For the RS4 - 8 services for that mileage sounds about right, 1 run in and oil every 10k. Check if brakes have been done recently as they're £1200 for front discs alone, also big ££££ service every 40k miles basically everything needs changed.

I recommend going for another brand for discs and for other parts in general other then Audi, unless you want your pants pulled down… you can save a good few hundreds

Wow, that RS4 Avant looks amazing! Especially considering it scored so well on Vehicle Score. Thanks for the heads up on the potential cost difference between auction and retail price. Super interesting to see that the market for performance cars seems to be holding strong. Would love to see more videos like this where you explore different cars and auction results!

Agree what you were saying about having preference to the RS4 over RS6 RS4 estate for me is perfection, stunning cars, had a few Audi's but never had the wallet for a really nice RS4.

I've been looking at getting something a little more interesting. Went to see a 2016 C63 coupe, 67k from a Mercedes dealer for £25k!! Naively going in person to buy without first putting a reservation on it....and someone beat me to it online! Safe to say I was gutted and haven't found anything close to that kind of money since!

@kevinmoffatt Funnily enough, the same dealer had a 2017 C43 with 44k on it for £26k, and I took it for a test drive. I just couldn't get over my loss of the C63, haha, so I didn't buy it.

Suppose the higher value the car is, the bigger risk the dealer is taking,yes if it's sweet it's probably£2500 profit,but any problems and you've been tipped upside down and had your pockets emptied.

A recession is when the moneyed make money. Assets become cheap as does credit. Always been the same - the trick is picking the top of the market so you start selling cheaply bought assets at top of the market prices.

Market isn’t good still for a part ex…regardless of what you have. Traders go off cap which is all over the place with prices, in a lot of instances undervaluing your car, yet as a buyer you’re expected to pay top whack. I personally think dealers are getting greedy with profit margins.

A pal bought a 2019 avant diesel from Arnold clark and had it back with problems within a month. Couple of months later driving on a dual carriageway the brakes locked on doing 70. Grommit was missing from the bulkhead and water went to the wiring under the drivers seat and caused the faults. His finance company are refusing to take back the car and it’s been sat in his drive over a year 😳

£675.00 tax then insurance then fuel then service with Audi as you may have to keep the main dealer history. The marketplace for a car like that is very small indeed. This cost of living crisis has been a massive reality check for all us car dreamers. 92 Lotus Emira’s for sale on Autotrader look in two months how many have sold! It’s a disaster for Lotus to name but one. Buy a cheap car and ride out this high interest rate time.

Of the subject, slightly. The government are forcing manufacturers more and more into EVs. These are not popular with the public. As we get near to the total ban on fossil fuel cars , do you think the value of used fossil fuel cars will go up? Will we get to the stage where proper cars cost more used than they were new?

£20 k for rs4 and only a potential £3 k profit ! Not worth the risk , could buy a regular car 2020 onwards with £3 k profit and potential expensive risks ! Who would want to warrant a performance car for 6 months ?
