Simple answer form Germany: No -> Compare lap times at Nordschleife Nürburgring. However the Gr86 ist 90% fun to drive (I worked for Porsche and know all 997 and 991 by heart)
No chance. But I saw the misha video with a low boost turbo 86, and it was keeping up with a gt4 on the nurburgring. Sticking one on arguably ruins the purity of the car but it does make it ridiculously quick
@@shift__robinson I actually made an appointment with the only shop in town that does track alignments, then their machine went down before my event. I just set the upper and lower bolts to the maximum settings I could achieve and made them as even as possible. I estimate it's between -1.75 and -2 degrees.
@@jershinator13 Ah, sorry that fell through. At least you managed to get more than oem which is good. I appreciate the info. I hope more track videos are coming!
1 quart oil overfill on track days to solve right hand turn low oil pressure and it works. Problem solved. You can add oil baffle once warranties done.
I will say I reduced to 0.7 quarts, because after the lunch brake I started the car and had a little smoke. I'm assuming a little blowby through the pcv. Never happened again and Ive been running it hard since.
There's a big power deficit. Other than that, gr86 handles better. No, or very little understeer. I have a modified BRZ and can keep up with all high-powered cars on a short technical track. Despite the huge power deficit. It handles better than anything out there. Not the stock car. It has too much body roll. It has to be modified.
