The Campo Miner (Geositta poeciloptera) is a threatened
Neotropical grassland bird that builds its nests in cavities.
They excavate in the soil, usually along steep soil banks.
Here, aided by a drone, we show the landscape where this
bird occurs. It’s mainly dominated by soft relief and grasslands.
Together with natural banks, roadsides
and ravines such as this on the image,
provide nest sites for the species.
