Claudia Gil Yes! The salad bar is open, but it is a little bit different than usual. We have servers stationed at the salad bar to prepare your plate as you prefer.
We went on May 4th for dinner. The salad bar staff created amazing salads for us! Had we served ourselves, we wouldn't have come close to what they did for us! It was absolutely wonderful and was a meal in itself.
No thank you, I can only imagine what the wait would be and at 25% capacity the lines would be sooo slow to move. We love Taste of Texas and look forward to visiting when you are at full capacity once again.
We understand. We can’t wait to be back at 100% capacity. During this time we have perfected our Taste of Texas To-Go offerings and even offer online ordering. On the weekends delivery is available through the DoorDash and Favor apps. We plan to continue offering our Family Packs that have been so popular during the lockdown and they are a great value. So if you need a little Taste of Texas in your life but don’t want to deal with the wait while we cope with reduced occupancy, there are still great options we are proud to offer and we are so thankful for the support of our customers!

Paula, We went on Monday (May 4) for dinner and there was NO wait. We drove in from Brenham and used the YELP app to check if there was a wait (there wasn't). Had there been we could have put our name on the waitlist. Patrons can also call ahead to check. They had their tables social distanced, menus are 1-time use only (we brought ours home), cute tiny disposable salt & pepper shakers, waitstaff are masked & gloved -- they are very attuned to what NOT to touch on the table, and salad bar personnel created the most amazing salad that had I "done it myself" would never have been as good (it was a meal all by itself!). Please please do NOT let this 25% capacity scare you away!
Take home has been excellent, but we look forward to celebrating with you again soon! Thank you for all the precautions you take behind the scenes to ensure our safety! :)
We celebrated with you on May 4th. We had a WONDERFUL waiter, Paul D. His service was superb. And the food... what can I say? It was extraordinary as usual. The salad bar staff created the most amazing salads for us (it could have been a meal all by itself!!). We'll see you again soon!
Given the circumstances, I think it would be better to start taking reservations so you don't have a bunch of people up there trying to get a table at the same time.
My wife and I were thinking the same thing. Is Taste of Texas considering temporarily going with a reservation system - to help better coordinate seating of people and minimizing wait times during this 25% capacity limit?

I've never ever been disappointed in all the years we've patronized ToT. The Yelp app is a plus as well as being able to call ahead. With Yelp you can put your name on the waitlist. It's almost as good as calling ahead for reservations.
