In this video, we give a quick intro to our series of easy-to-use, feature-rich and low cost CAN analyzers.
All loggers feature built-in SD cards (8-16 GB) and are stand-alone. Simply unpack and connect to the CAN bus and the loggers will start recording the raw CAN bus data into simple *.TXT files on the SD card.
When you've got what you need, simply extract the data via USB (or the convenient and fast WiFi transfer for the CL3000).
But it doesn't end here:
With our optional 100% free software, CANvas, you can easily configure your logger with a range of powerful settings.
These include cyclical logging, file split sizes, parameter filters, triggers, real-time clock, WiFi setup and message transmission.
CANvas also makes it easy to convert your raw log files.
Simply load all your files, add the relevant parameter conversion rules (incl. support for the *.DBC file format) and click convert!
The tool even provides options such as log file down-sampling, merging and more. With the converted data, it's a breeze to get your insights via your preferred tools (e.g. Excel, MATLAB, Ruby, ...).
Finally, with the CLX000, you can stream real-time CAN bus data easily. If you wish to integrate with your software, you can use our simple machine-friendly interface for this. But you can also stream CAN data via our CANvas / Wireshark integration.
This lets you show CAN data in human-readable form (scaled engineering values) via the built-in OBD2 conversion and *.DBC support. You can even plot real-time graphs, add colorization filters and more. We also provide vehicle spy / CAN sniffer functionality that's perfect for reverse engineering and car hacking.

Guys! Can anyone tell if any CSS product can retrieve history of events via CAN bus? Is it technically possible? I mean, say a vehicle had an accident, and I want to know what happened just before and/or after accident. Any information like speed, RPM, seatbelt usage, headlights, etc.. Can this CAN logger do that? thanks.

Hello Joe, If the CAN logger was been logging details when accident happened you would be able to read details afterwards using the saved log.

As Pasinda says you'd need to have the data logger be installed prior to the event. The only exception to this would be if the vehicle had a built in SD cards that would perform the same functionality, but this is practically never the case.
