I did the math on the Thorium Reactor VS RTG question. So, to start off, let's get the raw power generated per tile(abbreviated P/T from now on) for each of the 2. We get a nice, round 100 for the Reactor, and a 67,5 for the RTG. Now, to calculate how efficiently the two use their fuel, thorium, we calculate how many units of power one thorium generates (power/s * s/thorium). Surprisingly, the thorium reactor beats the RTG in this category with a pretty large margin of 1620 extra power per thorium. This means that, if we don't account for anything else, the Reactor beats the RTG in terms of both power and efficiency. But, the Thorium Reactor also needs cryofluid to function, so we need to factor in both the size and the power consumption of the cryofluid mixer if we want a truly fair match between the two. A cryofluid mixer can supply 5 thorium reactors, meaning that we need to increase the total "size" of the reactor by 1/5 of the mixer's size, and decrease it's power output by the cryo mixer's input. Thus, the TRUE size of the reactor is 9.8 tiles, and its true power output 888, meaning that it's total P/T is actually about 90,6 and not the 100 that we were promised. BUT a cryo mixer neccesitates 12 water to run, thus needing 2 mechanical pumps(though their water/tile is miserable, they don't use power) to function. Meaning that it's TRUE TRUE size is 10,2(not accounting for the ores), leading to an absolutely teeny tiny, microscopic P/T of about 87,05. So even if we realllllly do the math, the Reactor still wins. But oh wait, we forgot to account for the titanium source. So after doing some dumb math i won't get into because it's stinky and dumb, we add another 2.5 tiles to the total size of the cryofluid mixer. Which we then divide by five, because we only need one mixer to run five Reactors. So, our TRUE SUPER GIGA REALISTIC P/T is 888/10,7, also known as approximately 82,99. I hate my life

The code to prevent a thorium reactor from blowing up is simple (four lines of code). 1. use a sensor to get the heat value of the reactor 2. if the heat value is above zero, disable the reactor, end (once coolant is available heat will drop to zero) 3. if the heat value is zero, enable the reactor You can expand this to disable the reactor if the total stored energy is full to consume less thorium (waste), but I've found this makes it harder to determine if you have spare power to run new stuff.
I was able to get a single processor to monitor four reactors simultaneously (because I'm stingy when it comes to silicon) It only blows up some of the time, and only if you're not watching it. So now I have a schematic for two impact reactors that automatically starts them up with any energy source (if you're patient enough)
@@yaroslavpanych2067 Can you explain the benefits of monitoring cryo levels rather than monitoring heat? There is ONE benefit to monitoring heat: if a reactor does run hot I ALSO get a visual cue that the problem is overheating (it changes color and may start flashing, meaning low cryo). No harm or damage occurs even when they are over 99% hot.
Firefly11 seems to have forgotten that you need 2 thorium for a phase weaver, not 4 so in reality, he couldve had double the phase weavers and therfore double the amount of overdrive domes he could've run. Although it is understandable because you forget that kind of stuff after you make an export hub. He even opens the info for the phase weaver and it says you need 2 thorium a second.
Challenge: Beat a hard/extreme sector but your base can only be the size of 10x10 around the core Rule: 1: Only 1 unloader allowed 2: No units except building units(Poly) 3. NO IMPORTS Keep up the good content!
Possible or not I don't know but if you use slavo it's shoots fast as hell if you're using cyrofluid as boost and over drive dome along with normal one it's fire rate is crazy
Here's a challenge for conquest, beat a base with only tier one buildings and units (copper conveyors/walls, menders not mend projectors and ark or wave instead of lancer and tsunami)

hey man just a suggestion but you could use logic to get phase and silicon in the domes with a few flares, it's much easier to do than making conveyors if you have a schematic of the processor
Hey firefly, so id like to answer your question from a veery long ago If youd like after you capture serpulo would you like to engage in the conquest of a mod called Asthosus, its got a finished campaign, its a slight mix of serpulo and erekir and its very logic based (talking about playstyle not literal logic) plus the mod on itself has many unique things which i wont mention as it would spoil the experience And 1 million power is crazy, but my friends would still find a way to run out of power 😂
Turn off the light ambience and try the game in full darkness, the way things glow would look awesome in the dark, especially thorium reactor and cryo fluid pipes.
"Go fuck yourself" challenge; - must be on an high threat/extreme sector, - you must use the first core and never upgrade it, - you must only build the first tier of conveyors, drills, units, turrets, walls, and everything else, if there is other higher resources that needs better drills, ONLY use the drill required for those said higher tier resources [Ex; Thorium, Titanium (?)] - and since you have a time control mod, beat this challenge in 2x speed. i had to, i fucking had to-
