Thanks for this. Staying here is on my future list of things to do. I live in the Free State and if it were not for the numerous reviews of campsites on the Internet I would never have known about the numerous bushveld venues to the north of Pretoria.

@@DGOverlanding With regards to fuel prices, for the longest time I had been considering different trailers. Then it dawned on me that it is madness to tow up to a thousand kilograms behind me when a 50kg tent, stretcher and camping table can be loaded into the vehicle. Instead of costing up to a quarter of a million rand, altogether it will cost less than R30,000 leaving a lot of money for getting away many times a month.
Hi. You will have no problem in getting to Jabula with a GTI, in my opinion. Also most of the roads in Dinokeng should be ok, but all depends on the rain they have had. We have not been to Dinokeng for a few months.
