Lucas has just been framed!! By that sly Walden and where is his friend Janette (did Walden get to her first… we did learn he is also a murder suspect).
Yep just been set up in the worst way possible. Could lose everything. His friend has gone missing. He has the pressure of Oil business for another year. Mine reopening. What happens to his Saloon?!
Give him a break? What about Nathan for 1.5 seasons who had his job on the line, got his heart broken, almost lost his life and his horse, and then when he finally makes a new friend she ends up being a fugitive. This was due to Lucas playing with the devil, he got himself into this mess. I don't feel sorry for him. Of course he is innocent, but he should have known better.
He didn't play the devil. He was working with the U.S. government (U.S. Treasury was trying to capture Walden. Just need to correct the misrepresentation of the storyline.

It is really hurtful to witness suspicion and mistrust from their side towards Lucas after knowing him all these years and knowing WW is a crook....frustrating 🙄
Lucas is innocent. A man who is always on the good side and does good. And He has found love and home on the verge of losing it all. And to see that Bill instantly has doubts too (and nathan but he always judges quickly). Lucas has done alot for the town and ppl over the seasons.
🤦 Oh no, I don't like where everything's is headed and I know it's only a story line but still. Deep down slide I had a feeling they were going to mess this new season up somehow. Please tell me I'm dreaming or it's nothing. When calls the heart Is a good series and I do not want to see anything bad happen to it.
Bill hasn't liked Lucas since he came to town and bought the saloon and Bill seems to have a big chip on his shoulder about everything. I see rumors' on social media that Jack W. is leaving the show. I hope not because his character is important to the series.
Because series' portrayal of the saloon is not a reality Women didn´t go in them. They catered to miners, trappers, and gamblers, which Lucus was and had a prostitute. There is no such thing as a different saloon as Lucas said.He would go banlrupt.
@@johnmontgomery4923 I looked up when women began going to saloons. Starting about 1890 women did go to saloons there was s side door labeled as ladies entrance. Working class women often went to saloons in groups or singles to eat. Many went because they liked the free lunches. In WCTH The QUEEN of HEARTS is actually a saloon/ restaurant/ hotel.
@@johnmontgomery4923 You are right, no women were allowed in a saloon pre 1890s not even Soiled Doves. Madams ran brothels' where a man could purchase the services of a women, but the series is in 1921 after the first world war. Saloons were beginning to allow women in at that time and they weren't always ladies of the night and there is a thing called artistic license.
Geeze Tinker is making this look more phony than ever. Illegal gambling books from New Orleans, warrants from Chicago. Trips to LA and Sanfancisco and this goofy French contact . Isnt this set in a small Canadian town? And of course poor Lucas as long as Elizabeth stares at him with her loving eyes he can never do wrong.. haha Again they have taken a nice show with a good story line and turned it into a bad Hallmark Movie. Folks its how they write it! it is not real life Im sure the gals in the early 1900's in rural Canada didnt have french nails perfect makeup and diamond studded ear rings.

Loving stupid eyes. Jack is rolling over his grave about Elizabeth´s pick. Jack never died. There is a record of any Mountie in that time period dying of an avalanche. Every deal he made, he didn´t want Elizabeth to find out. She didn´t have this trouble with Nathan. Nathan was raising a child. While Lucas was banging prostitutes. He was a gambler. Stole ten thousand dollars from other gamblers. My guess if not to have his parents but his ancestors owned slaves. Taught Natan´s niece how to cheat is cards. Women didn´t kiss or hold hands until married. Who had the time to light up hundred of candles
Nobody really know that much about Lucas when he first come to the show. The writers just keep trying to make him out to be to good. There has always been a suspension side of him. Why are they trying to keep on letting Nathan be involved with Lucas like the way he is defending him. Nathan should not have to been buddies with Lucas. They just came out of triangle together and the writers acting like nothing happened. Give Nathan a brake let him have some time with his own personal life. The writers are doing some crazy and nonsense writing. I hope they will turn it around before season 9 ends. Because its boring there may not be a season 10.
I completely agree with that last remark El Scott is right give Nathan a break and give him a decent storyline he should be the hero on the series he is in everyone's eyes
We know Lucas is a good man who is honorable and upstanding because that’s who is and has been from the start. And we literally found out in season 6 why he was little mysterious as he was protecting his friend Janette the very one we hear again in the episode from loan sharks who took her money and burnt down her home - he saved her from it and got her money back which is why they came after Lucas in HV and reason why he was quiet and little hesitant to share details. So yes we do know the man that Lucas is and has been. Again the writers just shown he is being framed up by Walden etc
Nobody really knows anything about Nathan eather so we could believe he’s shady as well because Lucas haven’t did anything shady just the opposite giving hope valley resident jobs throwing the biggest Christmas dinner ever free of charge donating library to the town with books included Lucas Bouchard is a honest businessman with a big heart that’s why Elizabeth feel in love with him because of the person he is given just like she is
