Can’t believe this happened! 

First trout was a rainbow, second and third are brown trout. Also, trout aren't as sensitive to noise as they are to movement, especially shadows. I've caught tons of trout while boats are passing by. They are also a fish that best not to horse in because they do have soft mouths and they are easier to release when they are tired. Best also to try and keep them in the water if you plan on releasing. Glad to see you in North America. I hope you have/had a blast!

I'm from this area and love to see your excitement catching new species. I used to watch your MorningTide videos and stay up all night envisioning myself doing what you were doing. I got to go in 2019 and caught some land based trevally, taylor, and salmon. All were new species for me. I was on such an adrenaline rush from the very first cast.

A quality net helps with landing trout. Especially if you are in a catch and release or barbless hook zone. Enough practice and they never leave the water. This is a gorgeous area,special.

If you ever need a buddy to show you around some great trout locations in Washington state. And I have some secret locations where you’ll never see another angler and the trout are 100% wild with zero stocking. Mostly because of where it’s at, nobody really knows or thinks about going to it. And a huge water fall for your crazy azzz to just from since you love your cold water🥶😂

Great content as always, and you had a nice cool temperature to fish in👍(trout fight well, but they're relatively sensitive to being out of the water for long, and bowl over pretty easily).

hey cavy the easiest way to tell trout apart is that rainbows will have spots all the way through their tales whereas brown trout don't have many spots/ no spots on their tale. also the colour can be pretty obvious but in some waters it can be very hard to tell.

This is so ironic. I've been fishing that area since 97. The best lure I've had luck with, especially on the browns, was a lure from Australia. You're lure did pretty good too! You're gonna be selling more of them now. Nice to see you here brother! Glad you had a great fish!

Cavy when trout fishing, I would recommend sticking with fly-fishing. Sure you can catch them spin fishing fine, but as someone who came from spin fishing into fly-fishing, fly-fishing will give you so many more options depending on conditions, and can be so much more technical. PS that second brown was sooo nice!

Neat to see you in california, im in Pioneer California, up here we have brook, lahonton rainbow, cutthroat, brown and lake trout..... these arent like a big GT but size for size there all a satisfying fight...... your a tough guy to get in the water to release them ....👍🤘

Absolutely no one: Cavy: water release in 40° water (cavy isn’t stable when it comes to fish)

Trout are very sensitive and fragile fish, you need to be very easy when handling them. Keep your hands wet, avoid holding them by the mouth and release as quickly as possible. My recommendation is a rubberized landing net where you can keep the fish in the water. Best of luck to you!

Sick vid Cavy, i love fishing for trout, caught a 3-4lbs brown trout out of a small stream local to me, they put up an awesome fight. I founsd the best way to catch big ones, is on a float with a big fat earth worm as bait 🎣 yeeew! We have tiger trout and blue trout stocked in fisheries too, they look cool af bro

I was catching Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout in mountain lakes and rivers in California for many years. Always used a small spinning lure like a Rooster Tail. Works very well. 🙏🏻
