lore wise morgott was a really good commander so it makes sense he was able to lead his army to victory. especially since he brought a well thought out team. perfumers, archers, etc.
I think Morgott’s power in the lore doesn’t come from his strength, but rather from the fact that he commands the forces of Leyndell, which I think can take down just about any other army besides Volcana Manor
Morgott didn't even have his Draconic Tree Sentinel. Lyndell doe shave the largest army in the lore, they were able to take down Gransax the biggest dragon ever though Godwyn was probably the one who took him down. The only armyies that stalemated with Lyndell was Rennala's Army and Volcano Manor.
Meanwhile Maliketh only required two henchmen. It was expected since he can solo her sometimes. Godfrey's army was overkill though, I don't think he needed all those knights since he can give her a run for her money on his own (as long as those Hoarah Loux grabs work).
Because she is so easily stun locked those with status build ups like the Black Night Thieves stun locked so much DD. Her poise needs to be raised quite a bit otherwise she just gets stun locked.
@@jaredgreathouse3672not when she's fighting whole armies. When she is fighting whole armies and their bosses it is not an advantage for her to not be staggered, stun locked or knockbacked. If she has all of that enabled then she is at a huge disadvantage. She will have most of her attacks interrupted due to the constant attacks and almost get nothing off. She will be beat all the way down to her second phase without doing hardly any damage. Then she will nuke the area and probably be killed while the nuke is still in place. That's how most of her battles facing armies go. To have a chance she needs to be able to fight back which means can't be getting interrupted knocked back or staggered. If malenia is constantly getting hit she cannot attack back at all because she will be knocked back or knocked down on every hit. Unless she manages to get a special attack started. However if she is hit before the special attack starts she will be knocked back or down. So how is it advantageous for her to have those things removed here. If they are then she can't fight back how is that fair. She may be broken but she's not broken enough to deal with whole armies and their bosses. I think this video already proved it. Even with those things removed she loses the majority of these types of matches but she would have won more had they been removed.
There are times when Maliketh can wipe the floor with Malenia alone. Adding two Black Blade Kindreds is just bullying her at this point. This is one exception I can condone bullying 😂
Putting the perfumers in their army was great, not only did it protect Morgott, but most of the Heavyweights, like Gargoyle and the tall pagens with their automatic crossbows. Imagine if he uses this kind of protection during the fight, since he uses golden order spells he could invest in healing spells, it would definitely be worth it.
Gideon you had help and they yoloed on her rot. Also, Bjorn, you’re getting really good at the cinematic potential of this sort of video. In your exposition, the music opening and the timing of the troll roar was epic. Love this channel :)
The spirit summons one is really epic, down to low health and stealing to full life then beaten to low health again then stealing to full life again then got beating again to low life then kill her
Rot immunity and perfurmer buff did a lot of heavy lifting there, but yes, that was an intense battle of attrition of Malenia trying to outlast everyone else.
more like can Malenia survive any army. honestly a boring vid. he should've taken away stagger and poise break to give her a chance. also 5 crucible knights can kill her
The cool thing about malenia's fights, is one moment you see her being MOBBED by like 20 things at once, and next thing you know her health increases by like 60 or 70% and is just like JESUS CHRIST, either that one big stab or WFD
Should there be more waterfowl dances? I feel like she should have done more waterfowl dances 🤔 (sorry, I just love Malenia). Also, the endings where she takes everyone down with her are so tragically beautiful.
You should remove knockback and take away her poise so she can fight back. She can't depend on rot to bring her victory in these situations. She still needs to be able to get some other attacks off but she can't because she's to busy being knocked back by attacks. You should try this again removing her poise and knockback.
This is true, but poiseless Malenia arguably wouldn't lose at all here, maybe to the Destined Death army. So keeping poise and knock back is the only thing that would make it a fair fight
@@jaredgreathouse3672 I disagree, a poise less malenia would lose here. She would just win a few more. Besides she only beat 3 armies. The three armies without a real boss. In most of the fights the nuke is about the only attack she got off. How is that fair. Attacks are coming so often she can't even fight back due to being knocked back or down on just about every hit. That's not fair either. It all depends on the NPCs she is facing and how often they do or don't attack. If they attack often and are swift with their attacks she might not get an attack off. I've seen this happen, but if they are slow with their attacks and don't attack too often she can get attacks off.
The waterfowl party was amazing lmao. This series about really strong and custom enemies (giant jar and giant dragon [bad at names, srry]) made me think about... Prime Radagon? U know, not the body possesed by a Elden Beast but the real one at his prime moment. I don't know how hard would it be to create that, but it could be really interesting to watch. Like... With some stat buffs and some new movement patterns (as the godskin trio). Another enjoyable video. Thanks fot keeping on this
How perfect the Leyndell army was. You had the archers in the back with the range DPS, the support perfumers, the cavalry and gargoyle leading the charge and Morgott following with the knights ✊️
They are the largest and probably best fighting army in the lore, they took down Gransax the biggest dragon ever although Godwyn probably did most of the work there. The only armies that stalemated Lyndell was Volcano Manor and Raya Lucaria army.
I generally don't mind Morgott getting fucked over in these videos (kind of prefer that most of the time tbh), but at least this once I'm happy for him having one of the better performances this time. Then again, it would be embarrassing for him to lose with rot-immune assets like Gargoyle and Golem archers. Also, glad you decided to go with the more lore-accurate 2 BBK with Maliketh instead of 5 from previous videos. Shows that it's still more than enough amount for Malenia.
At first, when I found out about how strong Godwyn was to stop the Dragon War almost singlehandedly, I thought there's no way the Black knives could have killed them. I would like to formally retract that statement.
Godrick Soldier: We did it, My Lord. We defeated Malenia, Sword of Miquella Godrick: *puts a hand on the soldier's shoulder* Oh, you sweet summer child...
The spirit ash army rocked her sh**. That was a battle for the ages. 28:40 The climax of the rot clones fight was so epic. She sure got a taste of her own medicine. So satisfying.
Mogh & Godfrey standing there dying to scarlet rot is funny. All Godfrey needs to do is rip his shirt off to get rid of it (phase change to Hoarah-Loux removes status effects like rot), and Mogh just forgets that he can possibly survive the rot using nihil lol
sometimes I think what if Malenia remembers all the fights on this channel. Imagine she sits down on her throne, lits a cigarette and says to you: "Yes, son, I saw some shit".
Hey Bjorn, could you do a video on Melina vs Bosses? I don't think anyone did that even after all this time, tho she's kinda weak in the Morgott fight you could buff her stats or give her a friend like Alecto or Tiche
