Can I build an ENTIRE HOUSE for under $10,000? 

A good build idea would be to give yourself 10k and do a house and then give yourself another 10k and improve the house then give yourself another 10k and so on, itd be cool to see how different the house is 10k to 20k to 30k and so on

i would like to see simsie try build a house without using any base game furniture, i guess that would be a real challenge for her.....

Kayak is one of the only builders I watch that can turn a $10,000 house into a pretty one 😂

i would suggest making the reverse of this challenge a tiny home on the tinyest lot but as expencive as possible :)

I liked the groom-and-bride bunny for the parents' bedroom, as a wall decoration over their bed. It reminds me of some of my friends, who do actually have that cutesy stuff in their real-world home.

you should allow yourself one build every few weeks or like once a montu where you can use every pack!

Do a 2 story $10k starter. Use a ladder. Decide on limited packs ahead of time (maybe eco for the dumpster dive stuff?)

You have to use all the packs if you want a decent house for less than 10000. Base game doors and windows are very expensive. I use the Eco lifestyle windows, they are very cheap

If you use big foot doll from kit instead teddy bear, it is only 1 simoleons also debug tv/chair/table from eco is cheap.

I'm really good at building starter homes. I can build like this all day! Beyond this - especially with more rooms and doing landscaping is where things always go awry. These videos are my favorite bc they're on the level of what I can actually mimic lol.

I feel like it says a lot that none of the main simmers have posted gameplay of the High School Years release...

Tip: you can still change your sims appearances by going into the simology panel and there is a button that takes you to cas, I’m not sure if this is just for console but I use it all the time

I feel like part of the problem is that she always picks the boring stuff because she thinks it's cheaper, but it's really not lol! The cottage living windows arent bad and neither are the new high school beds. Im glad she branched out and used nifty knitting stuff because that's exactly what I'm talking about and it really helped make the build more interesting and cute. I do think the Toy Box is more useful than Blarfy though.

My sims was so poor so when I saw this on the gallery it was a life saver! Kayla is making houses cheaper every time 😂. Next challenge will be I built a house for less than 5k 😭😂💕

This has been helpful. I'm fairly new to building in the sims and watching you in real time without a huge speed build has helped me figure out how this is supposed to work.

All white cheap furniture is the pinnacle of "all of our furniture is from IKEA" vibes.

Maybe I'm weird, but I like to place the smallest TVs on a coffee table within coffee table distance of the couch so that the TV doesn't seem so small.

You should do a build challenge with the pre styled rooms! Like placing a room using it for inspiration, or trying to use as many as the rooms as you can in one house!

Now I want to build one, too... And play in it... I guess redoing get together homes in my safe file has to wait. Btw. I think if you would use the chest for toys as a nightstand, it would offer more gameplay. And maybe knitting set? It's only 55simoleons, I think. A sim could make a lot of nice filler stuff, like plants, and it would match the couch and rug...

I decided to do this challenge too. I made a base game 3-bedroom 1 bathroom house that sleeps 6 sims for only 8,984 simoleons.

A kind of tricky challenge. Not counting the base house. You can can only furnished with things you can craft or get through collect (example stuff from dumpsters)

Next challenge. Build a three bedroom two bath, but only furnish the house using paranormal stuff and nifty knitting (can use base game for items you can find. For example, don’t have a tub or toilet you can use base game for those needs.)

Consider this building challenge: a historically accurate White House. Its bonkers: The main driveway entrance is located on the second floor; the grand staircase twists into four flights between floor 2 and 3; two semicircular bedrooms; and three oval rooms inside semicircular porches. I've been at it for half a week and barely got the walls up. It would be interesting to see how you interpret it.

I wonder how many "I don't have these packs" comments Kayla got for her to get stuck with only using base game items for every build challenge. I get excited for a new build challenge and its kinda always the same.

I like it! How about R2R building challenge. You start with 5000 (hard earn money) and you build your first full house (it have to look like house, have windows, bathroom etc). Save it to gallery. Then add 5000 and do renovation adding rooms etc. So when you build you have to think ahead where to add rooms or stuff ;) Then add another 5000 and another renovation. Do as much renovations as you like but never start fresh! You have existing house to work with but you can add rooms, change stuff etc.
