband, Stephen. We started vlogging 5 years ago to document planning our wedding and growing together as a young married couple, and the channel has now really become our passion project. We love creating travel vlogs, disneyland vlogs, showing behind the scenes of creating my fashion and lifestyle videos, and all the little ups and downs of our unfiltered, real life. So appreciating the dental content. As someone who equally hates the dentist, it's oddly satisfying to hear someone else feel the same. I always feel guilty about dental issues for some reason so this is a good reminder that everyone has tooth issues at no fault of their own. I also totally hate having my day's schedule changed last minute. I would have reacted the same way you did. (That's a lie, I would have been 1000x worse 😂) Thanks for sharing all the real stuff!

some help from a fellow friend who hates the dentist: the extra $25 or whatever for laughing gas during cleanings is SO worth it also: i know it’s not the same anywhere, but if you need dental work done, see if your dentist will do general anesthesia or twilight anesthesia (you’re awake the whole time but don’t remember). i had to search to find a dentist that would do it and i have to pay out of pocket for the anesthesia but it’s so worth it.

My boyfriend is a super nervous dental patient as well unfortunately I’m the exact opposite (lol I love the dentist) but your hair is ON POINT today. I could tell it was gonna be good even when your hair was wet Also edit addition: GRACE missing Target actually was so cute! The obsession starts young 😂

Hey Sierra, next time you go up to Mount Whitney, you should make a stop to Manzanar! It’s the national Historic site for the camp where Japanese Americans were incarcerated during WWII. It’s such an important part of history and definitely worth a visit, especially since it’s right near there!

I too had issues with a crown (2, actually) and the pain is no joke. I’m so glad you bravely went through with the short notice dental appointment and that it gives you lasting relief!

I had to chuckle at the whole situation where Grace said she wanted to go back to Target because she missed it. I had offhandedly mentioned that I needed to go to J.C.Penney to my husband, in front of my kids, and then they started talking about it like it was a religious experience. Something they deeply needed to do, despite the fact that they had never been there before!! 🤣😂

Had a wisdom tooth pulled and got dry socket! I went to the oral surgeon from Feb. 17 until the end of May EVERY WEEK day.

@@evercuriousmichelle I missed about 3 days when the dentist was out of town. The first dentist broke the tooth and left one of the roots so it wouldn’t heal. The dentist that pulled it told me he would pay the first visit and the rest was on me! The dental surgeon never charged me at all so I don’t know if he charged the other dentist.

Also the dentist sucks. I mean they’re super important but I hate the whole experience. Last time I went it was my first time being brave and going alone, it was supposed to be a simple 45 minute filling and I ended up being there for 3 hours completely re-traumatized because they couldn’t get my mouth to freeze 😭

I had some dental work done and it ended up causing me to loose one of my teeth because of the dentist’s error. It seems so silly to be an adult who’s afraid of the dentist but I know it’s a valid fear and thank you for normalizing this

Moms are amazing 😂 A lot of the vloggers I follow have toddlers (lots of pandemic babies) and I can’t understand a word the adorable little humans are saying (not a one, no matter what country/ accent). So when I watch the conversations between mother and child, and they easily know exactly what their kid says and means, I’m just SO impressed 😂😂😂❤️

The current law where we live is rear facing until 2. She is over 2, but we will keep her rear facing as long as we can since it's safest.

I have many thoughts and dreams about losing teeth, you're definitely not the only one. I'm not American, and the dentists probably had a reason for a crown, but I was confused that they didn't just remove and replace the filling? I have a filling from a root canal that needs replacing soon because it's been worn down from biting etc. Proud of you for calling the dentist btw!! That's something I find extremely difficult.
