Discontent among people in a democracy takes many forms, often directed at the government. But people also direct their anger at each other, in both good and bad ways. In a live taping from The Loft at the Algoma Conservatory of Music in Sault Ste. Marie, Steve Paikin hosts a conversation about how angry people can transform into good citizens.
It's part of the TVO Today Live series, sponsored by the Wilson Foundation, and the guests include: Matthew Shoemaker, Mayor of Sault Ste. Marie; Sabreena Delhon, CEO of the Samara Centre for Democracy; Joel Syrette, Director of Makwa Waakaa'igan and part time Faculty at Algoma University; Diane Kalen-Sukra, author of "Save Your City" and "Civic Resilience," and founder of Kalen Academy, an online training institute for civic leaders; Michele McCleave-Kennedy, Sault Ste. Marie District Labour Council Executive Member and a Vice President at the Ontario Federation of Labour; Michael Friscolanti, Editor-in-Chief of Village Media.
