I can see why this would be cheaper than a replacement, however, it's going to have a siginificant impact on the balance of the racket and the cosmetics

Let me tell you why this might be a good idea. A typical tennis racket like this costs around 8000INR in India. Our service including shipping comes to around 1000 INR. For one eighth of the price, you get. 3-4th of the performance.

Usually around 1.2-1.4g. Ideally it depends on the location and extent of the crack.

What tape du you use?

I'm sure he uses UD carbon fiber tape (uni directional) but I use 90g / m2 or 120g / m2 carbon fiber no more, thin to the touch and very fine. Don't use THICK carbon fiber, it's not good. will it be useful !! ??
