I miss playing chess. I should have stayed stuck with it after high school. The best players I've gone against with was 2200 rating. He's the #1 high school player in my area. I lost, but it was such a close game. I no longer have a rating, but I wonder where I would be if I stuck to chess. It's good to see 2 strong players against each other. Brings back memories.
that black bishop was a MONSTER . i love the rear rank manuevering in the Sicilian. theres a Garry Kasparov book where alot of the games show those kinds of moves in the kings indian and sicilian where that style of play is featured with lots of piece development and positional manuvering that seems quiet where black emerges with crazy tactical possibilities and constriction . great play , fun game :).
I'm not fully developed yet, and it's a little embarrassing . . . Jokes aside, it's seriously a BOSS move to go from an opening you don't like to a position you like. That is why they were born to play chess while I was born to watch and be confused by the moves while in awe of their vastly superior intelligence.
You're very good at distracting players with your banter. It's a great way to get your opponent to lose on time and or pressure your opponent to make bad decisions in a time crunch towards the end-game.
At 2:51, why not bishop to h6? Pawn is pinned and risk of checkmate, could win rook. Have to defend with queen I guess. Then at 5:01, bishop takes knight at f7, risking queen takes at h7 on next move, and force win when king mobes and queen goes to h8? What did I miss?
@timnic9242 ha, nah, I think it's just her focus on chatting for better RU-vid content, rather than focus on actual game. also, she's trying to play fast to flag her opponent, as her mating endgame is generally weak.
For a WGM & 2 times Asian champions they were playing pretty bad: 3:00 Nd5 it is a slight mistake: Bh6,threating mate Qg7#,if Black push pawn ,than BxRf8 winning exchange; So Black can defend with Qf6,but again White can attack his Queen Bg5 with tempo(so she developed her dark square bishop, putting pressure, and also black light square like g6 is aimed by white Bc2! Also no need to worry about Qf6 & Bc5 combination to target her own f2 pawn with check! This combination of Dark & Light Squares Bishops after Bg5,are covering all 3 squares:f6,g6,h6 and all of this with tempo! 5:02 Bc8 blunder! White had:RXRd8+ if NxRd8 than Qxh7+ ,Kg8,Qh8# if QxRd8,than White Queen ,QxBc5,Up a piece! "Avoiding tactics"?! Avoiding winning move 😅😂 6:45 for people who were thinking to "The greek gift" with: Bxh7+ if Kxh7,than Ng5+ also with some following lines: -Kh8,than Nxf7 forking the black Queen; -Kg8,than Qxf7+ ,Kh8,RxNd8+,RxRd8,QxRd8+ & white get his piece back + up 2 pawns, completely shattering Black King defense; -Kg6,Qxf7+ : -Kh6(forced move for black, the only one!) ,than at least RxNd8,RxRd8,QxRd8! Piece back + 2 pawns again! 10:03 BxN on e4 was better! BxNd,if white recapture with pawn x Ne4,than black Bd7x Bb5,White is forced to play dxNf6,gxf6; If BxBd7 +,N from bxBd7,developing with tempo, protecting c5 pawn. . .and so on,black is sightly better! 13:33 b4 mistake, obviously Nemo spotted on video! Either Rc2 or passive Rb1 is better! But Rook c2,followed by Qd1 to defend is better for white instead of this move where Nemo tooked the advantage forking N from d7 & a3 pawn with her Queen on d6!
2:52 isnt moving bishop to h6, is a checkmating moves? because the pawn cannot captured the bishop on h6 since the king will be checked by the queen. then just move the queen to g7 to take the pawn and its checkmate?
Beautiful games. akaNemsko is always so fair, but sometimes she goes too much into helping the other. She did super taking into account the raking difference. Nemsko could become so much stronger, but again I don't know if that is a sound business decision to go pro chess mode instead of combining with streaming and influencing as she is doing now. Fide needs to improve. the money on chess or they are going to "lose" the best players of the young generation. For us, chess lovers, it could be better: more fun and if we want absolute precision we can see computers play.
Isn't that just gaining one bishop? (I mean that's still good, but am I missing something?) (Rxe8 => Qxe8 => Qxc5). I guess afterwards you can always go rook e1 and have a strong position while gaining the bishop but that's about it? (Unless knight takes e8 instead of queen but I doubt that'd be the case) (I'm pretty bad at chess tho)
Yeah that’s good, taking any material from your opponent is always good unless you end up in a checkmate or a losing position… Also she cannot take with the knight cause of checkmate in two So bishop for nothing is a good trade👍🏻
