The line " Come on Martin it's your time to shine" was so hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I laughed so much 😆😆😆 Anna is so funny in her videos. You are the best girl! ❤️
I went and did this too, the first time he went g6 so my pawn got stuck and the second time he captured it with his knight but on the third try he let me get a queen and then it was easy lol
Oh man, she's busting on my friend Martin! He and I play all the time. But then maybe he enjoys playing me as much as I do him as I'm the one person he can beat on occasion? ;-) Another Anna Cramling making chess fun video! Subscribed.
I'm 400 rated and Martin would kill me here. I'm 8-0 but with 4 mistake draws. I won't feel satisfied until I've beaten him as many times as Magnus has beaten Hikaru
Literally my very first time playing chess was in the last Christmas and felt in love with it. I was 250 rating for a month or somin and I can say that I would NEVER lose this match even being 250 rating XD
The entire game rested on Martin blundering when you put your pawn H6. I guess this trick would only work on an absolute beginner who has never played chess before... or Martin ofc.
I wonder if it was her first attempt it probably was and it’s really impressive, but if it wasn’t, so she isn’t just a good chess player, but also a very good actress, because her reactions were so real.
My dads name is martin. He teached me chess when i was little, but nowdays we don't play that often. I think i somehow feel sympathy for chess-martin because of this! He's not a chess player. He's just a good dad teaching dad-stuff to his kids!
I just played with regular pieces and when I pushed the same pawn he just pushed his. So I had to play a regular game. The evaluation called it the Kadas opening I ended up using to beat Martin. It took me 10 moves.
I haven't had such luck. He must have had an update since you raised this flaw. I've played him several times and now he either takes the pawn early on, or he actually defends his pieces. He will now take if you blunder your queen.
I didn't realize there were weaker chess bots. It makes total sense now that I think about it and makes me more interested in playing chess since I can embarrass myself against bots until I'm comfortable.
I am learning the basics of chess right now and Martin is my main opponent. I love the boost of confidence I get from beating him even though I obviously suck at chess!
A random move generator would probably beat a single pawn on accident. Martin is so bad that making completely random moves would beat him. He’s a good match for ChatGPT.
Forgot to change the Bot. Got my pawn to h5 and was checkmated by move 7. I was impressed .. Martin must have had an upgrade ..Then I checked. I was playing Maximum 25 (rated 3200)
2:20 she could’ve moved her queen to the top of the board to check the king, and it would be forced to move out of the way, giving her a free opportunity to take Martin’s Queen.
Finally beat Martin with this opening! Took a lot of attempts to get him to blunder just right. Did you really make this video on the first try?? So fun!
@@tom123b No, she probably missed it. Because 1. I missed it too. and 2. she said she "hopes Martin blunders", if she said she "will see if Martin blunders", then it might be a different story
I remember playing a chess simulator on a Spectrum ZX81 with 1KiB memory around 1980 and it was a lot better than this. Martin has the logic capacity of a flat earther.
Anna's looks intimidatingly beautiful on the title screen but then she's a friendly sister when you see her in the vid. And always a great entertaining and informative lesson. Hope I can improve! (I'm Martin)
