Today, Munchkin cats battle with the Bean Bag Fillings and more! Welcome Munchkin, thanks for watching and hope you have a meowtastic day! Munchkin is also on: Instagram - / munchkin_yt
The proper way to go about running experiments with animals. They're not being forced into anything and they're not being put in any pain, moderate discomfort at worst. Just seeing how they react to different scenarios.
I’m so sorry 💔😞 I feel weird about liking your comment, but I’m doing so and replying to it so that hopefully it will be seen by as many people as possible.
Most cats don't eat things that aren't food. Definitely better at that than dogs. But it really depends on the cat weather or not this would be safe to do
apart from the possibility of the cats eating the polystyrene balls, what do you do with them afterwards? that stuff wreaks havoc if it gets out into nature
Replying to this to hopefully help it climb to the top comments. This damn near borders on animal abuse. You’d have to watch a cat like a hawk to make sure it didn’t eat any of those things, never mind several cats. I can’t believe RU-vid keeps allowing this.
@@izukumidoriya525 I encourage you to ask any veterinarian about this. Not one you find online - ask one you meet in person. Thank you. Edit: Also, I suspect the phrase you were looking for is “willy nilly”.
@@izukumidoriya525 Their concerns are warranted though. Cats clean themselves all the time, and with so many beads sticking to their fur. There's a good chance they may ingest some. (cats can't easily spit something out that's in their mouth like a human can.) And bowel obstructions can be fatal. And even if it doesn't get to the point where it becomes fatal, it's not really a good situation when stuff like surgery gets involved. A lot of unnecessary pain as well as the wasted time and resources that would be needed to make a cat healthy again. It's one of those "something could go wrong, so it's better to not do it" situations. And I guess the animal abuse angle comes from the fact that as human beings, we should know better than to put our pets in potentially dangerous situations.
I love how they called them white beans Fun fact they probably also know they paw pads are called beans because we say it so much around them (“you have such cute beans”) so it’s probably just awkward now.
@@user-qy3hp2fy6v wengie used to have a cat called mia but she died one year ago and her owner got luna as a new cat for her loss. You can still search up the video "Rest in peace mia"
@@nighty_kit yeah mia is wengies old cat but she died from eating some long string that butchered up her intestines till she coudnt breathe and her owner made a video go check out my reply its called "Rest in peace mia"
Where tf did you learn that harmless bean bag beans cause cancer??? California's ridiculous laws on labeling almost every object as containing cancer producing chemicals??
@@EthanBuzzy There are parts of the world that don't even allow it's use as packing filler. It's amazing how Americans allow their bias to effect their ability to perceive reality.
What’s even more disgusting is that this is being presented as something cute and funny on a major platform. I’ve seen some comments saying that there are fillings like this that are safe for animals, but even _if_ that were true, that doesn’t change the fact that _a lot_ of people who don’t know any better will see this and emulate it with harmful bean bag fillings or other items. The irresponsibility and lack of care for animals this channel owner exhibits is repulsive.
If your cat ate Styrofoam, you should monitor them and contact your veterinarian. Depending on the amount consumed, Styrofoam can cause serious illnesses and can be fatal to cats. ... If you witnessed your cat consume a lot of Styrofoam or believe they did, don't put it off. Take them to the vet as soon as possible! Maybe reconsider thinking this is cute!
@@TheStarling001 I know, but if they decide to eat it there’s not much you can do to stop them. We have a cat and a bean bag and my friend said if my cat eat any of the beads it could kill her!
Yea didn't take me long to find a comment regarding my concerns. Whoever's idea it is I just have to say its dumb and dangerous. it is an unnecessary risk for a youtube video but people will do anything for the likes so Im not surprised, i just feel bad for those cats because their owner is dumb.
@@TheStarling001 this is CLEARLY safe. The cats are CLEARLY alive. These types of video take time to edit, and the cats would've been showing symptoms or dead before they even finished editing. You're horrible for assuming the worst in these owners
I have a curious cat and I like to bring or build things for her to experience, but this is NEXT LEVEL! ♥ Your cats are lucky to have you and I'm lucky you record this for inspiration :)
It's actually animal abuse. Those little foam bits could get lodged in intestines. They could get lodged in ear canals or worse, in their airways. Pet enrichment is TOTALLY needed. However, THIS is not how you do it.
@@OgdenM I disagree strongly on the abuse part. This could not be 100% safe like you said, but it is a far stretch between playing with your cat and abuse. Otherwise we could all just demolish all the playgrounds in the world, because kids might break their neck. It's okay to be careful, just don't forget to live.
@@CarolineLurks, it's animal abuse because they are doing it for views and to make money. It's akin to telling a kid to jump off something that could potentially hurt them. If the kid does it of their own free will without being told after you've told them they might be hurt, fine, then it's not abuse. These cats don't have the sentience to know that they should not be playing with these things. Therefore, it is abuse.
Cute video, but these are actually really dangerous for cats, and if you're not careful, they could suffocate on them. Glad you kept a good eye on them.
@@ultrab2777 Fr, I saw a channel where this lady let her cat eat spaghetti noodles. People may think it’s cute however, it’s extremely bad for the cats (animals) health.
and the part with the canned food, really irresponsible. to put any food so close to these little beads (usually made of either plastic or styrofoam) seems like a terrible idea.
This is a deformity. It can cause back and chest problems that can be very painful for the cat. It's a condition called Lordosis and it almost always results in a painful death.
The fact that people can't see this is a huge problem is problematic. Munchkins are animal abuse. They're not cute baby kittens. They are bred on purpose with a genetic mutation related to dwarfism that gives them shorter front legs and it is illegal in many countries. Most common issues with them are osteoarthritis, spinal and rib malformations, lordosis and scoliosis and many other. They also can't jump the way normal cats can for a twofold reason, both because of their deformities but also their deformities are so painful. Breeding animals for exaggerated physical characteristics, particularly when it compromises overall health, is irresponsible. People should place the long-term health and welfare of the animals above their need to watch something "look cute".
