Using a led brake light instead of oem lights will still give you trans problem, you'll need to put resistors to correct this problem, I did not hear him say that and this can miss lead you down the wrong path ! Please put this in ur description if you did do so so people don't hate this video for falls statement.

Using an LED is even worse best answer is to install the load resistors. I connected to the wire on the load side of the brake light switch. Wire runs to the ecu so it can monitor the brake usage. And it senses the brake light bulb by looking for continuity on this wire. Then when pedal is pressed 12vdc is applied to this input. Resistors are readily available on amazon, 6 ohm 50 watt resistor(s)..

I've been told not to put led lights in the 3rd brake and in the tail lights, I know for certain for tail lights cost me a transmission

I changed years ago to led in 3rd brake light and my trans is acting up since, I'm gonna go put back oem light bulbs so the computer k ow there's bulbs in the socket, you can also ad resistors to led to trick the computer you have oem bulbs.

My did this for a year. One of the third brake light bulbs was blown. Replacing it fixed the issue. 99 f-250 super duty.

My truck has had this same issue for the last 4,000 miles and my 3rd brake light is out. I’m going to try this. Hope it works. Thanks!!

LED can give you the same issue as the voltage usage will not meet what the computer is looking for. If you do use LED you need to make sure they are advertised as error free or they are advertised with proper resistors installed to match OEM power consumption.

I removed my bed and disconnected my tail lights to have body work done to corner of cab and on my way to the body shop abs light came on 3rd brake light stoped working and transmission was doing wired stuff this has to be my problem
