Can I be gay and still go to Heaven? 

Pastor Jeff here. I love that our Director of Students tackled this question and topic. He does. GREAT job of breaking this down! I want everyone to know that historically the Christian church has not done a great or even a good job when it comes to the topic of, and people who, practice homosexuality and alike. (which by the way, for the sake of not being confused, let’s just say that when we say homosexuality or gay here, we are talking about people who are practicing a homosexual/gay lifestyle) So I am so glad that Sandals Youth dove into this! Let me first say this, NO ONE knows ultimately who goes to heaven or hell except God! Seriously, no one really knows and no one unequivocally can say someone is or someone isn’t going here or there after they die. (Matt 7:21) Now, for those who have confessed their sin and believe in the heart, that Jesus is the son of God, who was raised from the dead and is living a life (Romans 10:9) to the best of their ability to glorify Jesus (based on this confession and your belief) are saved and going to be with the Lord when they die. Anyone opposite of this, based on the Bible, will not be joining the Lord after they die. However, we, people, Christian or not, do not have all knowledge of where people are truly at. This is up to God and His authority. With that said, lets jump right into the question. “Do Gay People Got to Hell?” NO… IF… they have a repentant heart (Luke 13:3) and are turning to God and denying themselves and taking up their cross to live for Jesus. If they understand that the act of homosexuality is not what God intended (Jesus said in Mathew 19:4 “4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female”) then the answer is no. Please understand that Jesus quotes in Genesis and reminds us how God made people. Male and female. Nothing else! However, because of the fall of man and sin entering the world, this introduced sin to the world and humans with many distortions, evils and other sins… I am sorry, but homosexuality is one of those distortions that goes outside of what God intended. “Do Gay People Got to Hell?” YES, if they are not repentant, and do not want to deny themselves, take up their cross and put their sexual priorities below the Lord and turn from what is not Gods intent for their life. (Luke 9:23) NOW HEAR/READ THIS!!! 1 Corinthians 6 9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. So not only if you are actively practicing homosexuality (which means you are not desiring to leave that life) will you not enter heaven, but neither will, idolaters, drunkards, people who steal, people who are greedy, all of those who are sexually immoral (heterosexuals who fornicate and are adulterers, etc.) will also not enter. Praise God for His grace, that will set you free. But if you DO NOT, turn from the things that don’t please the Lord, then you will not enter heaven based on 1 Cor 6, Gal 5:21, Ep 5:5, Rev, 21:8, Heb 13:34 and Gal 19:21. But know this everyone! First, ALL OF US are sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. So all of us need help, have work today and everyday we all go against the things of God. So PLEASE dont judge! Romans 3:23 But at the end of the day... know this!!! 2 PETER 3:9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

I’m gay, and had a huge spiritual awakening. Now I’m inclined for singleness and celibacy.

I’m a gay male and my faith is God/Christ and the Blessed Mother is stronger than anything in life in my soul. By the grace of God I have complete confidence that I will be ascended into the Kingdom of Heaven when my time comes. I practice celibacy only because my desires are of care and intimacy not just random sexual encounters. Thank you your post that means a lot to me and my spirit. What we all need to do is to start realizing, whoever, whatever we may be, that we won’t go ANYWHERE when we die.

What about the scripture that talks about being turned over to a reprobate mind and men abandon the natural use of a woman and women abandon men to sleep with women. And also what about those who love me will obey me and those who love me will be loved by my father. I hve sin in my life and hve made some terrible choices but I grieve over my sins and I always repent turning away from the sin. I’ve never been proud of a sin nor paraded around telling everyone else they shld be proud I steal or drink or what ever sin I might struggle with. I hold my head in grief that I sin against god. About time somebody told the truth instead of trying to not hurt the gays feeling by telling them the truth, the real good news that they can be forgiven.

So why are there so many religions all claiming their unique route to God? The answer is that they are all man-made fairy tales mostly written in an age when world literacy was low and the knowledge of science, mathematics and the universe was much less than it is today. Even today we know very little about it, but enough to debunk many of these so-called religious myths. There is obviously a creative force at work which is beyond human comprehension. Everything in our world is finite; it must have a beginning; and end; a boundary. We cannot grasp the concept of infinity which underlines our insignificance in the universe. So why do most religions try to imagine God/Gods as super-human(s), living up there in the sky somewhere? Absolutely ridiculous. Did you realise that the first Christian bible was published 400 years after Christ’s death? All the multifarious stories were passed along by word of mouth. No one knew anything about Christ until he was 30 years old and 3 years later, he was crucified. All the stuff about 3 wise men, being born in a stable, a guiding star, Angels coming down and all of the other tales are man-made fairytales. For humans, love is natural and has no boundaries or human control. We all look for love, and when it comes it is magic, irrespective of gender. Hate is taught.

Dan McClellan (bible scholar) has some very good helpful understanding on the topic of sexuality in its variants in the scriptures. I have same sex attraction, and still god gives me dreams and visions and support which helps me and others around me. Please be patient with God and your fellow beings despite what they may understand at this time. live the best way you can and Christ himself will help with the rest, whatever that is meant to be for you. and dont look down upon yourself because of others or your own negative thoughts.

In my day, your sermon could not even have been delivered. The hate and vitriol would be overwhelming. I am grateful I have lived long enough to hear a more balanced view of the fact, that ≈ 3-7 % of all populations are gay. I hope the old schoolers don't attack you, good man. The Gospel requires belief/faith and repentence. The Gospel produces obedience.

Thank you making this video I too believe God doesn't care who you love and what relationship you have; I too believe God only wants us to worship and love him no matter what. I have many people who in they're churches are accepted with worship despite being either gay/bisexual especially these same people were once bullied by many because who they were and thought was wrong to divide but we as God must accept one another and worship him no matter who and what we are. I still believe god and pray

No one knows if our name is written in book if life, no one knows if you are saved or not. But its very clear that God hates sin whether you accepted Jesus Christ or not. As christians alwaya claim that its easy to be saved, you only need to accept Jesus Chris as your Lord because we are saved by grace and not by good works, I totally agreed that we are saved by grace but there is a difference between good works and sin, you can do good works and continue to sin but you can also do good works and walk away from sin. Jesus called us sinners to be healed, to walk away from our sin or any wicked thing.

Keep bending the doctrine, no problem, the gospel will remain until the end, it's up to you to folllow it or not.

No one who encountered Jesuse ever stayed the same. He was always casting out demons so if a homosexual came up to him he would have cast out that demon. Call if for what it is evil, perverted sin.

I am becoming alarmed that so few Christians seem aware or concerned with the Three Doors Problem. Most Christians believe that accepting that Jesus is the son of God is how you obtain salvation. Next of course is what does that mean. Then we are presented with the Three Doors. The first door is in the Gospel of Mark. Mark has no interest in Jesus's birth. He is an ordinary man beloved by God like Moses or King David was. He becomes the adoptive son of God when God sends his dove to anoint him. This was the Jewish conception of a Messiah. The Second Door is in the Gospels of Mathew and Luke. Jesus here is the son of God because Mary gives birth to a child fathered by God. This seems to be the favoured choice among Christians. Finally the Third Door is in the Gospel of John who believes Jesus was with God since the beginning. Before the Creation. Three Doors but only one gains you entrance to Paradise. It seems harsh but Christians often ignore the fact that Jesus did not want many to be saved. In the Gospel of Mark when Jesus was alone with the Apostles they ask him why when he speaks to the crowds he uses parables. His answer is so they will not understand and will not be saved. We all know our Gospels and are at least nominally aware of the doors but not totally realising the implications. To not see the doors is doom and woe to Clergy who keep it from us.

Jesus got on a cross and died for us!! How dare us take that for granted and use his blood to continue in sin. Then be proud of urself. Disrespectful and disgusting. This angers me in righteous anger. He suffered to give us forgiveness so give him some respect and put that sin down. Repent. If you can’t find the opposite sex attractive then be celibate. Love the lord enough to obey him.

Accepting Jesus is not an immunity to hell. If you truly love Jesus then we should hate sin ( not the person ) but the sin as God hates sin. And we should not encourage sin because satan will always use us especially christians to decieve about their beliefs in sin.

I have a gay son. Should my son go to hell for being gay ? Should my wife and I also go to hell for bringing a gay son into the world ? Gays are born, not self created. Gays had no choice or say in being born, or being gay. Anyone who called themselves Christian, but condemn gays, need to rethink their understanding of the love Jesus taught. There is a lot of not to do's. Meaning, we are all going to hell. My advice is, look in the mirror and ask yourself..am I perfect ? The answer, if you are honest, is no.

Speak truth to people. Tell them to repent and fall in love with the lord. If you put a lover above obeying the lord you are committing idolatry along with the sex sin. We are told not to put anyone above the lord. If that same sex relationship or the adulteress relationship is more important to you than obeying the lord you hve placed that person above the lord and hve set that person up as ur god. Idolatry. Tell people truth. Tell them to repent for the kingdom of heaven it as hand.

This topic is muddied by the fact that not all claiming to be gay are that way becaus of a biological basis. A person was "wired" at the time of conception as gay is totally unique. This person (if choosing to follow Christ) would choose to not act upon their sexual desires. They would follow biblical instruction.

2 Corinthians 5:17 states, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" Therefore, stop describing some Christians as gay Christians.

I have to give you 10 thumbs up on this topic. I am not here to judge anyone of these so-called profits here on RU-vid. I am from a spiritual background and I have seen many things being around my Grandmother may God bless her soul. She would say God loves everyone and he is always forgiving no matter who you are just ask for forgiveness for your sins not for who he created you to be. For the Gay men and women out there I know it's very hard for your parents and friends to accept you but, live for God not them and you will ok see how God will set you free mentally. Here is a verse to give people an indication of what God thinks of homosexuality. Leviticus: 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death. their blood shall be upon them. Kinda knocks a hole in the teaching that God never condemns homosexuality. This is only one verse, there are many other verses that address this issue.

Unless the pope changes the wording in the Bible. Your answer is a definite NO.

Jesus didn't go through the hell of dying so that we could continue to indulge our flesh. This is an example of someone who is devoid of God's Holy Spirit and one who has not diligently studied God's word. You are not saved by Jesus' death, but rather justified (made righteous) only to enter into the father's presence to receive forgiveness. Then you go on to the process of sanctification (being made holy). We are sanctified by the word of God (John 17:17). We have only begun our journey of sanctification. It is not an instant process. Finally we will be glorified with him. Only those who endure to the end will be saved (Matthew 24:13). No one will see God if they are not sanctified (Hebrews 12:14). Go, and sin NO MORE!! (John 8:11).

All of us go to heaven

I wish conservative pastors like this would stop stretching Jesus’ response to a question about divorce (and view that marriage should be a lifelong commitment) in Matthew 19 to condemn gay relationships as not of God. Perhaps, God does frown upon such relationships (and perhaps not), but it goes too far to apply that passage in that way; find a better evidentiary proof if you’re going to condemn a whole class of people! Besides, why do such pastors insist on viewing gay relationships only through the prism of sex? Gay relationships embody so much more than sex; like most relationships (especially long term ones) self sacrificing love and commitment are what inform the relationship-not sex! Viewing gay relationships only through the narrow prism of sex informs a bigoted (narrow minded) opinion-definitionally speaking.

Jesus Was Born Incarnate Jesus was born incarnate to a young Jewish virgin, lived a sin free life, was illegally persecuted and then crucified on a cross on Calvary. He arose three days later defeating death and ascended into Heaven where He sits at the right hand of God.. Jesus met with 515 people after His resurrection in a dozen different occasions over a period of about 40 days before He ascended into Heaven. Jesus knew He was entering the world to be the final and ultimate sacrifice for the sin of mankind. His body had been divinely prepared by God specifically for that purpose. Jesus was going to die for the sins of the world, and He knew it. Moreover, He was doing it willingly and joyfully. Jesus came to earth to reveal God to mankind and teach truth. He came to fulfill the Law and offer His kingdom to mankind. He came to show us how to live. He came to reveal God’s love. He came to bring peace. He came to heal the sick. He came to minister to the needy. He was raised in a family who didn't believe in His divinity. He had six half-brothers and two or three half-sisters who didn't believe in His divinity until after His resurrection. What gets me is demons knew His divinity but many men and women of His time didn't. I presume Mary and Joseph knew His divinity. But in Luke 2:49-50 [NKJV] “He said to them, [His earthly parents] “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” This makes me wonder, did they not understand Jesus' divinity? "But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6:33 NKJV) Luke 3:23 states that Jesus was "about 30 years of age" at the start of his ministry. Jesus preformed 14-15 miracles (they were called signs) in the three years or so of His ministry on earth. Many miracles were preformed by Jesus Christ but not specifically identified and recorded in God's word. Jesus' miracles were followed by Jesus forgiving the individuals of their sins and commanding they sin no more. Many of Jesus' miracles were not identified. No other religious leader forgave mankind of their sins. Our sins separate us from God, and there’s nothing we can do to make things right. So, we need someone to save us from our sins and make us acceptable to God. That someone is Jesus Christ. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for among men there is given no other Name under heaven, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 GNV) That’s why God sent Jesus to earth. Jesus’ death on the cross paid for every wrong we’ve ever committed or will commit in the future. Jesus made it possible for us to have a relationship with God the Father. We are sinner from birth and need help, Jesus Christ is that help, our only hope. Therefore by the deeds of the law (Ten Commandments) no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law our sins are recognized not saved. We must confess (repent) of our sins and iniquities before Jesus Christ, at the foot of the cross daily. Jesus said in Matthew 28:19, to His disciples that: “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” I will not stand before The Great White Throne of God, my sins have been cleansed by Jesus Christ's crucifixion on the cross. And I am clothed in the righteousness of Christ of all my sins and iniquities before-today, today and forever. I Love Jesus Christ and despite of the fact that I'm human and I fail Him daily, I pick up my cross daily and follow Him. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He was crucified on the cross where He died for my sins and inequities and that He rose again on the 3rd day to give me a way through salvation and sanctification, known and unknown. He loves me dearly and has forgiven me of my sins and inequities. His Word says that if I deny Him before men, He will deny me before His Father. Following, I believe are the greatest verses in God's Word. "But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6:33 NKJV) “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 NKJV) I am a Christ-follower and live in the Kingdom of God on earth in Jesus Christ, my Lord, Savior and Leader. I have faith and trust in the grace and mercy of God for eternal life for my soul in Heaven when I pass from this life into paradise. I proclaim this openly to the world, that I am sinner, that I am sorry for my sins and iniquities and repent of my sins and iniquities and receive Jesus Christ by faith into my heart, mind and soul as my Lord, Savior and Leader. I openly confess Him as Lord from this moment on, I want to follow Him, I pledge to obey Him daily, and read His word. I will include those in my prayers who are lost and have chosen to deny God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ declared: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6 NKJV) I am in the “Lamb's Book of Life” and will not face “The Great White Throne of God” which leads to Hell. Jesus said: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-29 KJV) The grace and glory be to God. God bless

Wait…we are all born predisposed to go against God’s original purpose for our lives. We all have desires and inclinations that aren’t His will. I have inherited the desire to find pleasure in the company of men outside of my marriage. Does that mean that I must yield to that because that’s what I inherited? Is God not powerful enough to transform us? I believe that we must read our Bible and see what God says to us in these matters. God is not a God of compromise. Our life on this earth is short, it is our time of testing and growing in grace. We have an eternity to look forward to, when the scars of sin will be fully erased. In the beginning God made man and woman to marry. He does speak against living outside His plan. Yes, we are all sinners and fall far short of his glory, but His plan is a plan not to leave of where we are, but to restore in us His image. Look up Beckett Cook on RU-vid.

The church or the pastor can save you. It’s God rules , laws of the Bible. God set the status . No sinner or no naturally man will enter the Kingdom of Kingdom. Repent , except Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Be born again. Jesus Christ died to give a free card to sin. Give us power to live a Spirit filled life. Go and sin no more. God love us so much He sent His Son for the world. He can’t do nothing else.

Heaven on earth, but not heaven

God in Christ loves us all as we are and God in Christ loves LGBTQ people as they are and they are welcomed by Jesus and saved as they are!!!! God in Christ can change are attitudes towards our brothers and sisters, if we sin against them, but he cannot change our own feelings because we were born with those feelings. heterosexuals were born that way and LGBTQ people were born that way. besides, John 3:16 tells us that WHOEVER BELIEVES IN CHRIST WILL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE!!!! it is not written that LGBTQ people cannot be saved as they are!!!!

Hey bud i am not looking for compromise but indeed what u saying is biblical truth. The world pause at gay when the scripture says we are all guilty of sins and far away from God but are draw nigh by the blood of Jesus. If we say we are not gay so gay is abomination then we liying and lies is itself abomination because we all sin in one way or another.

God hates sin and satan loves wickedness, Jesus commanded us to love one another so we do not hate people but its the sin that we don't agree and we hate and again not the person because only God will judge us. Jesus died for us to take our sin that whole heartedly repented that means we walked away from wickedness. Jesus wants us to stop and not to continue to sin anymore. People will say its impossible not to fall short, well I had a lot of sin that you can't imagine so I can say that yes it is difficult when it comes to sin but it is possible to say no anymore and with the help of the Lord you will be able to overcome it. Whoever will tell you that its okay to sin after you accepted Jesus, its satan behind it and that his goal, to decieve, to lie and to kill. But if you really wanna believe that sin is just okay then you can gumble it, but if you are wrong then hell is unescapable so I pray that we don't gumble saying that sin is okay, why not just live like holy which is a win win situation for the bible says"live like holy for I am holy"and "if you don't live in holliness you will not see the kingdom of God" so no wonders why Jesus also say" road is wide that leads to distruction and norrow is the path to light and only few finds it. If the person trully loves you then the person should not agree with the sin, Jesus teaches us to walk away from sin because hell is real. Again, it is possible not to sin anymore because if not then I wouldn't share my experience anymore.

There are laws in the bible that we have to follow to be able to enter into the city/kingdom of Elohim/god. Yahuhsa/jesus is Elohim/god, what He says we have to do is final, and no other person can change that. Look at what Jesus said we have to do to be able to eat from the tree of life and to be able to enter in to His coming city/kingdom.
