Yes that's true but we have to truly repent of our sins. God forgives us when we realise our mistakes and ask him to forgive. If we do not repent of our sins and continue to sin, we lose our salvation.

Pigs have split hooves; you can eat animals with split hooves, even those with a single hoof (like horses, although animals like horses, as they r working animals so it is better not to eat them!). They should not have claws like dogs or cats. However, the animal must also be a "ruminant," which pigs are not. Conversely, rabbits are ruminants but have claws, so they are forbidden. Nonetheless, this does not prove the bishop wrong; he erred concerning a written law.

What Acts 10 there means that after Christ died and rose the way to salvation was open to ALL people and not just Israel ….Peter was in this vision to show us that Gentiles were unclean but now because of the resurrection and upon repentance ALL can be saved ….hope that helps
I always figured we aren't supposed to eat pig because they are unclean creatures that can eat just about anything, which could have been ONE of the reasons legion begged Jesus to send them into the pigs. I know I could be over thinking this, but what if some of those pigs survived and reproduced? . . . Just a theory.
Not true, pigs do have divided hoods. “3 Any animal that has divided hoofs and is cleft-footed and chews the cud-such you may eat.” Pigs have divided hoofs but don’t chew the cud(it’s grass only). It’s not a sin for you to eat pig, it’s unclean and you shouldn’t enter a holy place after eating pork.
If you're a Talmmud Jew or Muslim who doesn't believe in Jesus, sure, but they have other things worse than eating what is unclean, but since Jesus said in Mark 7:19 "Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?" (Thus he declared all foods clean.)" He didn't change the rules for insects since those can still make you ill and aren't cited. Leviticus 11:20-23.

Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, *thus purifying all foods?”»* My friend, don't be a judaizer. Don't fall into the error of those who crucified the Lord. We can eat _any type_ of food. We, christians, are not hebrews according to the flesh. We are hebrews according to the Spirit. You certainly would eat a rat if you were starving to death. The Israelites had to eat their own babies to stay alive. I guarantee you will eat a rat if your life depended on it.
