a deep detailed walk through of the the new can am xmr 700! Everything you need to know and how this machine has so much more too offer and deserves way more credit than its been given.
I bought one of the 2023 500 and have beat the piss out of it. I’ve had it for about 7 months and have put over 3500 miles I’ve only kept up with air filter maintenance somewhat and oil changes somewhat and it still runs beautifully. I actually flipped it and had a shit ton of water in the air box and for sure sucked water it and I just drained it and started it right back up and it ran beautifully after. I’m genuinely so surprised at how reliable they are
Just recently picked one of these up and have been absolutely loving it. great review can’t agree more with everything said. you did leave out that there is actually 3 adjustable power steering modes. which you change by holding the start button when the machine is running. i also noticed when you parked in the end of the video you took off the key. i’ve learned that you never really need to touch your key but instead just use the red kill switch on the handle bars. thanks for the great video and thank you for your service.
great video man wonderful information and crazy in depth coverage ....good luck on your deployment and stay safe....come home to ride!!!!! Thank you for your service
Thank you for this thorough review. Would you think there would be a possible way to add a front basket or bag somewhere on the front rack area. Seems like the lateral bars would offer a solid mounting point. I like the front basket you have on the 400.
Great job on the details🍻 Everything you're saying about this machine You're right this XMR 700 is a beast 💪🏻💪🏻 I already have 1250km on it haven't had any problems with it yet and I'm hard on the machine. Best bang for the buck right now.
sure is, more and more people will start to talk about it ! can am knew what they were doing! thanks for the comment bud! enjoy the ride these things are sweet
Very informative. Best walk around so far! I’m not a mudder, so bought the Pro XU HD7 version to keep the visco 4 lock option. So far with 1400 kms it’s been a phenomenal machine
Love the vid and 99% of what u said was spot on. Only critique for me is your review of the phone mount deal inside the front box. I don’t know how rough u are on the machine but when I drive mine my phone never stays on the magnetic phone mount.
@rotaxrednex I have a xmr700 and was riding with some friends. Just cruising down the road about 20mph and hadn’t been beating on it. A buddy of mine was riding behind me and to my left. He hollered at me “hey something is glowing on your quad!” I said quit playing around, there’s nothing glowing on my quad. He falls back and send me a video of the header on my xmr glowing a bright orangish red color. I have contacted the dealership and canam about the issue. You may wanna check yours as well to make sure it isn’t doing it too! Fingers crossed it hasn’t caused any long term internal damage during the break in period and they can get this issue fixed asap! Really wish someone would come out with some performance tuning software for this thing already! Multiple company’s have released full/slip-on exhausts and claim it doesn’t need to be tuned but with the issue I’m having with an extreme lean condition. I believe the aftermarket exhaust would make the lean condition even worse!
@@rotaxrednex I definitely want to get an exhaust but not until they come out with some tuning software for this thing! If it’s running this lean in stock form. I’d really hate to see it with an exhaust on it.
I have the 500.i put a set of 28/10/14's on it I had lying around just to see if they would work.no issue whatsoever.now I'm running a set of 27 zillas. hands down this g3 machine is the best value for money.
@rotaxrednex I live in canada so can get into muskeg alot off trail but looking for something good for mud/wooded trail. I'd say 50/50. The stock tires are good on trail but any tire deep mud and they don't inspire confidence lol.
so you showed us the belt intake and engine intake but where's the belt exhaust? is it in there with the intake? if its not under the cowl with the intakes then you really cant go in water that deep lol
Just my opinion, yes this is a good machine but because of the weight and the price I would still buy the Kingquad over it, over the grizzly or Honda. The Bruce force which I have now is a different animal so it doesn't enter this category in my opinion.
I hear it’s geared really low which is good for bigger tires. But, it’s still 875lbs… what they really need to do is start concentrating on that. Not price. 600lbs 10k$ or 900lbs still 10k……….
I have a '23 grizzly and was considering upgrading one my my other hondas to one of these just so I had something to compare and be different. Grizzly wet weight is 700lbs. The can am 700 XD7 XU is 934 lbs dry. So 234 lbs heavier plus fuel weight. I understand the canam engine puts out more power and is faster but if I have a roll over on any of the many hills we ride I will appreciate it being 234+ lbs lighter on me. :^)
I hear you. I feel like at the end of the day Polaris and Honda go through more, but that’s stock. I don’t see any Polaris or Hondas winning any bounty holes. So it is what it is, bigger is always better. For capability anyway. Those big mud trucks do go through more than anything else.
@@spyder000069I try to. But I got multiple spots on the far corners of a 10,000 acre deal that everyone and their mother has a key to. 8 miles in on one and 6.5 on the others. Those things don’t refill themselves.
Will like to see a video about riding position with a passenger, i ride slow in the swamps of Florida, will bring my wife, most people use hondas with a backrest. Wonder how a passenger will fit on a xmr.
There priced around $10,000 + for a stock 700 here in Canada....... Still around $2000 to $3000 cheaper then the other Brands... A Dam Chinese cfmoto costs moRe.....haa
