There are so many idols who look so much younger than their age, as you can see but like personally I thought Lee Jiah (from penthouse) was like 30 something- she’s 42(?) and I’m shocked
Fun fact: Yang Yoseob from Highlight, when he was a trainee, didn't make the final cut into the debuting group multiple times because he looked "too cute"
@@ashrise like 5’5” (around 165cm) but he has a really small face and well proportioned body so looks taller than his height. Pretty cute/good looking and def a great singer so glad some ppl saw great potentials in him and recruited him
I just hope that they would mixed it up, putting some young KPop idols like leeseo from IVE, yeseo from Kep1er, and Kyujin from NMIXX so they will guess the age base on their looks and not expect it to be older than their looks.
@@RiceSquad Ohh thank you so much, alright imma subscribe now so if you guys releases the part 2 I will not miss it. Either you took my suggestion or not this video still entertaining. More power to you guys!
@@SuperEcho I agree! Once they realized the pattern, they weren't guessing truly by looks anymore. Except the female in the right, she was trying to stay true to the integrity of the game. Kudos!
@@duckbread. I am not Asian, i am Slavic, literally white and European and people confuse my age for younger. I rarely use any makeup. I dont work out. I use products but not as much as i should. The only thing that tells my age is dark circles and me being overweight
Hi! Korean girl here! Fun story: I was in my second year of college just a few years back, and someone asked me what middle school I just got into. I was dumbstruck considering I was 20 at the time. They thought I was around 11. Also, another true story: I know a fellow sweet Korean woman who went to the bar to catch up with her friends. When she ordered a drink, the waitress told her “I’m sorry but we cannot serve drinks to minors. I apologize”. Surprised, the Korean woman took out her ID to show proof she was not a minor. She was 43!
LOL I'm not Korean, I'm actually black but that happens to me and my family a lot. I'm 15 but everyone thinks I'm a 3rd grader🥲. They think my mom is my sister and that my grandma is my mom, aha Anytime my mom goes to buy cigarettes or get a beer or smth, the cashiers always assume she's a minor and will refuse to give her anything until she shows her ID
@@jiminnomonroll how y'all doing this ?? Im 22, i tried my luck by going in to the bar when i was 16 and when they look at my face they just let me in. No need to check any ids. Damnit.
@@fw1253 😭 It's ok, don't feel bad! I honestly don't know LMAO. My family usually wears little to no make-up (except for my two aunts). Other than that, I guess it's just genetics or smth like that idfk I didn't pay attention in science 🤡
For ya'll at least they don't think you're a 6 year olds mom when you're just 13. I walked my little sister into her school and the receptionist thought I was her mom 😭
As soon as I read the title I immediatley said no, they cant because I couldn't too and knowing their real ages was a whole roller coaster of disbelief 🤣
Yoseob looks wayyy too younggg...I've watched a lot of yoseob videos recently and overwhelmed by his baby looks...😂 Can't believe you guys are guessing his age...
Fr tho, I've been his fan since elementary school and I'm a bachelor now, but it seems like I'm the only one getting older here while he got younger looking instead, it's unfaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrr 😂😂😂
If you do a part 2 bring in Heechul, Ryeowook, Rain, maybe Kim Jungkook too because I'm curious what they would guess on KJK, Rain and Heechul especially ^^ but Ryeowook doesn't age either. He just released a new single.
I love how Yoseob is in all of these versions and the conclusion every time is ''he's born yesterday'' "this kid's 14" and they're so chocked every single time and keep denying it when his age is revealed 😆
It’s not just the products, it’s the sun that age your skin. Americans like suntan and we don’t. We try to avoid it as much as we can. When you go to Asia you will see people wearing long sleeves and hats even when it’s really hot.
Not just using skin products tho that help prevent aging, avoiding exposure to the sun, drinking plenty of water, eating healthy & I do think Kimchi helps, I have been eating it more and more over the past 6 months & have felt so much better than I did
@@hoanhuynh7059 also 8 hours of sleep, good hydration, healthy diet, daily intake of vitamin d and fresh air, going out for walks, everything contributes to looking younger, but ofc genes play a huge role too
As a Korean-American, I also get mistaken for someone in my 20s when I’m actually 40. Yes, part of it is genetics. However, skincare and lifestyle choices matter as well. I use sunscreen daily, eat healthfully most of the time, exercise almost daily, and drink green tea daily. Admittedly, I have an extensive skincare routine too. I realize I can’t stop aging, but there certainly ways to slow it down.
Does it mean someone from the western can look young at their 30s if they do kinda the same routines as you or is it partly the genetics that’s the big reason
@@Wahtri Yes, Asians in general have a tendency to look younger. However, 80-90% of skin aging is due to sun exposure. So if a non-Asian adopts the same preventive habits as most Asians, they certainly will look younger than an Asian who doesn’t take care of their skin. Feel free to agree to disagree if you’d like.
That’s y I’m shock every time I look up a k-drama actor/actress from a drama I’m watching because they are always older than I think. They be playing characters that are in their late 20s or in their early 30s but they are 39 and up in real life
jin oppa has literally never had acne in his life and has super broad shoulders. also as a fellow Asian but not Korean, I’m Chinese, I get mistaken as much younger as well. everyone at my previous job assumed I was around 17 and honestly if I was flat chested they would’ve assumed first year in high school.
Yoseob indeed looks very young. Like everyone looked younger than their actual ages but Yoseob is the most surprising one imo. He could definitely pass as a pubescent, lol.
Yoseob may be smol and look very young, but you better not get on his bad side, he can beat the ish out of you, he does boxing XD Plus he's extremely talented, one of the best vocalists in kpop even today.
The fact that Jk is 24 (global age) and they all either guessed younger or around that age for Jin 😂 No but he is a vampire so it makes sense so I don't blame him
@Mr. Empty Jin and Suga have not had PS as of yet. A surgeon confirmed that it was highly unlikely. Unfortunately the pressure is much higher for women
Asians, particularly East Asians, generally, not all though, tend to look about 10 years younger than a Westerner of the same age. Or should I say Westerner tend to look 10 years older than their actual age. I think this is partly genetic, partly food, and partly lifestyle. For instance, westerners like to suntan which makes their skin age faster, when already DNA it's not in their favour. This has to do with the fact that east asians have more melanin under their skin that a westerner.
oh you think foreigners are all white????? asians look younger because of ayego sal and neoteny. "Or should I say Westerner tend to look 10 years older than their actual age" is not even true.
It’s not that at all.. I do think genetics play a big roll for BLACK people, but in all honesty, for Asians I think skincare and plastic surgery in all seriousness is something that plays a roll in our good ageing.. applying heaps of skin care products to our skin everyday is a very normal thing, and I don’t know if you’ve ever used our skin care stuff but they’re really good lol.
@@latinasawntop I'm an East Asian GUY, so I don't really use skincare other than the usual face wash, and once in a while, face mask to feel fresh and "detox". With so little luxury spent on my face, I still got mistaken for someone at least 10 years younger. Granted that not all east asians (or asians for that matter - eg I do think Indians generally look older than their actual age) age the same, esp those who drink and/or smoke a lot. Skincare helps, but genetics come first, otherwise how you explain those female celebrities who owns all the expensive skincare pdts but still didn't age quite well accdg to their age. Like the girl in the middle of this reaction, I thought she looks 30ish when she reveals she just 19 or early 20s i guess?
@@lulu_Lm Do you even know how to read? I didn't use "foreigner" because that doesn't make any sense when I'm just saying what I observe even in the general population. You are entitled to your own observation, nobody cares really. And so am I to mine, and I don't give a shit whether you feel the same way. You can think westerners are 20 years younger than they look and I really don't give a damn. Lol...
I’m so happy you changed the channel name, cause whenever new videos came around it never showed, and now it has and I never want to miss one Hugs from Brazil 💛
Xuimin and Baekhyun should be there , they would hella confuse like Jin kinda don't look that young ( I mean he looks like his age which is young)but Baekhyun in Candy looks 17 , Xuimin age backwards anyway
Yoseob can make anyone believe he's under 20 haha... You can make him blend with 4th gen boy groups' visual.. if I were not his fan I can mistakenly thought that he's part of a 4th gen group...
It's not all about skincare, it's mostly genetics. Asian usually look more younger than their actual age, specially in East Asia contrary to Americans and I think it's totally fine either way.
same, yoseob can actually be my child even though i'm way younger lol he is so cute, by the way you can include mamamoo's hwasa for a twist like maybe they will guess her older than 30 but no, she just looks mature❤️
im just binging these videos atp loll so funny to watch them guess and get shocked haha and lool yoseob and kim sarang is gonna be in every video and gonna shock everyone everytime haha.
haha reactions with Yoseob the baby, not even maknae. fun if you could do something like they'll guess oldest to maknae in every group. please include 4minute/dreamcatcher/btob too
Ive grown up on Korean media and entertainment so this was easy for me LOL, while not guessing the exact age for some of them, I knew their debut years/what time some of the stuff they were in came out, so I was able to ball park the ones I was not too familiar with
The question should be how old do they look, not how old do you think they are, because after being horribly wrong the first 2-3 times ppl are just going to start guessing older just to be closer to right rather than what they actually think.
I got a friend who was 27 at the time he was kidnapped. The kidnappers thought he was 14 and wanted to ask ransom from his parents. Thankfully they let him go peacefully for not being a kid
But Yoseob is renowned not only for his ageless looks but more importantly for his beautiful and powerful vocals. He’s arguably the best Kpop vocalist. Check out Yoseob and Highlight singing Wave: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yXpzx5Ekxjo.htmlsi=vUPsgtnLpLvTN_uN
To be fair, Yoseob is famous for having a baby face... you can tell he has gotten older if you compare to his older pictures, but, yeah, he looks like a child
Hi. I'm Korean-American and now I live Japan. This happened to me and my sister and brother about 20 years ago when I visited the states with my 9 month old son. The three of us decided to go to Las Vegas while I was there. When we got there we went into the casinos to lose some money. While we were browsing the lady dealer at one of the black Jack tables asked us if we were old enough to be in there. We said we were (I was 31, sister 29, and brother 27). She still didn't believe us and called a security guard and asked him to check our ID. So we showed our driver's licenses and confirmed our age. Then she said "Why do you look so young? ". It's an Asian curse. ;) I'm almost 51 now but many people still thinks I'm in my late 30's or early 40's. Just thought I'd share my experience.
