Yeah, THAT'S EXACT WHAT I WANT TO SEE!! Thank you so much bro! Many many reviewers said that "this machine can edit 4k video" and they only use 1, 2 or 3 footage, drag it into the timeline and play it "it works" it not show the real timeline we usually do, inclue easies it must have 2 or 3 video layers, text layer, sfx... I'm looking for a machine that I can edit FHD (4k-maybe) with a cheap price, so your video is extremely good for me! Again, thank you so much!
you can not edit 4k properly on any computer unless you have a a 4k display running in 4k because with out 4k you cant see or even correct 4k color etc. etc.etc. nice thought tho
Nice video. I have the exact same specs and have been struggling with Premiere Pro lagging and unable to edit even using the proxy files I created. I'm now gonna try Final Cut Pro. Thanks
The performance of this system was much better (for exporting and editing videos on FCPX) till a few years ago when Apple changed the engine of the FCPX. After that update the performance TANKED on the 2012 i7. That pissed me off as I was quite happily using it till that point. But after that the export time went at least double of previous, plus delays in the timeline etc. I still feel disgusted over it.
This was actually a very funny video. Its going slow, may take 30-40 minutes, I don't mind, maybe I'll go take a walk. 1.5 hours later... definitely taking its time! I wonder what a new thermal paste application and running it on the 2.6 i7 version would do to the time.
Hi where did you pick this mini mac up for £250 as interested in getting 1 as my kids starting making their own kids youtube channel in which I will have be the video editor but I'm on very tight budget
Thanks for this video. This is exactly what I was searching for. I am looking to venture into video editing and have been exploring macs. The minis offer a great choice if you don't have the budget for MBP.
Would a 2012 i7 MM with 16gb RAM and dual SSD run latest Capture One and Photoshop/LR smoothly? Can I trust a 10 year old machine even if new/old stock?
This is a great video. Full of info. You spoke of adjusting the fans to stay on longer to cool it down. Is this possible to adjust fan speed/length of time? If so, how?
@@TavHD that may increase your editing and writing performance!! You can make your External ssd drive or purchase a a manufacturer ssd drive such as Samsung T5! If you do, make sure your library cache goes to the External as well!
