Sorry for the late response, it will be a fight to get the driveshaft out, but get leverage on it and it will eventually pop free, i would redo the driveshaft Removal as a video but i no longer have said machine. Best luck on your adventures
@@BanackIndustries that really wasn't that late of a response. Lol Thank you for actually replying. Jokingly I would say "No worries... you can use my machine to show everyone how it's done." LOL 🤣 Unfortunately I figured it out on my own with some help from yourself... the toughest part was the 13mm bolts on each end of the drive shaft. There is very little room to maneuver. What worked for me was clamping a vice grip to the driveshaft... the pry bar and screwdriver had too much slack. I also had to put a cheater wrench on the end of a racheting closed end wrench. Something everyone failed to mention... if u do use a rachett end wrench... only use it to break the bolt head loose... if u keep going... you can't back up or remove the wrench! 😉😄
You don't need to remove the diff and axles. If you remove the bolts from hitch receiver and rear diff you can move the diff back enough to get the drive shaft out once you remove the 2 bolts. Don't even have to remove the tires
How did you remove the engine side u joint? I need to replace both u joint bearing's but having trouble removing the engine side. Would like to know how you took the whole thing off Thanks
Well it's always proper to replace it but, if you feel comfortable with pressing a new ujoint in and running it, up too you, of course always a percentage that it will still be strong and last or not I still have the Same one in my quad still and it seems just fine Hope this helps, thanks for watching the videos
How in the hell did you get the diff out with the axles still attached? The video goes way too quick I cant get the diff out on my 2013 am I missing somthing ? I'll like and sub if you reply lol
Well of course its hard for me to see what has you stopped , but i did have the drive shaft apart because the ujoint was destroyed, also you have to loosen the axle shaft nuts right off and unseat the axles from the wheel brgs and then i belive i just rolled it out from that part
I had to change the u joint aswell but all I could do was pull the diff back enough to pull the drive shaft out, the axles didnt have enough room to pull through only way I think I could get the diff out is taking the axles out. In your video the diff came completely out so easy I wanted to know for the future.
I had an atv lift in the middle lifting the rear. I never touched the swing arms. Maybe the next time you take the rear end apart dont speed up the video haha thanks for trying to help!
