Here are the rules of a Nuzlocke:
- Fainting = Death/Release/Perma-Box
- Can only catch one "A" Pokémon per Route (Species Clause)
- Must Nickname Pokémon
Additional Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules:
- No items in battle (held items only)
- No leveling past the next gym leader/E4's ace (at the START of the battle)
- Play on "Set" battle mode
