Febreze's Breathe Happy ad campaign promises to mask the smell of some of nature's most horrible odors. Consumer Reports checks it out with five blindfolded panelists. Read more: bit.ly/UNkGtZ
I've been skeptical of Febreze ever since their advertising showed those animations of little Febreze droplets surrounding the funk molecules. If a manufacturer has to resort to cartoons to buoy their product, you know they've got next to nothing.
It's amazing to me that people still think spraying something nice over something bad "gets rid" of the smell. It doesn't, never has, never will. Masking a smell and overwhelming your nose with a new smell is eliminating anything, even if it smells nicer. Getting rid of the cause and cleaning the area is the only thing that really works. The rest is just temporary.
Clean well and open your home up. I'm big on Windows. Even in my car I always roll windows over ac even in Cali summer. I hate riding in someone's car who always has the windows up. Nauseating
I don't agree with this video. I am a nurse and I bring a can of febreeze with me every shift. I will not go into the details of the smells I encounter on a weekly basis. Believe me, some of them can be reeeally bad. Freeze does the trick everytime!! It leaves the room smelling wonderful.
I, too, am glad I'm not your patient!! My mother, also, thought it was a good product to get rid of "old people" odor; it makes me nauseous!! AND I made the mistake of snatching up some "REALLY GOOD" deals on "new" blue jeans at Goodwill, only to find -- AFTER 6 WASHINGS -- THEY STILL REEK of the stuff!!! Anybody out there have a solution to my dilemma?!?!?!?
i believe that febreeze works on lingering odors that are present AFTER the source has left. otherwise, its like putting perfume on a guy with BO. the smell will morph into some musty, flowery hybrid.
You Slammed Febreze! If there was only truth in advertising. No one would have ever smoked in their lives. Great job on outing the lies that Febreze is spouting.
I contacted P & G to ask what I could use to eliminate their FABREZE STENCH from blue jeans I bought at Goodwill. The ONLY solution they could offer is 'CONTINUE TO WASH 'EM; EVENTUALLY they won't smell anymore". REALLY!?! Even skunk odor can be eliminated with ketchup!! The wonders of modern chemistry!!!!
I used febreeze for a couple of months and wasn't impressed at all. The only reason why I brought the product was because it said eliminated odor on the side of the bottle. I was fooled and will never buy this product again. I guess I'm paying for the name brand than whether the product work.
^ get ur refund it really doesn't work. Tried the ones for the car that clips onto the vents then the ones spray into the car and I still smiled the odors left behind :/
That's a funny video but, let me say my little Tony was spraying really bad in the house he's a cat. Anyway, I used this Febreze stuff and it worked it's what kept my girlfriend from getting him spaded.
