@@SadDragonNoises No, Steam straight up allows you to refund a game simply for "not liking it". Hypothetically, if you did buy a game and beat it within 2 hours, you could be unsatisfied enough with your purchase you'd like a refund.
Makes sense, there's only like, one horse in the entire game and you end up killing it. There was no way Horselover1862 was going to keep this horrible game.
I certainly this comment doesn’t have more attention. first thing i noticed when he pulled up that “new” email was the onlyfans, pornhub, and xvideos emails
THOSE EMAILS ARE PRIVATE YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO READ THEM also for anyone that wants to see the whole run, it's uploaded on my brand new VOD channel! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qpZDzuIc9Js.html
@@dondemonico The language is spoken faster than English so it wastes less time. Other games like Alien Isolation are ran with Italian spoken language by speedrunners for the same reason
I was so confused at first Still wondering how exactly and where one does that I mean I knew he got to senpou but was like damn he’s swimminin in the air, this is crazy
Never seen sekiro played, or even knew what it was about. This was a VERY entertaining way to see EVERYTHING in the game without seeing EVERYTHING in the game. Didn't know it was a Samurai Souls game. Thumbs up, much えntertainment., will be buying to refund.
glad you liked the video man! pretty sure you're kidding, but just in case, if you do end up buying sekiro and enjoy it, please don't refund it! this is obviously not my first time buying it, hence me refunding as a silly gag. i would normally never refund a game i enjoyed enough to play all the way through
bro, if you never played this game 2h won't be enough for you to beat it no matter how good a gamer you think you are. Sekiro is hard as fuck and as Chris said, with 2 hours you'll probably be stuck at Ogre or somewhere around Hirata Estate. I have two friend who also own this game on steam, they bought on release, they both have around 6h and they both haven't beaten Gyoubu yet. So good luck.
@Popstar Ahri once you learn it, is not that hard, agreed. but on your first playthrough? venturing forth completely blind on what's to come? it's hard as fuck, get out of here.
The hardest part about this game is not having a heart attack with the koi fish and the headless underwater. In my first playthrough the second I saw the koi fish jump out of the water I said nope and put my controller down. It took me an hour to go in the water since I got bad thalassaphobia. The crazy part is I've played subnautica.
The length of a game actually has a big impact on refunds, because when your game really is that short, people legit beat them and then return it at a higher rate.
@@Aleschu I know from my own game's analytics, and from a publisher I've talked to about it. I don't have any sources beyond that, though. To give some numbers, 17% of purchases were refunded in the past month. That's on a $5 game with good reviews etc. It's been out for years, and that refund rate has remained pretty constant. It's not that big of a problem, though, given how absurd profits are on Steam. Better to be pro consumer in this case.
@@Kyrieru Also from our point of view 2 hours kinda isn't enough. Look at cyberpunk or BF2042, really, REALLY broken games, that are so bad that steam actually made special exceptions and let you refund them after 2 hours. And when you go to buy most other things(beyond like food) you have 30 days. So in the scale of things, I'd say 2 hours is kinda rough as a consumer. Especially if you're legitimately giving a game a try, only to get like 2 hours into a game and find game breaking bugs so bad it kills your enjoyment, and find out you're now stuck with it. :x
@@NeiasaurusCreations Pretty sure you can get refunds due to technical problems any time after 2 hours. 2 hours is just the "no questions asked" timeframe, as far as I know. As for my game, it's $5, so 2 hour length isn't that unusual.
@@Kyrieru Yeah I wasn't saying you in general. I was just pointing out that in terms of actual refunds steam is kinda in a gray area as it is. Like I pointed out for most things outside games or food its like 30 days. I didn't mean to come off as if I was attacking you, just presenting you with a view point of a gamer. We've all been stiffed by games. Especially ones that lie to you....*Cough cyberpunk*.
I'll try to finish all Elden Ring in less than 2 hours to get a refund and buy other From Software games and finish them in less than 2 hours too so i can play the whole saga cause i spent my whole life savings on a gaming pc
seeing this man speed through bosses and minibosses alike that I spent way more time on than I am happy to admit in literal seconds really makes me realize how bad I actually am at Sekiro
tbh i just finished it, it took me 30 hours. It seems he's not fighting most of them "legit" as he knows ways to interrupt them massively, amplify his damage, mortal draw(had no clue mortal draw was that broken)
@@brucepreston3927 if you jump before you use it it gives you the power of the stronger mortal draw without the drawbacks and sooner and he's using Yashriku sugars before most of the fights
@@brucepreston3927 i know i am extremely late and you probably already know this but the reason his mortal draw was that powerful was because he used Yashu's sugar(a lot more damage for 50% less hp) and he used jump mortal blade which does the same amount of damage as a fully charged empowered mortal blade.
Sounds like a fun idea but not a good one probably. For many people to just cruise through a 15-20-30h game within 2h would take months of practise for a single game. Gotta know speedrunning routes and master whatever combat the game has. Know opponent's every single move, counters and positioning.
@@TheFifthJack9709 Yup with the caveat that speedrunners would need to be constantly switching between different games that they know they can beat in less than 2h. And turn that into a weekly series. I wouldn't say it's impossible but it probably would be stressful af for the person doing it.
Im glad you bought the game and already supported it on your main account. Like there was that one indie dev who had a cheaper game that was intended to complete in about 2 hours and so many people returned the game it ruined the dev and they said they were going to take an indefinite break from game development.
@@Nightmare-xr3en "A horror indie developer has stepped away from games development "indefinitely" because Steam's two-hour refund policy has led to a high number of returns on their latest game. Solo developer Emika Games released the psychological thriller Summer of '58 at the end of July"
A little trick to save time on the "making the game fullscreen" part is pressing Alt+Enter. It makes it fullscreen. Sometimes it doesn't work because the window is not focused, so you should click it and press Alt+Enter, lol
I've always found the spectrum of gamers to be interesting and funny. I remember that movement of QQ over this game being to hard and "casuals" wanting an easy mode. I consider myself a decently skilled gamer and thought this game was hard, but I did finish it. And then theirs speed run guys like you that are just on a whole other level. Very Impressive game play.
It's a very hard game that forces you to play by it's rules. In Dark Souls you have probably a dozen different viable builds and can play ranged characters, magic characters or defensive shield characters. Sekiro you learn to parry or you die. I made it to the final boss and wasn't able to beat him, you have to have great hand eye coordination which is something I lack.
"I'm doing alright for my first time. Maybe not amazing" immediately jumps to you preforming an environment clip that only a speedrunner would really know how to do
Holy shit, Aggy I was a huge fan on your twitch back when you would Speedrun Odyssey and to see you come full circle and end up on my recommend with a 1.8 m vid is just crazy to me. Im glad to to your on the ball and grinding out the RU-vid and I'll be happy to see your next vids ☺️
@@yahia5476 From what I know, the save files are tied to each Steam account. So you can't play that save on a different Steam account unless you find a way to change the Steam ID linked to the save file
Look at all the adult sites account. This challenge was probably done due to necessity than anything else. My man don't have much time for game anyways XD
Good to know about this, thanks! I'm not planning to abuse this, but it will make me feel more encouraged to get a game to see if it runs on my laptop.
Imagine they have someone look at the refund and see that this guy has some of the harder achievements to get in under 2 hours saying the game isn't fun, would be kinda fishy
Only found your channel yesterday, and damn I am impressed. The level of skill for a game like this is amazing and I love watching your content. I am now inspired to get Sekiro and download DS3 : )
Man’s and absolute legend. Not only did he beat the game in under 2 hours which probably took devs thousands of dollars and time (not to mention all that tedious extra extra stuff) but he chopped it all down within a 36 minute time frame
I upvoted just for the title. This is such a good idea, and pretty freaking hilarious. You already have to have a lot of practice to even do this, so anyone trying either owns it or has played enough to run it.
@@Dietrich_Kaufmann locking head on will make the ai assume you’re attacking and will block even if you’re spaced a few inches away. When you swing your sword, it swings with a wide sweeping motion and so not locking on and attacking while facing away from the enemy won’t trigger them blocking. You can see it on owl and genichiro cheese on the castle
I completely forgot about this game’s name, and I’ve never seen gameplay before. And oh wow… this is equally beautiful and mesmerising. I can see why it’s deemed so illustrious; the combat is sharp, the visuals are amazing, and the atmosphere is… unparalleled. I’m interested. Very much so. Edit: And watching this video just fills me with joy, for some reason.
It’s well worth the play. It’s such a different feel from dark souls or bloodborne. The stealth mechanics are incredibly satisfying, and the combat feels as sharp as it looks.
Fun fact: Phillip is a derivation of Phillipos which is the anglicised form of the greek word for 'lover of horses'. So if you wish to be named horse lover on the sly then change your name to Phillip
played all the previous souls game, but could never get the tempo on sekiro and got lost a bit in the missions, will use the full stream as a guidance, i guess it’s an unintended use for you, but for me that’s a perfect way to receive thorough directions on where to go;)
The long page of terms of service. Scariest thing I've ever seen from a modern game. What a madlad, he beat Sekiro and then refunded it because *"It's not fun"* xD I wonder if the steam support is so confused when they see the achievements under 2 hours 😂
