I recently picked up a 23 Sea to Sky and want to install a back rest. I have the instructions but they seem a little confusing so, I look for videos that might help, thanks for yours.
Hi JB, good job on the install video. I had the same backrest on my 17 RTL until I discovered the Utopia backrest for the Can Am Spyder. It was about half the price and it has a lot more adjustment to it to fit the Ryder better. You will love having a backrest either way makes a lot of difference in how long you can ryde. Thanks for sharing this video with the Spyder community 😃 Ryde safe and God Bless Artie
I wanted to see how you did this but quickly realized you don't have the same model Spyder RT Limited Limited that I do. My rider seat & passenger seats are separate. There is no tube holding up the single rider seat either. Maybe add the year to your title in the future.. Just out of curiosity, can you get up on to the passenger seat and somehow get down to the rider seat with the seat up? Due to some mobility limitations, that is how my dealer taught me to mount my 2023 RT Ltd..just curious. Thanks. I do enjoy your videos.
Thanks for your comments. I have a 2015 RT Ltd. With the backrest off you can easily slide from the back of the seat to the front. Thanks for the suggestion and I hope this answered your question.
@practicingretirement Thank you. I think I'm going to need to ask people with the same model year to find out what I need to know. I do like the ability to open up both seats. Reminds me of the Corbin seat I put on my Moto Guzzi back in the day.
