Yes on the platisma muscle (if I ear correctly). It's the best best place to start with Botox. This muscle is working hard and the ugly impact (effects) is the creation of the marionette lines where we need to put filler. @@Jhl-love
This is the one I need, too. I want it done so badly and my husband finally told me “If it will make you happy just do it!” I want a little filler in my lips, too. First and foremost though is my jowels. I hate them. I’m 52 and I feel like them alone make me look 72. For real. It truly makes me cry sometimes.
What happens if I have sever bruxisim? I feel this condition has made me age significantly (I just turned 29). Now I have visible nasolabial folds and feel like my smile is a bit crooked, too, which I read can be caused by it. I have gotten maseter Botox and even trap Botox but my neck and shoulder muscles are so tight that I feel they’re pulling my face down. Is there anything to do about this?
Another great video! How do you know so much?! It's incredible and I love how you've used different colors of markings to distinguish different muscles you are talking about THANK YOU DOC!!
Also my jowls need help! How many units botox do you think it'd take to see noticeable jowl improvement? I've heard it'll take 20-35 each side, but you would know best I think
I've gotten Botox in my neck, and I didn't notice much of a difference. I did notice that it felt like I had to think about swallowing, as if it was slower. Haven't gotten it done there since!
Appropriate and conservative doses of Botox to the platysma muscle should not affect swallowing. Higher doses can give a “tightness” feeling in the neck which is very uncomfortable. Doses vary depending on the size and strength of the muscle.
@@DrBitaFarrell Thank you. This is so good to know. Not sure if I want to try this. I'm a little nervous but you get good results from it. Tough decision, ha.
Yes it's true. I've had botox there before and it gave me terrible jowls, I now have a lower dose to reduce my bruxism and jaw clenching but it doesn't cause jowling.
If you look in the mirror and say E.ee(reallyexagerate the EEEEE SOUND) then say OOOOW.... DO IT over and over E OW E. OW E OOW... YOU will see an amazing reaction your muscle will lift and react like a lower face lift do this for at least 30 times or more... The next day you will feel that you have a sore neck and throat.. This means it's worked do it regularly and the results are amazing..
