Yes, Jennifer Doudna got her Nobel Prize for CRSPR, though it was not specifically for HIV cure. Also excited to see what happens! With CRSPR, genetics modification seem to be the most promising method now.

As of December 2023, American Gene Technologies initiated Phase 2 for FDA consideration to continue the clinical development. *mRNA HIV Vaccines* : As of December 2023, Moderna's mRNA broadly neutralizing antibodies (bnAbs) HIV therapeutic vaccines, eOD-GT8 60mer (mRNA-1644) and HIV Trimer (mRNA-1574) successfully expanded production of a rare type of antibody-producing immune B cell in nearly all recipients. The human clinical trial study showed that the vaccine was safe when administered twice to each participant eight weeks apart. Some participants reported only mild to moderate side effects that went away in a day or two. The vaccine boosted production of desired B cells in all but one vaccine recipient (35 of 36).
