Hawk vs Daniel... A fascinating match... Hawk is the MOST unpredictable fighter in the Karate Kid / Cobra Kai universe.... Daniel (young Daniel even more-so), on the other hand is extremely predictable: stakes low, he is bound to fight poorly; stakes extreme, he fights with the heart of Miyagi! But with Hawk, the stakes would be extremely difficult to determine from young Daniel’s point of view. Daniel would not be able to to gage the danger level, Hawk could be a jobber in a tournament or a Chozen death match. Humble opinion... Fascinating match up.. Thanks for posting!
yet he got pushed off of a huge mountain by Johnny and his crew when they were bullying him. He got his ass beat in a 5 to 1 battle at the Halloween dance. He got tore up by Kreese and Silver when they set him up. Yeah, so much for plot armor.

Daniel beat all of the 5 Cobra Kai bullies including Johnny who taught Hawk. Only months later Daniel beat Chozen who was taught by Sato who was taught by Miyagis father in a to the death fight. Of course he would have beaten Hawk. I dont even have to watch this video to know the answer.
Hawk is a monster. He might be not the best fighter, yet, but he will put his soul towards the training and can become the best through pure dedication.

I think that Hawk’s aggression would be his undoing. He lacks the greater understanding to shift into defensive. Hawk’s fighting style plays right into Daniel’s style.
I now see why Star Wars Theory created this channel, Cobra Kai is a lot like Star wars with the anger leads to Dark Side and else, I also noticed it while watching
I think defence is more likely to win in tournaments, but offensive in real life. It just depends on the fighting style you are taking. I know it’s not a martial arts, but arguably the greatest boxers ever were defensive fighters, so defence does seem to have the all-round advantage over offence, but I think it really will depend on how well offence or defence is being utilised.
obviously you are (for most of us) star wars theory & that is the best of the best, but i love that you are capitalizing on all these series & that I can go to 1 person for all the facts on all the shows 🙌

No, he only said that he ALMOST did the ultimate kick in his early 20s. That doesn't mean his early 20s, was his prime overall. Daniel has gotten way better afterwards, just less athletic, making it harder to do. Even Robby could do that kick, because he's more athletic, it's not a matter of being in your prime as a fighter.

Hawk is only doing it because he was brainwashed by Kreese. He was a little dickish under Johnny but didn’t become the mega chud until kreese arrived. I meant that he was like Bobby because once Bobby realized how toxic kreese was, he changed his ways and became a better person. And you can see the conflict in hawk. Kreese is making hawk choose between “popularity” and his friends. And once hawk realized that Kreese doesn’t care about him or any of the other cobras hawked ditched kreese. Hawk will be a bad ass at tiger fang. But he’s going to do it right. He’s not going to bully kids just to bully them anymore
Hawk lost to Dimitri at the end of season 2. That destroyed the teflon character he had. They better fix that early in season 3 or Hawk will be at risk of losing credibility.

I think Daniel would have beaten Hawk. Daniel knows Miyagido which revolves around having a balance. Best karate comes when one is focused and is in balance with life. The problem with young Daniel was he struggled with staying focused which allowed fear and anger to control him. It took Miyagi to snap him out of it. If Hawk fought Daniel during his episodes of fear he would win. But focused Daniel is a different story.
Dimitri beat hawk with little knowledge of miyagi do when he actually tried to fight cause he has no defence daniel from 1984 would destroy hawk Edit also miguel and all that skill would be no where near johnny's and that it just looks closer cause they are vs less skilled opponents
I binge watched the series I had no clue I would love it that much, now I'm excited to watch video's like this, I'm thinking about watching the orignal movies again too.

Hawk vs young Daniel: a fascinating matchup! Daniel, on the one hand, is highly predictable, Hawk, on the other hand is the most unpredictable fighter in the KK / CK universe. Daniel would have difficulty gaging Hawk. He would have difficulty determining the stakes. Daniel would start off with doubt, not knowing if he was up against a non threatening jobber in a tournament or a life threatening Chozen in a death match! I don’t know because Daniel would have the tools for task inside, but he wouldn’t know what tools would be required. Fascinating to consider, I don’t know because Hawk is unpredictable no matter the circumstances... my opinion based on some fascinating insights from others.... thanks Thanks for posting!
@Darrah Hall yeah, the young Daniel would be outmatched. from the get go... plus, he’d be utterly confused by Hawk’s unpredictable nature... Daniel would be unable to get in the necessary frame of mind quickly enough... so, in *almost* every scenario, Daniel would find himself on the floor in a few seconds... I have to agree, Darrah... 👍
The young Daniel could only somehow manage easy sidekicks like Dennis from Karate Kid 3, and that poor guy who was in the nightclub... broke his nose ouch 😓... Hawk is definitely crazy and he is his own one man show! Unless young Daniel had to fight him like -as in a boss battle Daniel more likely than not would’ve been taken by surprise and catch a beating.... but maybe Hawk wouldn’t do so well against the young Daniel no matter what circumstances... just my thoughts 💭 thoughts QL 💭

He didn't lose every fight. He won in the tournament before facing Robby a that fight was basically a draw. He beat Tory who is equal to Sam . He lost to Robby in the mall and to Miguel in the woods because he was cocky and didn't train. He lost to the 2 strongest teen characters in cobra kai that's not a shame. And Demetri never beat him. Hawk was just tired from beating like 10 dudes before and he didn't expect Demetri can fight so he got caught offguard. And he didn't LOSE. He just got dropped. He got up right after
Season 4 should be like this Hawk goes to his house an hes sitting on his bed then he gets a phone call from his dad but what if his dad is mike barnes cause hawk is just like mike barnes an then later in the season mike barnes comes back then hawk tells him to come down to the dojo then they both go down to the dojo an thats when daniel sees mike barnes an then another flashbacks comes that would be really cool!!!
"Plot Armor" LMAO, Daniel was going toe to toe with everyone he fought. That isn't plot Armor, That shows Daniel can hang with those types of people. Daniel was fear haxxed by Barnes, Once he got over his fear he beat the shit out of him. Daniel will legit solo Hawk, Hawk hasn't shown the feats that Daniel has shown. Daniel was able to beat Chozen who did a feat Calced at Wall lvl and is able to catch a fly which is subsonic speed. Daniel one shots and Blizt, period.

Second: Hawk in season 3 is way more skilled than Daniel. And third: Hawk knows nothing about defending? I suggest you watch the tournament from Season 1 again( his first point against Robbie).
Watching the new season, I think hawk would DEFINITELY win, watching when he truly fights at his best, he could probably kill someone who ATLEAST has fighting experience, like we saw him almost kill a guy.
