Byanca, thanks for sharing. Enjoyed your video. Anyway, the street food market you mentioned at 18:15, it's Albert Food Court. Locally, we called it a Hawker Centre, a place where street food vendors gather. As for Laksa, the one major thing that you missed out at 20:43 is cockles. Also, you should mix the dark red paste with the laksa sauce thoroughly. It's much tastier that way.

You were at Orchard on a Sunday. Those people you see camping/picnic are Filipinos helpers on their Sunday off day. Only on Sunday you see them. Singaporeans will never be seen dead doing that. 😅

Marina south will be gradually filled with new buildings in the coming years...that is why there is a subway already constructed there....additionally the port facilities will be moved to the extreme west of the island at Tuas and waterfront housing will be constructed in these freed up lands

Great video, i will be in Singapore in about 4 weeks time so i am looking for places to visit and things to do while there

On sundays the maids in Singapore just like in HK hit the streets and picnic. Its more organised than it looks to the eye. They literally have no where to go as they are mostly live in. it seems bleak at times in the heat but they are as a whole super happy to meet the fellow country people. They pray, sing, braid each other's hair, dance and generally enjoy themselves as they spill the tea. They are fantastic to talk with as they are true representatives of what happens in society in Asia. Most are very qualified too and many of them have business ideas happening too. Also some of the construction sites get held up with capital crunches and there are also some environmental reasons for slow progress too. I cant remember the stat but the Singapore governement mandates a certain percentage of the island must stay green with mature trees/plants.
