I am really excited about the new radical red 4.0 update and I had a lot of fun doing hardcore mode! Suprisingly, maybe because I used a few broken legendaries myself, it didn't feel like the worse thing. Im excited to see how you all think about this run! Don't forget to leave a like! :D
Well if you don't do permadeath and give some bosses several tries while sometimes just relying on stuff like first turn para or burn ect with enough resets to get the RNG just right - it "surprisingly" doesn't feel too tough xD Literally anyone with some Pkmn knowledge can beat it this way, it's not that big of an achievemnt tbh...Fun viodeo regardless^^
Honestly, I prefer your radical red content more than other games, just cause I know it is way harder. Maybe a Hard Core Nuzlocke next? on normal mode ofc lmao
Why do normal mode when Hardcore hardcore nuzlocke is possible just needs alot of luck,but since gen 9 is here you can speed blitz gym 1 - 3 which is the most problematic
@@TheKillbossman1000 Yea I know that, but i meant there are in-game difficulties, easy, normal, restricted and Hard. That's what i was referring to lol.
i might be wrong but I'm pretty sure minimalist mode actually makes it even harder for anyone who uses it. while trainers miss them(EV's) so do we and a lot of the most important fights felt like their mons were boosted and extra tanky. I noticed this because one of the fights had a same Pokémon as a regular trainer near by and the important fight wasn't one shot to my slaking but the regular fight was. the extra ev's can be the difference between a one shot or not which is super important because like every mon in this rom hack has counter moves for their antitype pretty much. which made me notice normal type is insane / broken for rad red.
Playing hardcore mode made me experiment with team building a lot which I love because every mon I like get a chance to be used. Definitely a no joke difficulty, my head hurts thinking of strats every gym (even fighting the most random npc)
4.0 HC is so much easier than 3.1 HC. Things like Koga having Chi-Yu instead of Kyurem-White, access to Kingambit, Skeledirge, the roamers, .... Still SUPER FUN tho :)
Ye I can say IT IS WAY EASIER which is sad. But atleast they giving the new players to work with I might still practice on all of the 3.0+ version because the teams is just so well arranged
@@PersonaPrimeNah the last update (version 3.1) is way harder because all of them has a full team of legendary and a very good strat most of them are also double battle
idk if this has been mentioned in the comments but you can talk to the guy in glasses at the pokemon league and he will tell you whether lorelie is a rain or snow team by saying he saw lorelei with I believe ninetales or politoed respectively just so yk. great content btw
I'm using mGBA just to emulate FireRed and LeafGreen. So far, I am really struggling to problem solve some game breaking glitches that are preventing me from even getting my starter. When I go to leave Pallet Town, sometimes the dialogue with Professor Oak will just keep looping infinitely. I had a bug once where in his lab, I just kept walking forward through the wall with looping dialogue. Any ideas on how to fix this? I want to get into ROMs and stuff, but even getting the basic game to work is proving to be too much of a hassle.
sounds more like a rom hack issue. i use mgba and never have problems. usually i join the discord server and use the links they give fore the rom if you don't wanna stay in the server just leave afterwards.
@@amenplayz6205 Yes its really really hard. Like you have to battle a single boss 100s of times to finally be able to win. Obviously in hardcore they are really overpowered. It all depends on luck. Only if they miss the hit or just don't keep on swapping their pokemo, you can win through some tactics

how did you get Gimmighoul/Gholhengo pre safari zone? i cant seem to find anything in the docs about finding it before then, and you had it in the Giovanni fight
