I've listened through this a few times, and while I have not read the literature you cite, I have to say that I am really wrestling with the delineation of these categories. People are complex beings, but even the naming scheme isn't that helpful to me personally; just from the names, I expected "emotional sexuals" to be the "smothering" type but instead they seem to be the ones that feel their emotions more intensely...yet have difficulty expressing them. It frankly feels counterintuitive. But yes, I took the test anyway. I tested at 58% physical. (I'm a heterosexual male). The very first characteristic mentioned under "physical sexual male" was something on the order of "macho type." And macho is definitely not me. I hold doors for my wife, etc., but the textbook "man's man" is not the way I see myself at all. Some of the other characteristics fit though. So...I am taking with a large grain of salt myself.
After this video I went back to watch the "What is your hypnotic suggestibility" video again. After watching it the first time I was very torn, but now that I look at it again, it is pretty obvious I am >90% physical :) Thank you so much!
I was hypnotised in the 70's, in order to stop smoking, he also taught me self hypnosis, which I don't remember, is their any problems with being treated by you and being taught self hypnosis, you are very effective
71 emotional, and I feel like it's frighteningly accurate characterization - but some of that is your usual "county faire charlatan tarot card and horoscope" reading, where it's general enough it's applicable nearly universally. At the same time, given your more specific descriptions, I feel like I come down hard enough on the "YES! THAT'S SO ME! 'You've had your fun, now leave me alone so I can roll over and read a book'" side of the equation that it's not entirely "wrong".
I was interested in this because I think I am a lot more emotionally sexually suggestible than physically sexually suggestible - but I don't think there is a healthy reason for this. The test I took had separate questions for Male and Female... yeh, well, I took both tests :P - For Male I scored 10/100 Physical and 40/100 emotional (20% physical, 80% emotional). But for Female I scored 60/100 Physical and 40/100 emotional (60% physical, 40% emotional)... So the scores out of 100 are the same for emotional on each test, but for physical they are vastly different. (I had to use my imagination for both Male and Female to be honest) And I'd say this is fairly consistent throughout my teenage/adult life. Yep. There was an overal suggestibility test as well: 0/100 physical suggestibility and 55/100 emotional suggestibility (LOL infinity percent emotional).

Recently I went to a local hypnotist and was rejected as too difficult to hypnotize based on a quick test i was given. You have convinced me to delve into hypnosis further. I am from the US. I just moved to New York from Oregon due to a job change. Actually I have been lucid dreaming for about 6 years now. I am exploring change via hypnosis and have been reading books such as Awaken the Giant Within by Anthony Robbins, also audio books by Denise Lynch who is a hypnotist. There are a number of books that present the 4 step method to change our old habits for new ones. I see hypnotism as a way to reinforce positive changes. Once again, thank you for your videos. This is so spot on and it describes us perfectly. My girl is an emotional and I'm a physical. I'm always compelled towards sex and I feel such a strong drive to snuggle, caress and, well, smother her. She couldn't stand it and, of course, rejected me constantly which really hurt. Then I'd go take care of my needs alone and feel really sad. It was tearing us apart. BUT! We discovered hypnosis! It took a while for us to realize we could use it for our relationship. She was using it to sleep better and I was using it because I thought it was kind of hot and kinky to be controlled by an attractive, confident woman. One day she walked in on me when I was totally tranced out, experimenting with some hypnotic bondage. It took her a long time of shaking me to snap me out of it and she sort of got mad that I was having more success with hypnosis than she was. As we were talking about it I started snuggling up to her as usual and she blurted out, "I should hypnotize you to keep your hands to yourself!" We both laughed but then thought, hey why not? Long story short, she wasn't able to hypnotize me but we sought out a professional online who was. After some negotiating and scheming and lots of hypnotic trial and error we worked our way to our current arrangement. I am completely unable, no matter how much I want it, to initiate any fondling with her. My hands just don't do it. If she chooses to initiate I can respond. I'm also totally unable to pleasure myself unless she utters the words "belt off". Then I'm free to touch myself until she says "belt on" and regains control. When we started down this road I had no idea how successful it would be. We were surprised when it worked at all but I sort of thought it'd wear off after a few days. Now, over a year later, it seems to be stronger than ever. I've tried so many times to overcome it or break free and I can't. I'm happy to report that we're closer and happier than ever before. I don't recommend it for everyone but it totally worked for us.
Film Producer I am guessing you are referring to Alicia. However if directed toward me, yes most certainly. I'm generally more submissive in my approached to more than platonic relationships, very feminine, I think it was because I was raised to be a good boy, instead of a bad boy. Yeah well if you are referring to trying being a sub. Most definately, I'd be down with being Alicia's sub to experience being a sub, but I am guessing being a hypnotized sub of Alicia is a highly unlikely thing she wouldn't want to try. I think Alicia is probably too nice to be a dom :) She is probably one of the most glowing female hypnotists on youtube, and that is one of the reasons she is one of the only attractive female sleep hypnotists that don't make me think about sexual things rather than sleep. It is unique with her.
After doing the test it says im 58% Physical/42% Emotional. It's an Interesting test. I have to say I would have rated myself different by hearing the description of the video. Or lets say I would have thought there would be a different result.
+Dave Wuji 58% physical is so close to the middle that it would make sense that you have a lot of characteristics from both. Most of the video is focused on the high end of the spectrum :)
Without going into too much detail here are my thoughts. I don't feel that I smoother my partner, but I guess my perspective may be somewhat biased. While I enjoy the physical aspects of sex, I also take a great amount of joy in just being with my partner. Since I am a switch I am equally likely to dominate as be dominated.
+LittleJoel29 Yeah I think that is what a lot of people will experience. This subject is extremely fluid and there is a lot of room to change depending on the situation.
this would be interesting: How to raise children, so they end up with specific traits from these categories? - Some will certainly make their lives more enjoyable than others, so I don't plan to have kids, but if I did, I would like to raise them with their future traits in mind...
I think I'm mostly physical, but what with my Social Anxiety Disorder, I have a hard time expressing my feelings. Regardless, interesting stuff, I look forward to taking the test, I subscribed recently.
My results are: Physical: 61% Emotional: 39% ... While interesting, these categories are so broad, this really tells you nothing about _which_ 60% of PSM I am...
I still don't see how it is relevant to hypnosis... Do you use different techniques with each? Do you make the hypnosis induction / imagery more sexual for physicals? Wouldn't they just feel like it's cheating, or something? ..... No idea how that could be applied...

Wow, i've always been uncomfortable with tests or categorizing in general but this description feels perfect...so i feel like i am mostly emotional here with a need for physical manifestations -also its weird that i feel like all my important relationships were the same as me! +tagger1888 Yes and it will change over time. At the moment I'm 58% emotional but I remember about 7 years ago being a 64% Physical. It can vary greatly :)
This has been an interesting afternoon working with your videos and the tests...So my raw scores were Q1=25, Q2= 70; with the following results: Physical 26 and Emotional 84...not I need to rewatch this video to make sure Emotional isn't the spooner...I am so not a spooner...but I forgot what the category that was and where I fall on that specturm...lol
So... I tested 29% physical, 71% emotional. Hmm. Higher than I expected to be honest but like you already mentioned this percentage could shift quite a bit depending on who you are with. I wouldn't expect that emotional ratio to increase for me, but to decrease. Not sure I'm 100% on board with Kappa on a fair chunk of his theories but you really do have to have a marker point for further research to either build on - or to disprove, right? Someone mentioned a theory about a correlation with a submissive personality scoring higher emotionally regarding this hypothesis. I think it might make a bloody interesting hypothesis in itself but I wouldn't put money on it being provable. Seems to me that there are too many uncontrollable variables to make a good experiment to test for a link between dominant/submissive personalities and physical/emotional sexuality. I could be wrong - maybe someone can come up with a good experiment but it won't be me ;o) In my (entirely speculative) opinion, your average, well-rounded person will display aspects of both dominant and submissive traits depending on who they are with at the time but this fluidity will be built around a stronger core which is less likely to change significantly. Hmm, interesting. Exactly 50/50. Have to confess though, my answers were based off what I can remember from my last relationship which was nearly 10 years ago now so I make no claims of absolute accuracy to the answers that I gave ;o)

Are the same personality types typically attracted to the same or opposite types ? I also agree the a person's type can change over time. +Dan McKnight Typically opposites. I think that's where Kappas does come in handy. It helps people understand their differences rather than being offended by them. Physicals need to be very close to people and emotionals need space. If a couple can understand that, the physical wont be offended and hurt when the emotional needs space and the emotional can be more sensitive to the fact tat the physical requires more attention. I did Periscope from The Easter Show but only a tiny bit because it destroyed my phone battery.

Truncated explanations can mislead people. There are many more types of people, but that would be getting into psychology, and that would turn into a 3+ hour video. :P

I'm not buying this at all - trying to push people into such small boxes based on a few narrow definitions always ends up sounding like an astrological horoscope... there's no nuance or subtlety to it, and people's personalities are always nuanced...

Honestly, everything and everyone has seperate circumstances, I feel like the report she made on the information on the book was really good and was explained great, however the facts were truer in some parts and then in some others they were inconclusive and seemed to be influenced by some sort of grudge or experience with the author.
