I just watched this set oh PhiDX's channel and was gonna paste the same comment here, but this video doesn't have PhiDX's or Speedkicks audio. So to anyone reading this comment it'll make more sense in PhiDX's video. My breakdown is that Tone just had PhiDX scared in the first 3 sets. I've never seen anyone dash that much into someone's face that wasn't a Mishima. Tone just a lot pressure on PhiDX. Once PhiDX stopped being scared and stopped poking with jabs and df1 like a Demon's Souls noob with a shield and spear (and complained he got counter hit off his jab) he started his comeback. Specifically that PhiDX stopped being so scared of Tone's movement and paid more attention to his attacks which improved his mix up defense. SpeedKicks actually gave PhiDX contradictory advice. At first he told PhiDX to just get in there, then after getting counter hit, he told him to be patient. Luckily PhiDX instinctively picked up on the right offense at the right time. That 5 minute break really improved PhiDX and got him to focus more on his own offense rather than his opponent's. Overall PhiDX's whiff punishment was trash which was a factor in him losing at first, but even at the last sets he wasn't capitalizing on whiifs especially with a character like Noctis. Tone had the pressure, but lost it after that 5 minute break. Speedkicks described him as a "doer" and didn't really give him much advice besides d4. The d4 did help a little bit until PhiDX parried a low with no health left and won that round. That heavily discouraged him from poking with lows. He did try again with a hatch kick in a letter set, but PhiDX blocked and punished it. The problem with Tone's lows is that he throws them at the time of a round when someone would throw a low. Making them more predictable. I believe Speedkicks didn't really understand Tone's pressure and instead of mixing in low pokes, I would've told Tone to go for plus frames and armor attacks to compliment his playstyle and increase his pressure. Because nothing says "fuck you" like a safe armor attack with pushback on block in this game. You might as well use Mach Punch if your gonna dash that much in your opponent's face anyway. As for plus frames, everyone thinks of b1, but a heavily underused plus frame move Bryan has is db1+2~2. It's also a launcher on normal hit. The move before it discourages its use, but it can also transition into hatchkick or Bryan's snake dash. This creates a mid low mix up with the low plus frames on hit and the mid launcher on normal hit with plus frames on block. A perfect option against a defensive player. The only downside is the move required before it and honestly is more of a stance than a move since that attack by itself does like 3 damage. Overall Tone wanted to keep up the pressure so he wouldn't have to deal with Noctis at mid range and most annoyingly the projectile. When it comes to fighting games Tekken is not only one of the only 3D, but also no projectiles. I personally and exclusively only play Tekken so i don't have to deal with projectiles. So i can see Tone might feel the same way and wanting to dish out this DLC character that really should've been in Soul Calibur.

Why are you always spinning & taunt-dashing like crazy? Even if you do it safely, it's waste of focus and energy... And I think it's a bad habit that you should drop before T8 unless you wanna end up entertaining casuals like Inkognito😜
