I can almost hear the echo of every First Sergeant and Sergeant Major yelling "You didn't have your eyepro, earpro, or reflective belt equipped... you set yourself up for failure"
@@icehoofI served a few years active duty then switched to guard for a bonus and to go to college and im always blown away by how many guys who have only been in the NG milk the v.a. Disability for the tiny ass shit
@sassythesasquatch8036 Yea, I think a lot of people just see it as their retirement, since the military sucks more and more over time, nobody wants to do their 20
The dolphin dive is so underrated. Like that drunk driver with the colorful short shorts getting tased while he was running and trying to finish his beer
Honestly I knew a national gaurd dude with a CDL and he was literally the ONLY person that could navigate super tight Boston streets with buses and biohazard trucks. He was always on call. He worked for me and also saved the old fella that worked with us' life when he split his head wide open, because he was emt certified.. he did that shit with a first aid kit. EMTs asked "who did this?" He raised his hand. They said "we couldn't have done it better. Good work" and left his bandaging as is while they drove the fella to the hospital. They're not all worthless tubs of lard. 😂 Solid dude overall. Unbelievably respectful to everyone.
No lie it’s the best. First FTX we broke noise and light discipline and paid for an hour IMTing up and down a clay dirt hill. Never been a more quiet night in the forest since
That ain’t even true. My little bitty granddaughter has joined and she been running her lot legs Off I Am Very Damn Proud of her. As I Am ex. SF. She only did it because she wants to go don in Life. Up the ladder not sit on her Ass. And she is a Honor Roll student at That. And going to college in the fall
You can be active duty, then switch to guard and keep eyour old units patch. He was proudly in the 101st, then switched to guard after his first enlistment.
@@joshuabale4923 Its a deployment patch.....He is wearing it because he deployed with the unit. It also doesn't mean he was in the 101st, he could have deployed with the guard and was attached to 101 downrange.
I guarantee not a single Marine has ever said that we're better "equipped" than other branches. Everything we get has been thru every single branch, the police force, High Schools, Middle Schools, ghettos, and flea markets before we finally get our hands on it 🤣
@@jsniffie In America, we train our youth as Devil Pups and they get to field test all new equipment before the Marines are allowed to touch any of it. That's why American schools are so safe.
LOL Great video! US Marine here. Always remember, Brother: All of us (NG, Marines, Army, Navy, AF, CG and now SF) are like TRUE family and brothers. We may talk smack to each other (yes........I've heard the crayon comments a thousand times!), but at the end of the day, we are all part of the same great team!!
Hand me downs from the army consisting of 20-30 year old rifles, pistols and machineguns. Well atleast they getting more m4s and saws from the army since the army picked up two new shiny issue rifles and machineguns in 6.5. Make sure yall buy/build a 6.5 rifle cause they about to switch to mass produce 6.5 bullits
In all seriousness the Army National Guard is severely underrated and underappreciated. Love the Army National Guard just as much as I love the Marines Couldn’t enlist due to medical reasons, unfortunately
@@ethans8585 Try deploying for a year to a sandpit on state duty for a year. And nothing to show for it. Imagine it. No vet status. But 15 months. Poof
He either needs a thinner pouch, or to stick that one below his right arm, where it’s not in the way and isn’t taking up real estate better used for mag pouches.
I will tactically reload my lip at least 20 times a day, therefore rapid access to the admin pouch and its placement closer to said lip takes priority. Well, that and I carry a SAW.
@@timothygould790 then you are doing it wrong. I could have both mine on in like 3 seconds, take both laces, wrap around ankle in same direction, tuck under both sets as they meet in the front and pull back in the opposite direction , push both loose ends into boots. If you did it correctly, they won't come off. I was an USMC 0351 and it worked in Iraq and Afghanistan. If you are salty you can also use the loop in place of bungees to blouse your boots.
As a ARNG guy myself, I can confirm that it really do be like this for a lot of ARNG organizations. That being said, the statement made in this video is 100% dependent on the unit, little known fact is that there are actually some ARNG units that have better equipment and readiness than a lot of active duty units. It’s mind blowing, really.
Ya, the unit, funding and overall the soldiers make a huge difference. Coming off 10 years active, I was always told the guard are all trash and what not. But 143rd outta TX are some hot shit dudes.
@@BadMoonRising92 That they are! We used to have Bravo Company of the 1-143rd Airborne here in Alaska. We used to be the same way. That was about six years ago now. Our organization tanked immediately after that. They never failed at keeping us up to date on the Army’s latest and greatest in terms of weapons and equipment, but good god was it donkey show for awhile in terms of quality training. We’re finally getting back up to the same speed we used to be at now, thank god.
@@BadMoonRising92 It's a good unit, but it's terrible for maintaining your civilian life. I wouldn't recommend it for someone without a stable career.
Look at the patch on that dudes right shoulder and know that he has done his time and probably did it very well and now you know he has a sense of humor.
i was in the air force then the air national guard. went to lowry afb for some higher level training while in the guard. i'm leaning against a tree, hat off, cig in one hand, book in the other. a car pulls up, i casually look up and see one star. i dropped everything and saluted. the general, indicated that he wanted to chat with me. when i told him that i was in the guard, he said; that figures. lol
@@Tytymoon255TTV the guard was cool. couldn't smoke weed due to the pee testing but it got me out of the house, in decent shape and a few dates. the extra money was very nice back then. go air force. army guard sucks. i first joined the army guard, then they had us sleep in those terrible cots.
@@gpsoldier9462 that works.. I meant going to Iraq and Afghanistan. Wasteful spending and we were only there bc of alternate reasons...not to fight terrorism
Hello there Steve hale I just want to tell you that Jesus loves you and repent of your sins so you can inherit God's kingdom and get the free gift of eternal life
Little education: I'm prior 141st FA. "Washingtons Own". A new orleans army guard unit. I FKing hated every second. BUT, I am better trained than most T2 operators. I'm 27. I was trained by prior service Marines, Ex contractor with multiple tours, Combat vets of Vietnam, Desert storm, Iraq, Afghanistan. I was also a security contractor in new Orleans east. I was COLT, An Artillery Observer. COLTS are an extremely rare specialized team. There are like 5 I'm the whole nation, composes of no more than 16 guys per. Before any of that I was raised in foster care since age 7, where I had to fight every single damn day in every way. You name it I've been there. Frankly I should be a warrant being as good as I am, and I know it. It's a little pride ALOT of rage and about getting the job done.
I enlisted in the Guard because I like my lifestyle. Cool change, Cool training. Cool people. We've got prior enlistment from Air force, Marines, BigArmy. A majority are NCO's with numerous deployments. The only time I've heard somebody talking down on ARNG was a drill sergeant back at Ft LeonardWood. He referred to us as "nastygirls" 😂 but he was also the least liked amongst the drill herd, because he was overweight and allowed to be drill sergeant.
Your still serving our country no matter how anybody looks at it Thankyou for your service (plus u guys got into some shit from time to time if i remember correctly)
@@lenovo7999 One of my friend who is a reserve in army national guard, literally everyday he wears a army national guard shirt, hat. Ask for military discount on a 12$ item. Meanwhile there’s me, looking like a fking crack head and no military related anything. Btw I’m a 0311
My brother and sister are both guardsmen, they still have government clearance and are heros a million miles ahead of the general public. Good job hero 🇺🇸
Boot blousers are like what? 6 for a buck? I'm 12 years retired, but I still wear my tacs bloused up over my Johnny Combats, Corcorans, Altamas, 5.11s, et al. Army habits die hard sometimes,.
Love that 82nd patch. How cute. We used to slap in nasty girl patches to start real fights. They couldn't resist and got surprise of a very short lifetime.
I remember when I wanted out I literally told the counselor I hated those boot strings they won't even stay tied I told them I tie them and they come undone
