Can a couple of regular golfers break 80 at the tricky Sea Island Retreat Course? That's exactly what we intend to find out as Frank and Mike play this Davis Love III designed track.

This course used to be the St. Simons Island Club before Sea Island purchased it, Davis Love III & Mark Love redesigned it and renamed it Retreat. At the Sea Island Golf Club, there used to be 4 9-hole courses, Seaside, Marshside, Plantation, Retreat. You could mix and match 2 9s to create your 18 for the day. I used to play these course multiple times per week many years ago. Sea Island renovated and redesigned the 4 9-hole courses creating 2 18-hole courses. Seaside and Marshside were combined into what is now Seaside, Retreat and Plantation were combined to create what is now Plantation. Great job guys, I really enjoyed the video and the rating was spot on.

Sea Island is a great resort! Both the Seaside course and the Plantation course are excellent! I go every year in January and you get treated so well by the Sea Island staff.

Like the rating system. I was thinking something a little more "scientific." Come up with some weights based on what each of you considers most important (e.g. playability=0.25, condition=0.25, and so on to sum up to 1.0) and then give each category a score and multiply weight by score and sum together the scores and take the average of both your scores. It's a little more involved, but hey, phones have excel in them where you can set up the formulas.

When you go to Myrtle check out Carolina National just across the boarder in NC. It’s a Fred Couples design and a fantastic sleeper course!

Hey Mike, get onto the right side of the tee box to maximize your angles. Your big old bender of a fade, would be greatly benefited by simply teeing your ball up as far right as possible. You’re welcome. Keep the good videos coming 👍🏻
