For me players were telling me Console was "harder" so thats where most of my thought proccess was. I don't really care if Console players are better than PC or vice versa because I know some switch players that would destroy me if they went to pc lol. But I am curious why they say its harder but then I look at evidence and it doesn't really seem so. But enjoy and let me know your thoughts! (also be nice to my aim, its been well over 5+ years since I've used a controller for aim xD) Also shout out to TokyoSaga who also made a video about this today lmao,
I’m not the type to say one is more difficult than the other but I do think on console, as the circle gets smaller, too many damn people. I’m not a pc player, I play console, but I’d imagine dealing with cheaters/hackers every other match is just insane.
I'd totally be one of those switch players who'd, after learning how to translates controller to mouse and keyboard. But I hate fighting aim assist on switch, shits annoying. But it's an information tool at this point.
I play on console and I wouldn’t say one is harder than the other. As far as why no one fights in the beginning, I can’t really give you an explanation. I just think no one wants to die early and if they do go down, then they want it to be with decent lvls or to where they feel like they have a fighting chance
I can't ever play these types of games on PC, then again I use a mouse pad to aim lol. And yes I do have a controller, Steam just has a hard time reading Pro Controllers for me (Yes I'm Switch.)
100% but it sucks I get put with new players and go up against 3 stacks all ace players. It's ridiculous and getting focused for no reason like bruh chill lmao . I just suck aiming with deku. But with strike deku I'm a god it's crazy.
As for teams not dying as fast. Rapids on console are really strong, even with our strong aim assist they are hard to hit, they just live longer. And even non rapids with good mobility like Toga, Aizawa, etc. are pretty safe in the air. Also most players play with low sensitivity to increase their aim, but we sacrifice turn speed, so tracking fleeing rapids is hard sometimes. This is why I strongly advocate for crossplay between console only, because PC players will just dunk on us to no end.
The meta between platforms and servers vary greatly. I love being in the JP Switch server, since the lobbies are always full, which makes for the craziest 8-Team End Circles.
its a bit hard to explain why people tend to not kill early game. I believe that it is just because console lobby's are far more safer and rather survive then kill early game which in turn makes end game brutal
Ima be honest when you reach ace THATS when the sweat begins if this your first game on console bronze or silver then you’re gonna run through them until you reach ace ESPECIALLY on switch! There’s even a Reddit about how sweaty switch is bc they don’t have many games this is one of the most played
Console players in the top lobbies love marinating in storm, carrying team heals etc. you can go deep into storm and see teams in there opening a box or just in there healing
I’m on console and I’m ace rank and I get focused 90% of the time😭 sometimes I just hit someone once and boom their whole team and other teams are all after me. I think once you get in the higher ranks you’ll see it’s very sweaty
As someone who uses a controller for both PC and Console, I can say that Stray's joke of "Console players can't aim" is mostly true, but the better players definitely have a work around to not being able to properly all the time.
Playing on Switch is awkward bcs having 30 fps in a game where any other console have at least 60 would make me think if it's really the case to implement the cross play, i mean the dosadvantage is pretty high. Sometimes it doesn't even load the freaking building you are literally staring at 2 cm of distance😅 Edit: And I won't say anything but high ranks final circles with almost 7 teams is really really sweaty (I'm Ace Rank)
In my opinion from playing on both pc and Xbox and PlayStation I can say without a doubt I get the most sweatiest lobbies on Xbox and everyone is always out to get me I can spawn in, in a ranked match and get jumped by 2 separate teams who’ll ignore each other all for me now I don’t if it’s because people see me a lot or if my luck is just bad but for pc and PlayStation I feel as if I’m not targeted as much and the game is more enjoyable, on Xbox people will chase you for the whole match even at level 1 like a bunch of weirdo’s.
Imma be real. Commentary like this should be saved when you get to highest rank lol. I don’t even play this game but I enjoy some of the videos. I’m iridescent in cod rank now ( highest rank). I play on pc. But obviously cod is cross play. You can’t be in the beginner ranks making judgement on the player base and again I don’t play this game. I couldn’t get use to strong AA and I’m controller. The few games me and my friends do play on here on console we get hunted and no one is standing still. We’re not even high rank. Maybe climb some ranks and give an overall opinion. Being bronze and generalizing is kinda crazy lol.
Most times consol players hide, mostly because they focus on looting more than fighting till the endgame. Of course, I'm saying this based on my Battle Royal experience.
As a switch player I feel like I get the types of lobbies that you do on PC (except ppl aren’t really playing projectile based characters;mainly just the new ones). That’s why it’s fun to watch both PC and PS gameplay
Personally as someone who has played a lot of both, for the NA servers at least I can't speak for the rest, console is the one I find to be vastly sweatier of the two so that's the one I stuck with. Also faster lobbies, rarely bots (at least in comparison to pc) and no hackers are obviously also huge bonuses on top of that. To answer some of your questions, I'm assuming by wavedashing you mean like sprint+jump+shooting to keep your movement high?? I've never heard that term used outside of fighting games. I think the main reason it's not used often on console because I agree I personally do use it but I rarely see others do so, and I think that's largely because shooter characters that can utilize it aren't even popular or high tier often on console, and the ones that are are people like red dabi who can't do it anyway. I feel like you're way more likely to see all the melee combo fighter characters and people utilizing crazy movement and super long combo chains when they master the game on console, and abusing team strategies, than you are to see people sticking with a shooter, because there's just aim assist, the skill floor is so high you can barely even differentiate yourself if you become the best shooter on console. Also since people basically can't miss I do agree with the consensus that the average console player is much scarier than pc, not because I think it's a legitimate skill diff, but because the aiming side is already mostly taken care of for you so if you have good game sense and movement you're already insane at the game. The average bronze deku has the aim of like high skill rarer pc player lol just because the game is doing it for you. Some other things I'll give my two cents on: I think people at high level are far sweatier on console, like in the levels they tryhard to not skill, once you get to ace you're basically fighting entire teams of top 50 players on one team spamming team heals and reviving and overhaul healing each other and farming 20 res cards so you can't stop them no matter how many times you heal them and farming up several level 9 green cards to storm heal at the end. I never see people sweating it that hard on PC, and honestly I find it rare to even find 3 super high ranked top players constantly on one team all day only playing together there. I feel like there's usually just like ONE clear sweat with 2 randoms on PC and you think to yourself "ah okay so in this lobby if I can take this ONE guy out I'll win." In fact, like you were saying everyone lives forever on console because it's genuinely frowned upon for most people I know to ever even considering fighting a person until you're level 9 in your main skill, have at least the second biggest backpack, and a near full inventory of heals. They'll say you're throwing or leave the team because of it, I know so many people that just will lose their minds if their random takes damage in the first 5 minutes of a match and just leave them to die and say things like "he doesn't even know how to get max levels before fighting he's not even worth saving". People play every match like it's a tournament and thousands of dollars are on the line and there's like no limits to how scummy they'll go with lame strategies and farming items and storm healing, it's the only part of console I find less fun than pc. Also I think since it's hard for anyone to miss shots on you people have become insane at having to time dodging everything and using the environment and positioning in ways it's actually impossible to get hit rather than on PC where you're just trying to use your movement to make it just difficult for them to hit so you land more shots than they land on you, and so they've all become little cockroaches that never die lol so that doesn't help the problem of too many people living to the end either.
I don't understand why it would be frowned upon to fight before being maxed. If anything I would assume having the ability to be deadly at any level is a good thing especially since we res at lvl 1. PC players still abuse team heals and green cards too and lobbies full of good players are really common once you hit expert or above. Console seems like they enjoy a slower game compared to PC although I guess that can't be helped with the innate differences between an environment with aim assist and one (mostly) without.
@@ojamison8460 I honestly do think it is kind of throwing to do so, but I get bored so I do it a lot anyway depending on if my character can get away with it lol but for example, characters that don't become useful at all until level 7-9 when their moves completely change like Lemillion, Compress, Ochaco, etc literally can't help you fight or they will just die with you until they've maxed what they need, and there are quite a few characters like this that are useless at low level, so if you fight early you have to understand you are choosing a 1v3 because if your teammate is one of those characters the smart choice is to let you die and just res you rather than be a "good teammate" and just also die. So you're forcing your team into a bad situation and asking them to choose a winning move or you for one thing Then the main reason, regardless of character, with how many people are alive in the final circle nowadays it very quickly becomes a situation where there is NO loot left for the remainder of the entire match, and whatever you have that's it, no more loot drops down besides the few big boxes after a match starts unlike most BRs so once the 4 or so big item boxes are done and you're in the final few circles you're never getting levels, or heals, or res cards again and it becomes a long drawn out war of attrition, so the team that has the most heals and res cards will almost always just outright win. Because of this a lot of people think the match is decided right at the start by who looted the best, and choosing to fight at the beginning to kill 1 guy who has nothing yet and all you get is his 2 rainbows over looting a dozen chests, maxing an entire skill or two with how many rainbows you get, finding team heals, a res card, a big backpack, tons of heals. You are kind of throwing just to be impatient, because even if you are good enough to win the starting fight with no levels... then what? you're still screwed now longterm now compared to what the smarter players got in that time and now there's nothing left for you.
Le me on Switch: Decent with non-aimers. Le me on Japanese server: TASUKETE!!! Le me on PC: I'm a genuine noob😂 Le me on PC for strategy games: Much better😁
Ok this series is gonna be hella fun… I wanna see the struggle to get better with the stick. Also, if you enjoy it then ignore this last part but for the love of god, turn off the bloom. My eyes are bleeding
7:22 thats im thinking everytime i get focused in Bad Situation even though there are other player and then i watch console playing content creators they walk by three ppl just to grab lvl up cards nothing happens
Really interesting video Stray As a Playstation player i can say that (i'm at expert 1) people third party a lot and there are really good players for sure but the most of the time i got idk 2 3 teams of ace ranks that jump you toghether and delete you in a second, i think that its the most annoying thing cause lot of good really good players play toghether in teams and stay toghether for delete people while when you play with randoma that dont happens😂 but of course ita not they cant do it ita just super annoying cause they are really good players and you die cause they play very well toghether.
You gotta get to higher ranks. I’ve been stuck on Expert One. Xbox players are massive sweats once you’re at a higher rank. 100% agree with everyone not focusing on the main threats. I get heated when no one does
As a console player, im excited to see your journey to Ace, also if you're confident in your flicks id almost say try some games without aim assist. Also also, console agency when?
Ace on console is where the "FUN." Is at. But whereas the skill disparity is so bad it's almost impossible to get good games. Also the reason why everyone ignores each other is probably due to same player pools in higher ranks, or just playing without audio like I do. As to wave-dashing I do it and I see everyone else that's higher rank do it. But I tone it down cause I don't want to destroy my controller, prices just keep going up for the good quality ones. Edit. I don't suggest aiming in I only use free aim as I find it way easier to line up shots and flick.
I feel like you have to think about the nature of the player on each platform, making a pc able to run these games requires a much more dedicated gamer than a kid whose parents just buys him a console, that dedication bleeds into game skill, aim, etc.. pc players are more dedicated to their games imo
Hearing you say people ignore each other is crazy bc I feel like I’m fighting for my life half the time and get chased across the entire map lmaooo Also I definitely wave dash but I think the majority of console players don’t. At least in my experience. Not sure why.
@@Wulong-202 it’s kind of like a slang term for a particular type of movement that makes your character look like they’re sliding on the ground. It’s mostly a thing in fighting games but can exist in other places like MHUR. It’s when you sprint jump and shoot a projectile at the same time so you can keep your momentum while firing. It’s good for keeping up pressure while also throwing off your opponent’s aim. Stray does it all the time in his vids.
9:20 Im the guy to point out the obvious but maybe it’s because you don’t have stray as a username and bc it’s a low rank lobby. If u don’t know I usually check and see who’s in my matches and if I see names I can recognize and know that player is a problem is it not smart to focus that person
as a concurrent console player i’ve never played a game with more D riders than this game. i’ve had full trios chase me for the entire game bc i entered their line of sight for 14 frames looking for res cards to bring back my meat shield teammates
also for some reason the momo players on console are built different. they’re out here hitting me with tekken combos, meanwhile my teammates are chasing someone across the map and dying
The reason i tend not to fight off spawn is it doesn't help with two of the character's i used to main. Old mains being tech dabi and red shiggy. I can fight sure but are significantly less useful then with even one max skill. (Tech dabi i recommend gamma first, red shiggy depends upon the map personally. Usj alpha, city beta.)
i play on console in the higher ranks and i get chass really often i think its because you are playing in the lower ranks and the people there are new players
Worst thing on Xbox is when you play with normal (shitty) randoms and matchmaking just decides to put you in a lobby full of crazy h24 players who always play together and have some K/D ratio around 16 :(
The chasing point is killing me i’m high ranked player and believe me when i say they are chasing so hard in the high ranks and froppy players are so annoying here (i’m froppy main btw)
I don’t really get the whole English vs Japanese voices but I literally only grew up watching/ playing everything in English so when people tell me why you play or watch something the English dub I look at them with a face like are you deadass? Why wouldn’t I wanna hear the language I literally speak? Plus most I had access to cable so that’s how I watch all my anime. The only thing that’s I’ve enjoyed that was English was the IP Man series that I just randomly stumbled onto and most of it was just English voice overs
From my experience whenever you move your character or crosshair is when aim assist will go off. I'm assuming wave dashing is dash jumping and shooting as someone said in the comment section. I've seen people use it before but I don't think a lot of people use it that much since people don't always play characters that can utilize it and get value out of it. I one trick Ochako and play other characters sometimes so I'm not one to really give a great opinion on the value you get out of it. Since I just float people, throw trucks, then miss an alpha and get killed. Since your on PS5 we'll never meet in a game but I hope you enjoy playing on Console and I'm looking forward to watching.
Imo majority of players on pc will always beat console in any game but I think a lot of your arguments against console players are because ur in low rank rn and idk what content creators u watching but in my games they definetly got the movement and awareness :3
Oh im not saying the content creators are lacking the movement and awareness. Im saying the people they play with. A lot of the content creators are good. but sometimes I see the enemies they're against and I'm like "really?"
bro trust me when i say, going from challenger to ace is a completely different experience. Everyone in your lobby rn sucks lmaooo. the only thing i find true is from time to time there is still 8 teams left with a small circle. But the main difference is everyone has a rapid/hi mobility caracter to run/heal up or the team ALWAYS ave a team heal/insta rez character. you mainly see the sweats at night and noobs during the day
Yeah ppl are toxic Asf on Xbox man. Unless your ace and expert you get kicked out of the lobbies, and if you give someone a good fight in game you get tbagged🤦🏾♂️
i’m a pretty causal console player (i’m whatever the purple rank is) and i’m a mirio main and tbh it’s just feels like for me all the characters who are ability based (red dabi, mirio, shigi) are top tier rather than ones u have projectiles with (bakugo, deku, compress etc.). maybe that’s just my opinion because i’m better with characters who focus more on up close abilities but yea
You’ve gotta try Iida, I made a new account for rolls and he is insane with the aim assist, can straight up boomerang around walls and stuff to hit people with the tracking
Your literally asking questions you already kno the answer to. Your playing in a beginners lobby. “ why is nobody chasing me, I can run right thru the middle.”
@@StrayStreamcharismatic just uploaded today and he was on 5 or less HP at least 3 times in one game, basically fighting for his life the whole match😂😂😂think it just depends on the day,I’m expert and get days where a lot of people are fighting and dying early then I get days where half the lobby is hiding till end circle with 5 team heals per person(sometimes a mix of both),btw who do you watch?
I’m originally a Ps5 player just now switching over to pc. I feel as if the skill gap is much larger, i’ve had a much harder time reaching ace on pc than on console. I enjoy the competition though and have been getting better. But I will say, on pc the person i’m fighting is either extremely good or absolutely horrendous. No in betweeen
Thinking console players are better when they have such a strong aim assist is crazyyy, most of the time, the game is literally doing half the work for them.
its not too hard but maybe at the start. It basically just jumping while sprinting, but right when you jump fire a shot and then right before you land fire another one. Then repeat, Only certain characters can do it. I could explain better on stream but hopfully this helped.
i dont know about pc. Im not saying console is better than pc or vice versa. You'll experience sweaty lobbies once u reach higher rank. i also feel like theres a difference between ps and xbox.
