They did a good job of making the stakes higher, making major region having to go through play ins, and making sure same region dont play each other at beginning defo made it all the better

@@user-xh4ei9oq6xfor me I feel the main reason was that teams like G2/PSG stepped up, and to a lower extent TL/LLL/GAM. I felt that with the format added so much. If they hadn’t it would’ve just been a bore until the 4 way between LCK/LPL. G2 showing that they could compete added so much to the matches.

We were blessed with insane match ups! A competitive PSG, competitive G2. I just wished that Faker didn't have the wrist injury. It was painful to watch.

This is nowhere near Worlds 2022, no? Lots of heartbreaking/tense moments. Besides, Worlds is where teams are really desperate because it's the highest achievement in competitive league.

He doesn't need to engage, he can take his time when you outrange that heavily. It was just the complete wrong mentality around the game.

@@YamatoCannon213 Yeah, i think he definitely went too HAM a couple of times when he didn't really need to W that aggressively into the enemy team... But like, BLG's whole ethos as a team (besides Bin sidelane) is basically giving ON a champion that does well in teamfighting (engage supp or Nami/Renata) and outfighting teams. That's what they do best. It honestly looked like BLG improvised into a poke comp mid-draft for Game 3 (which they aren't as drilled on) and that kinda killed the Ornn angle for ON, which he usually opts into when pairing with Senna... I guess Kench makes more sense with a poke comp than Ornn who wants to engage and that kinda fucked with ON's mentality, cause he's so used to just playing aggressively before a fight, while in Game 3, he basically just had to do nothing most of the time and just wait, play reactively. Kind of hard to adjust to that when you're so used to playing the other way. Gen G stacking ocean drakes also didn't help. In any case, they ended up winning that game, so it didn't matter. I guess my point is that BLG didn't do ON any favors with the way they drafted... Even Game 4, what is ON suppose to do on Nautilus with BLG's team composition? Zeri has no kill pressure, a farm/scale merchant, which is not what you want to pair with Nautilus. Nidalee stays hiding in the outskirts chucking spears, Bin is perma side-lane... When Gen G group and posture for map pressure and wards, ON is basically the only one that can walk forward to contest and not give these things up for free... But in doing so he risks getting collapsed and that's what ended up happening. ON had some brainfarts you can't afford to make at this stage, but BLG also didn't make it easy for him with the drafts and calls.

It’s not fault not to catch clutch plays he did in this series for example with seju at the end of game 2, but I would recommend trying to check real things watching top tier teams competition. The fact that he can pick Karthus at finals is also exceptional even though there are not much we can show with the champ.
