I’m actually certain that a lot of these “weird move choices” are just designed because you’re over leveled, the AI programming probably looks at your level and raises the probability to use defensive moves like calm mind growl etc as it THINKS you are a bigger threat than a 300 stat total pikachu really is

The Fisherman Challenge Game: Any gen that has the most fishing rods Team: Nuzlocke style you can only catch the first pokemon you fish with each rod If you want to make it harder you can't evolve any of the mons you catch

Challenge: Sableye with the ability stall in gen 3 (always attacking last, is quite hard) or Paras in Gen 1 (Bug/Grass in gen 1 is the weakest type combination ever)

I have a different type of challenge for you: What are the fewest number of battles you can beat [game] in? So rather than restricting to a pokemon or a team, you are open to whatever team you want, but you're very very limited on how much you can level it. You can't go around grinding your team on wild pokemon since they count as additional battles.

Suggestion: A lot of people want you to do gen 6, 7 and 8 challenges. Since you can't use the universal Pokemon randomiser on them, and I'm pretty sure you said you haven't played them before, I have a challenge idea. Can you beat Pokemon _____ using only the move tackle? (And struggle for ghosts)

I guess I'll try submitting my suggestion again! While one-pokemon runs are great they all tend to devolve into "grind to a high level to win," so I wanted to suggest something else. I call it poke-roulette: you can catch and use anything you want, but you MUST throw at least one pokeball at every wild pokemon you encounter. You are also only allowed to use the last 6 pokemon you've acquired (i.e. caught, hatched, or were gifted) in battle. So once you've caught your sixth pokemon, you're starter is an HM slave or in the box! Some caveats: 1) You must use the most powerful pokeballs available to you at all times; 2) You cannot buy repels. You CAN, however, use repels you find in the overworld; they're like the very useful but sharply limited Ethers and Elixers of the run! Other than that, standard no-items-in-battle stuff. Since you need a game, how about HeartGold? It's my favorite :) . Oh, and before I forget, what fossil did you take? I hear there's a secret fossil that gets revived into a legendary Ruttata trainer from the Johto region. Not sure I believe it, though...

Can you beat pokemon diamond or pearl (no platinum) using only type disavantages (or neutral at the very least) and no super effective moves (Attempt 6)

I think the main story will be fine but I don’t think he’ll be able to do the post game fight with Steven. Mainly due to claydol because A:it has high defenses making it hard to one shot, B: it has stab earthquake making it easy to one shot him and C: unless he gets lucky with hidden power pikachu has no super effective moves against claydol in this generation. With that being said maybe he’ll pull out something I didn’t see and pull out a victory. And now for your regularly scheduled challenge suggestions, here’s some for the mainlines: Pokemon Emerald using only Macargo (think the abomasnow challenge but in a region more designed to kick your ass and exploit your weaknesses and bad stats) Pokemon Black and White 2 Challenge mode using only first form bug Pokemon (just a sequel to one of your earlier challenges with a bit of extra difficulty) And here’s some for the spinoffs: Pokemon mystery dungeon without using any moves (just use the A attack and items, it’s probably easier to do this in the earlier games as the later games have a fixed damage value for the A attack from what I’ve heard) Pokemon Mystery Dungeon without using ANY items (no apples, no seeds, no orbs, no tms, no anything) Catching all Pokemon in 1 loop in Pokemon Ranger 2 or 3 (basically treat the later games like the first one, if your drop your capture line or get hit, you have to start from the beginning, would honestly love to see you try to tackle some of the later bosses like drapion, darkrai and regigigas)

Pikachu might have low base stats, but it also has special ability Plot Armor and can get around type disadvantages by activating the sprinkler system at the gyms.

Got an idea that might be a bit longer. Using a stall team which doesn't attack directly. The damage being done online with stealth rocks spikes and poisen spikes as well as using stuff like wile o whisp. But self buffing or healing moves are allowed.

Idea: Do each gen, with only Ash's teams and move sets. Only evolve them after the gyms where they could evolve.

You could've used Brick Break instead of hidden power for fightning type coverage, your pickachu also had more attack than special attack.

Gen 2 or 3 Crobat run, but you have to level from Zubat so you can't easily brute force through the beginning

My challenge idea is a no shopping (no spending money at all unless for plot items) you have only the free Pokéballs for catching Pokémon even for HM slaves. I’d also add do the challenge in a game without the pickup ability for easy free items for a better challenge.

Is there a reason he never utilizes tail whip to drop the defense of rock type Pokemon in these runs? I know tail whip isn't generally that useful, but it does help in getting past early rock gyms if you dodge enough incoming attacks with double team.

it obviously won't apply for single pokemon challenges, but I've noticed (and correct me if I'm wrong) you seem to use switch-style battles for ones where you have multiple pokemon. Have you considered upping the challenge for those even more by changing your battle style to Set?

You should do a full nuzlocke randomized play through of Pokémon’s black & white 1/2 Would love to see that!!!

With Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald, have you considered the Zigzagoon Pickup team method, might make your early grinding easier. in Ruby and Sapphire, Pickup is much better and you can easily pickup Proteins and Rare Candy with a team of 5 Zigzagoons. Emerald has different mechanics and isn't as good, but you should be able to get a Hidden Power TM so you're move pool is a bit better. I love your vids. Have you tried gen 1,2 or 3 Eeveelution solo runs. Flareon would be a tricky one.

What if you did a speed run? Same rules as normal no glitches or items inside battle but you literally have to do it as quickly as possible? I think that would be fun to watch and might be good for the whole moving thing.

What about a Fossil challenge? Like, start with one regional fossil Pokemon, get the other and potentially Old Amber, use them?

I'd like to see a run that's you using a super powerful Pokemon at the minimum level possible. Aka you use Rayquaza but only do battles that are absolutely essential and see how low of a level you can be and win.
