Can 1 Boat Pop ALL the Bloons in CHIMPS?

Can just one buccaneer get every single POP in CHIMPS mode in BTD6? The 2 Megapops Achievement in Bloons TD 6 is awarded after you beat CHIMPS mode on any map with only 1 tower getting 2 million pops. In BTD6 CHIMPS there are roughly 2,040,000 pops available so you have to be careful what towers to place down. This can be very tough since not all towers can pop lead or camo in Bloons TD 6. Will this one tower be enough to achieve 2 million pops in 100 Rounds of BTD6?

For future reference, the overclock will take pops too, since the cleansing foam pops leads. You need to reaim get the foam to off the track for all pops

Glue strike and storm doesn’t just affect blooms, it also attacks MOABs and it also multiplies the damage others towers do the MOAbs/bloons

The reason the pop counter is different is because of regrows anx how fast they get popped before regrowing. Slower popping equals higher numbers.

I think regrow pops don’t count anymore, because people were farming them for paragon degrees

When you are in the challenge mode you can keep the money instead of spending it immediately so when you eventually lose you can try different solutions in case the one you were going for doesn't work

I'm assuming the carrier flagship planes are affected, because other things classified as sub-towers (Such as the sentry expert's turrets) are affected by homeland defense.

The beast handler itself doesnt attack after getting one of the paths, you just need to merge them rapidly

It might get repetitive because you're already speedrunning black borders, but you could use time as a metric because it depends on how fast the tower shreds the bloons compared to whether or not it CAN pop all bloons.

15:16 Don’t know if you remember, but you can turn off monkey knowledge in the main menu when you are doing sandbox. Hope that helps

I haven't tested single sniper-only runs, but even getting all T5 snipers on chimps has always caused a headache. 025 Elite Defender with p-brew does have the best damage potential but that needs a bit more testing. 052 Elite Sniper does greatly benefit from an alc buff and 4xx is enough to give it 100% uptime, leaving you a lot of money for support. Seems that none of the maps (except Logs) is long enough to survive with just 1 sniper. And since you can't place alc on logs, the challenge it's not possible.

If you do the beast handler when you merge them all the pops go to the main tower that you merged it to you would just have to do a easy map so the middle path can pop the BAD

I actually tried doing the all pops sniper. I got to round 92 with the 025 sniper before the stupid alchemist betrayed me and got pops. Since I tried this, my advice is to do the run on logs with the 025 sniper but use a heli (which I stupidly disabled in my chellenge editor run) to move the alchemist as soon as possible. Also, stack the call to arms and overclock for 150% attack speed increase with the glue storm (melts everything) Here are the towers I used: Geraldo 240 Call to Arms 040 Bloon Sabotage 013 MOAB glue 052 Glue Storm 025 Sniper (obviously) 040 overclock 402 Stronger Stimulant (traitor) 020 village for the glue gunners

The Tower Metric is good. It shows whether the tower can hold its own or needs assistance. The more towers obviously the worse off the tower is, the less the better. Keep it on record

You should rank them by Money spent, and number of retries. Money spent tells you how good the tower is, and retries tells you how easy it is to use

for the glue, i think you need to set starting cash to 785 to get a 2-0-0 as start, and trying to get all pops on a 2-5-0 is going to be the hardest challenge

Homeland defense does effect the carrier flagships planes but overclock/ultra boost doesn't P.s. ISAB has done an all pops chimps with the beast handler and managed to keep it all pops long enough to get over 50,000,000 pops. And two megapops has been done with the glue storm

Money leftover would also be really good. Cause if you don’t need homeland it would save a lot of money but you will always probably need the camo detection.

I’m pretty sure the Geraldo pops last time were because his glue has the corrosive upgrade. Either that or his spikes

So I think the Dartling Gunner is going to be impossible to complete this challenge on. You literally can't get past 28 with any form of the upgrade pathing. I tested it and to be able to make it past 28, you need either a 3-2-0 or a 2-3-0. If you go with the 3-2-0 then you need an MIB to be able to pop purple

For ranking/scoring, you'd have to do every tower in Challenge Editor and refuse to buy any additional towers until you lost. Then you'd have to figure out the minimum amount of money to spend to not lose. Then whichever tower has the most money saved up by the end is the winner.

Track resets. Better towers will take less resets as they compensate better for bad choices or bad gameplay.

You should aways get the same amount of pops, you lose some pops on some towers because of the engineer foam that pops lead bloons

all pops chimps with beast handler is kinda easy. did it on skates with a glue gunner village and a max merge 0-5-2 beast handler

i would like to see this done with ace, but specifically the top path ace instead of bottom path as the bottom path feels like it would be too easy? also increase the starting cash until you can buy 1 of them or maybe just get a basic dart near the exit of the map so it doesnt steal pops too much also for leads, 5/2/0 crosspath and micro until you can get a mib edit: or use gerry's fire and camo potions instead for a x-x-1 or x-x-2 ace

Just so everyone knows you can't beat C.H.I.M.P.S. mode with the Sniper getting every single pop. On the longest map Logs its not even possible. You can't beat round 27 would Shrapnel. You can't beat 28 without popping leads. So the only way to win is to get a 0-2-2 with an alch for round 28. But then you alch will get pops on later rounds. Geraldo will always get pops aswell as the BAD is so big he can hit it through the log. I have tried many many times. The only way I can see beating it is if you get 3 creeping Idols on round 27. Then you get past 27 with a 1-0-2. That leaves every other round which I still don't think will be possible but you need Gerry's Fire no doubt. Then you'd somehow have to Chinook your Geraldo around the map to dodge him getting pops which I belive is still impossible.

I'm very sure sniper is possible. I'm thinking Tree Stump may leave Alchemist with no pops. If not then Scrapyard is an option

I don't think it can. I saw many people talking about how it's impossible bc the later rounds the RBE is too much. You'll need Gerlados Fire and very late game you'll need to use perma brew and a support Chinook

I fail to see why keeping track of how many tower uses is bad. More information is always better. We can always determine that a specific metric is not relevant and ignore it.

Now im not sure if geraldo functions this way, but what if when using sharpening stone the base damage is still counted as the tower but the extra damage added from sharpening stone is counted as geraldo's?

i didnt actually do any testing, but off the top of my head i bet you could do sniper on in the loop when the alch is as far to the left as possible, though idk if it would be long enough to beat the bad without top path also in the tack run the total came out to be more than the boat run probably because of regrow bloons, even though regrowed bloons dont give money, they do give pops

From what I saw you can't do it without Geraldos Fire and other weird buffs like that. A single Sniper can't deal with the sheer amount of RBE in later rounds. I saw a few people talking about it in the past saying it's one of the most difficult and almost impossible with only 1 tower.

@hunterishere14523 yeah if i was going in blind id assume its impossible since youd need 025 to have a chance against the bad, but 025 doesnt get alched very well so 98 is probably impossible unless glue storm hard carries

@@aldenstromberg7273 it's pretty hard early game aswell. On logs you'll struggle and you'll need a 0-1-2 glue very early. You need a 1-0-5 sniper for round 28 so you can't use the middle path unless you miraculously somehow figure out how to get Geraldos Fire before then. So far my testing with them it's been fun but very challenging. Currently actually trying it in challenge editor myself

After testing it seems as though round 27 is impossible without some tower taking pops if you go 1-0-2 sniper. So you need 0-2-2 sniper to beat it. Then right after you have the lead bloons so you need an alch but it will take pops eventually. Geraldo will also end up taking pop no mater what spot he is in apparently. I tried cubism but no sniper can solo the early rounds even with a glue gunner. The only other viable place would be resort but your towers no matter where they are will steal some pops eventually. So from what I understand from testing it's a bust. Gerry's fire isn't available until lvl 8 and you don't make enough money to buy it. Sadly my 2nd favorite tower can't take all the pops. Even tried giving his creeping idol some range with a village to see if it helped. It sadly doesn't. Round 27 and 28 are a bust without alchemist

Wouldn't just the %age of pops from the primary tower be the metric? So list the total pops but also say 99.98% were from the tower, or 100% in the boat case. Because you're aiming for 100% pops ultimately
