@@emilegagnon8074that's bc it doesn't matter how good you are, on the highest difficulty CPUs of fighting games usually you're playing a whole different game
@@revieretempur Exactly, also unlike other game with bs CPU like Mortal Kombat or Virtua Fighter, there are no consistent way to beat Super Turbo. You could be the best player in the world, if the game decide that you're losing this time, you are going to lose no matter what.
@@JasonDgen-cu1cpthat’s what I was gonna say. They love the one liners in rehab aa na etc. I guess they not really one liners but you know what I mean. Ego edging god out. Stinkin thinkin s h i t. Simply how I think. Etc etc etc etc. smh. 🤦♂️
The fact Akuma became so iconic despite being locked behind some of the most absurd requirements in his debut is crazy. Like how did ANYONE get to him man
In my opinion, easy mode is not so hard for people who costantly play old fighting games. Yeah! The CPU is still an asshole, but there's nothing compared to when you play the game with the 8 difficulty and the 4 speed. Bro. Using these options is like living in hell in a state of torture.
The reason that it seems harder is because the original release of the American version gave the ai the ability to break game sequence, they can land faster, throw out of stuns or off ground as wakeups go through blocks and glitch hit boxes, even though vega’s wall jumps can let you cheese the ai deejay is still a universal constant, I’ve beaten every other character, but deejay is just biblically accurate, he has a movement kick that can infinite you to 0, good throws, his shoryuken is boosted, he can throw out of slide, and the ai can spam projectiles without doing the movement.
In case you don't know this, difficulty is ALWAYS max(the hardest) on American version, it's a bug. "Easiest" level on American version takes 5 heavy punch to knock you out, and meanwhile you can remain intact from a throw if you tech it with easiest level on Japanese version.
The fucked up thing about SSF2 is that (at least in the US version) the CPU difficulty setting is actually bugged. The game is always set to the hardest difficulty no matter what option you have it as. So even if you had it set to level 1 difficulty, it would have made 0 difference.
I'm so shit at fighting games that is just how I feel playing arcade mode at the highest boards. But jesus, DeeJay straight no mercy, he would kill his mom without flinching with a combined 6-part combo before she put her hands up, what a monster.
It's not just the input reading, no charging and high damage that was causing you to lose so much. the main stupid reasons the AI is so hard is because capcom programmed it to use normals to I-frame through your attacks when you do certain moves along with frame skipping to counter you if you attack at certain moments. It's really bad in SSF2T U.S. version since the AI is really jacked up on that version while the japanese version is much easier to deal with.
Pick Chun Li, double jump to get rid of AI when stucking at wall. Stay distance and keep backward to charging and input fireball (also purpose to block AI attack.) And use her jumping middle kick often , the rate of hit is worth it.I'm shit on fighting game but still able to completed the arcade mode, trust me, try her 😎
Cheese is the way to beat the CPU. There is always a repetitive move with a certain character against a certain attack that usually works. Although this game is historically one of the worst for literal CPU cheating.
Input reading, Inhuman mashing, random invisibility frames, bigger grab range, combo interrupts hell you think it's bad in 2 turbo? AI Guile could just flash kick for free. at least now he crouches to at least pretend to charge
I kinda like DeeJay's character design since his debut, but I kinda wished they updated it with the others when it came to sequels. Dude didn't see an update til sfiv Edit, which I don't do often: What I meant was his sprite work, since they've re-used his SF2 sprite even when he was in some of the later iterations of certain entries all the way up to SF4. I will admit I saw his 6 design and it looks badass, matches the theme and setting 6 is going for.
Using Honda, when he jumps at you use the overhand chop to bring him down. Another good anti jump maneuver, but one that requires precise timing, is to do the headbutt with the weak punch button. When the opponent gets too close to you, youve got to either throw him or bearhug him. It does a lot of damage and it's got a huge range.
This build of SF2 has insane difficulty against the AI. Between the autofire of the AI and its completely cheated priorities (like Ken stops Guile's Flash Kick with his L punch 😂), and Input reading. The game is only accessible to two players. It's just set to make you lose all your money in front of the arcade machine, this game is the example of what not to do as ia 😱
The Japanese version of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo is easier than the western edition which has a bug that makes the cpu extra harder.😤 The Japanese edition wasn't included in the Street Fighter 30th anniversary collection western edition but in Japan they did get the Japanese edition. Lucky! 😭 Great collection for ps4 ❤️
It's this difficult on the easiest setting. Whether it's level 8 or 1 you're not even allowed to connect with light strikes 9/10 totally unplayable and a waste of money.
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Hyper Street Fighter 2... outside of the JPN releases, those 2 versions of Street Fighter 2 are the worst when it comes to fight the AI, you either find the VERY FEW flaws the AI has and exploit them the best way as you can, or get destroyed too fast and easily want to rage quit or something (this reason on an old arcade I was used to go had to remove the game because the players literally destroyed the cabinets because of the frustration to fight the AI, to the point that they said if you want to play single player, you HAD to ask to the operator to get it ready, because on that notice they WARNED players that the game is too frustrating to play vs the CPU, the very few cabinets they kept was ONLY for vs matches without the permission of the operator)... to think I was used to play the game with 1 credit runs due to the arcade operator settings to DISABLE the ability to continue the game (not that if that mattered to me anyway... and yeah, the arcade operator settings has that "Continues not Allowed" option, which is good for tournaments during the time the players had to get ready while the AI kicks the player character fast to make a fresh start or something).
I always used Ken and Ryu. Knock him down, don't stand so close to him that he gets up and throws you, but if you stand reasonably close, he'll attack on wake up, and you can light dragon punch him and knock him down again. Use Hadokens to chip and keep your spacing. Same with fei-long and Vega. Everyone else is pretty easy to beat by spamming Hadokens and dragon punching when they jump in.
Just played this game and this game is ridiculously hard the amount of dmg CPUs can get off one hit is insane this was only my 2nd sf game ever with my first being sf6 right before but im glad to know that this one is way more difficult then the others games I was afraid that all the early street fighter were this ridiculous I ended up using the guy with the wolverine claws and the mask who jumps on the walls all crazy as his slide kick was hitting
Lol. In the pandemic I got myself an arcade and finally put all the SF games. I read to learn there is 5 and I set myself to beat them all. This last one crushed my dream. I did give up.
when i was a kid i could beat super street fighter 2 on the snes on max diff and max turbo. i tried playing the anniversary editions for nostalgia, but they just didnt feel the same.
Lolz! I just counterplay with Vega and use crouching slide kicks, opponent trips, walk back a few distance, and use crouch slide kick again as he gets up and trips again, and redo the whole thing. Works on DeeJay and Dhalishm
Not a single comment that the US version (.rom) of this game was bugged so that you were always on the hardest difficulty. There was a rumor this was done to keep people putting quarters into the arcade machine to continue playing. The Japan version was better and actually let you select the difficulty and it worked although CPU gets psyco 5 rounds in regardless or 1 star (easiest) difficulty or not.
LOL even difficulity LVL1 is hard. Pray you don't get Deejay later. The first 4 matches they are throwing you a bone and after that you're dead meat ! Guile seem to be the safest bet using his turtle style and plus his legs have long reach.
THIS REMINDS ME OF FIRST TIME PLAYING SF2T ON THE SNES ON HARDEST DIFFICULTY, ME & MY BRO SPEND THE WHOLE EVENING JUST TRYING TO BEAT EHONDA WITH KEN, AFTER MANY MANY HOURS WE FINALLY BEAT HIM & BLANKA CAME UP NEXT, I HAD 1 ROUND AGAINST HIM & SAID "FORGET IT" & WENT STRAIGHT TO BED. AS I WAS LEAVING MY BRO SAID HE WAS GONNA STAY UP & BEAT BLANKA. NEXT DAY, WEN MY BRO GOT UP LATE IN THE AFTERNOON I ASKED "DID U GET HIM?", HE REPLIED WITH A VERY CONFIDENT SMIRK ON HIS FACE "NO". =)
Pick Zangief, you MUST hit the opponent with a sweep then before the get-up animation, jump then press down+fierce punch to do a body press then the AI will always crouch sweep on the get-up then do the sweep when the body press landed. Next, profit.
As a funny disclaimer: The difficulty setting doesn't do anything on this game, it has the same code as the bugged japanese arcade edition, EVERY DIFFICULTY is the hardest There are a few ways you can "deal" with this game, from "chaining" throws/grabs to playing ULTRA lame, I've beaten it before, and although it was a bit frustrating at first, it became more of a small puzzle on "how" to approach each fight, takes a VERY different skillset from being good at SF to more of a "being good at adapting and making up strats" as if you were playing a Kaizo game
Super Turbo doesn't actually have a difficulty setting, it's all the same difficulty no matter what level you put it at lol. I believe it was that way on arcade cabinets too.
I couldn’t stand how older fighting games made their AI hard by just making them input read everything you do such a lazy suck ass way to make the AI difficult
