Can I Get OVEREATERS HELLCAT with 590 Legendary MODULES?? - Fallout 76 

Thanks for this. It's nice to see others trying for sets. Built a T65 Overeaters and it was a struggle. Most times people just post vids of the finished set so it helps to see that the struggle is real.

Just a suggestion: I've found it's better to foll 1 star effects for armor. Servers are "Streaky" so try rolling maybe 10 -15 times to see if your desired effect is even a possibility on that server, if not, server hop and try again. Once you find a server that, in this example is rolling overeaters, make your entire set 1* overeaters. That will cost you less than trying to get 1 single good 3* overeaters piece. Once you have a full 1* set, feel free to start rerolling individual pieces one at a time. A full 1 * overeaters hellcat set will work nearly as good as any 3* set with a mishmash of good 2 and 3 star effects and you can get that 1* set with just a handful of modules compared to bashing rng in the face to try for 3* gear out of the gate.

Congrats Turtle with 3 successful sets of Hellcat PA 🎉 ....recently when you celebrate 60K Subscriber, I just completed full sets of Weapons Reduction for my Excavator PA and just needed 80 legendary modules, I'm super lucky at this moment 🙌 and seems you'll playing FO New Vegas for this midweek can't wait for that walkthrough 👍

This was interesting to watch, I think you may have been able to make the assassin set, but towards the end you focused on the other ones. It's such a grind. That's a lot of modules. I'm happy with an excavator WWR set and just accepting I'll be destroyed in some of the decryption varients...

The funny thing is the first roll you called cavaliers just before you got the last piece of sentinels was actually sentinels. The one you took as sentinels is probably better though.

this was like rolling my secret service armor, took a ridiculous amount of rolls to get my left leg to roll unyielding was very frustrating.

This is the way to craft armor. Build sets while you go! I collected a T45 Overeaters set just from all the event drops in the past few months. It's great despite T45, and of course it's Vault Tec yellow. Also made a Troubleshooters Raider PA set that is pretty fun.

You had the last Sentinel left arm at 31:31 then got it again 16 seconds later. Alot going on I can see how it was mistaken for a cavalier.

You had better luck than I had today. 300 modules spent on Covert scout armor and not one Unyielding AP piece.

Its so long since I played F76. There seems to be a lot more Legendaries now but just like before nearly all rubbish. The turnover rate of getting a good roll is ridiculous! 100-1? Thats crazy! At least we have you to do the experimenting for us and good man for doing so by the way. Keep on loading the great vids and we will lap them up. Rolling legendaries is so stressfull. Congratz on the Overeater set. I was really worried for you at the start then you had a great run of luck in the middle and near the end.

I crafted mine Each Day But did not re-Rolling them, and I scribbed them to buy more Modules, Funny is I also kept 5 Alt versions, (For later testing with Mutants, Scorched, Ghoul, Troubleshooters, & Assassins to see if that effect + Hellcats Stacked... still working on these sets)

The dedication here is something to be admired. Personally I do not have the space some how to store more than 1 set of power armour from each tier, let alone one from each tier & every legendary effect. That is wild

Wait, we can rename the chassis? Have to login and rename stuff now. I kinda went through this trying to roll a better 3* caster and when I was trying to roll my SS armor(so many bad rolls)...so many modules and got a couple that I am going to try out tonight, make the jump to prime receiver.

I feel Turtle for real. RNGesus giveth and taketh away. I didn’t even get as stressed as he did when I was in Iraq.

I rolled 4 pieces of overeaters Hellcat with about 50 modules. I have been trying for the 5th piece with over 350 modules and no luck yet.

Just curious, but at 39:49 why didn't you just take the Assassin's right leg and place it in the AP set? Seems to me that the AP set has a higher priority :D

Just finished watching. That was fun to watch! I need to save up my scripts after I finally get my unyielding recon or unyielding secret service armor sets completed so I can finish fine tuning my Hellcat PA.

So far i have, full overeaters Hellcat, full zealot Ultracite, full mutant slayer T-60, full troubleshooter T-65 and a T-51 with assassin, bugs, robots, animals and ghouls because those are mixed most of the time. Didnt take me a lot of rolls, the Hellcat went extremely smooth, i remember having found 1 piece and the other 4 on the first roll.

It is entirely RNG based of course, but my PA crafting struggle was different. Game kept throwing Overeater and Sentinel (separately, not necessarily together) pieces to me constantly, but it took me so long to craft a Food Weight Reduction set which was my aim.

Ring idea would either be assassins or overeaters with a couple of cavalier pieces and the rest set an old pieces on whatever powered armor set you like I mean hellcat does at 10% or ballistic damage reduction so yeah no that’s 10% more reduction

I find it tooooo frustrating to continue rolling for the specific pieces. I found a set of Overeaters including the jetpack for Excavator armour at one of the White Springs sellers. I couldn’t believe my luck. I did have a run of luck rolling Overeaters for the Secret Service armour but haven’t been able to do it again. Persevere my friend

How well does a full overeaters set work in real time against poison...like I've been rolling for OE on my Union set, but if a full set of overeaters works well against poison then I'd rather use a different set.

If you put on a Torso a jet pack mod, then you then modify it to put a Legendary or will it destroy the jet pack mod?

Also turtle I spent like half a day Saturday and part of the day Sunday running through West Tech with a slugger build with Mr. Handy and with or without I did it both ways with and without a thorn armor and it’s hard to tell but it seemed like the thorn armor was still helping not a lot but I did see quicker clear times in the thorn armor because when I get in a big group of her arm super moons and I was not seen sneaking or anything I was mobile just running into a room kind of hoping for a group so that I could dive spin around and grind on all of them and get them bleeding and then start finishing them and I think that’s really the only beneficial use of it outside of bosses but I did seem like I was getting faster clear times with the thorn armor versus without and with a vampires weapon there was no real danger I mean I was never in any danger of getting burnt down even by you know whole groups of them so the way they’ve got it now it sucks compared to the original thorn armor but not that different really because none of those ads was ever lasting that long anyway you know when you have at least to at least have one point in each slugger card and you have all the right stuff bloody mass and tenderizer and at least a point in adrenaline none of that stuffs living that long anyway so the bleed really wasn’t that important to begin with but I also did Queens and I don’t think the weed is really that important there either you can still actually do a decent amount of damage to a boss with that weapon also did Earl and I was with my fantastic group and we burnt that Earl down in about six minutes never had a chance that was the one that many like five or six of us and we took barrel down really quickly and then they’ll abandoned me and left me to clean up all Vahram Wendigo‘s net worth together for route and I didn’t have any problem with that either just standing there and grind away and killed all the wind GirlzLuhDev dollar shit before getting bumped out you know at the end of the event in any case in summary I think it is almost worth using the thorn armor now but I surely wish they would just put it back the way it was I mean it was never that useful for anything except the bosses and you can Calabasas way quicker with any other weapon archetype oh and unfortunately I don’t currently have a swing speed vampires first weapon somehow I must’ve deconstructed the one I had so I couldn’t test of an alarm build with it against a of a queen or a earl but I just don’t think that it would be that effective because I don’t think you can hit fast enough or hard enough to be getting enough health back with all those minions on you in any case I’ve been playing pretty much exclusively with that weapon for several days now wearing the thorn armor basically since the patch and it does OK I mean I don’t have any problem clearing back to back west tax over and over again I must’ve gained like five levels and I don’t really I mean it’s a full health bill Delaware has like seven intelligence I mean so I was doing OK but ultimately if you don’t have thorn armor already wouldn’t waste time building a thorn armor sack there’s no gigantic benefit to it I mean getting 250 damage on a Bosch every 10 seconds from the blade that’s just not worth it in that 10 seconds I’m literally doing several hundred several times that without a void with the same weapon so I mean it’s not really worth it if you don’t already have it don’t waste your money your time pulling your hair out because you’re not getting what you want and you can only get so much every day dude all the crazy limits in this game

there seems to be a theory that different servers will give you different characteristics for weapons & armor. i'm not sure if that's been confirmed but the way i heard about it was i posted on reddit once about some crazy luck i had with weapons. i was trying to roll a vampires explosive combat shotgun for a while and having no luck. suddenly i got it. the exact one i wanted *with* FFR. so i decided to try my luck. i'd also been trying to roll a vampire's minigun with bash damage. i got it ON THE FIRST ROLL (immediately after rolling the VE combat SG). i felt so lucky but when i posted the story of glorious luck on reddit some of the comments were that it was the server. they said if you're rolling several times and not getting what you want, try to hop to a different server. i wonder if your luck would be better if you tried different servers...

Now go mod it with the Scoreboards sexy new Vault-tec Hellfire pain.

Next so I kinda wanna do a power armor to build with strangler hearts and the Mr. Handy to try on the queen and on Earl something where I’m almost invincible with all that damage reduction shit going on some dodgy And some of the other damageredreduction things between emergency protocols and damage reduction on the armor plus you know maybe over eaters or something else

ive spent hundreds of modules myself on making my T-65 overeaters set and now some hundreds more just trying to improve the rolls. Best i have is an OE/AP/Sent torso but the others are mid tier. Its so frustrating for some reason rolling PA.

I spent the entire weekend pulling tons of scrips. And I burnt it trying to get one single Secret Service Torso piece to unyielding. Not even a good one. This morning I spent the morning with 30 modules trying to get another one. Got it but with radiation regeneration so worthless. The fact that you cannot reroll a specific star - even at an inflated cost makes the entire process too grindy. I had plans to get my 3 builds the stuff needed and I've already given up on heavy build - just can't see myself gold rolling a heavy weapon followed by the right armor. I'm getting way too burned out by it. And with the 300 scrip bottle neck in place - I just getting to the point where I might take another 6 month break.

Curious, with you spending THIS many Modules on the Hellcat PA, is this your opinion that the Hellcat is the best PA in the game? Or are you just already satisfied with the effects that you have on your other sets? I am making this comment at the beginning of the video, so I’m not sure if you address this, but didn’t want to forget to ask this. Sorry if you actually address this in the video.

...and that is why I'm still wearing my simple scout armor set I pieced together around level 70 (now I'm 430+). It has a decent combination of WWR, some poison resistance and other useful effects. I tried to replace it as a covert scout armor set but I always give it up after a 10-20 tries... Actually, the difference an armor set makes is not that big, usually not life and death ;)

I would have liked to see how it holds up when used.

Nice! That’s a LOT of Modules required to get it though! If they would just get rid of the “Enemy specific” effects, it would be so much better! Still not easy to get what you really want, but I’m sure 99.9% of players don’t use those situational effect intentionally at all.

I've started trying to roll over eater ammo weight secret service today. Got the first piece in like 5 rolls. Then spent 300 more modules and got nothing. Plenty of over eaters, but without ammo weight. This is gonna hurt.

Congrats on the OE , and Sentinel sets A week ago I crafted 200 left legs trying to get mutant slayer sentinel and got none. I did get duplicates of nocturnal ap 5%, as well as other terrible pieces.

Just rolled for 4 piece overeaters, only had 350 modules .. I got all 4 and had just over 120 modules left over. I felt lucky.

Interesting to see your process Turtle. Makes sense to have the multiple chassis however I never thought of that before!

Is overeater the best legendary roll for blooded pa? Im still confused

A way to make this system better would be to have the legendary crafting options only affect the stars it references. So the 3 star would randomise the 3 star effect, 2 star and 1 star but the 1 star would just randomise the 1 star slot and keep the other 2 rolled stars.

Thanks Turtle - not really sure the strategy for the sets you made. I would have preferred WWR ahead of ammo as bandolier is only 2 points in strength. I am also surprised you didn’t do this on a double scrip event and keep more of what you rolled to feedback in the machine. I’m not a PA user so it was interesting seeing the RNG at play cheers

I've been rolling for this for a couple weeks I got 4 pieces out of 5 but one got rad healing so it's terrible for running bloodied Probably won't re roll just wait for new system to come

Or I can run Decryption in my Weapon weight redux Excavator set with full heath and buffs using Vampires Faster fire flamer and still never die. This way I can save the 590 modules for something else. If Bethesda ever adds piercing strike to other events or places like the Pitt expansion, I would then and only then, consider rolling Overeaters. 600 modules for decryption alone seems fruitless to me, considering I do just fine with my current setup. If you have nothing else to do with your modules, do it to it fellow vault dwellers.

I am looking forward to the test with overeaters 30% damage reduction plus the lone wanderer 20% damage reduction plus the emergency protocols 50% damage reduction to get 100% just wondering if it will work that way.

I’m trying to roll an overeaters hellcat set myself only have the right leg so far.

I'm gonna post my guess then watch but I'll put my money on no because you get the same 3 mods multiple times in a row before other start to cycle in. Been trying for unyielding secret service for months and after almost a thousand cores I have 4 outta 5. The algorithm they use is messed up you start getting more of what you already have/picked up/put in bank to the point of almost excluding everything else.

I almost have my Hellcat set finished. I have 4 pieces of overeaters sentinels. I just can't seem to get it on the right arm.

I dropped overeaters hellcat, ap refresh sent legs the day after I unlocked the set on my alt, from the same sbq fight.

hellcat has less resistance I have died more times in hellcat power armour t65 is the best resistance power armour I have not died not once in it I'm practically a God in t65 power Armagh how do you explain that angry turtle

I used 150 modules to try to roll unyielding left arm forest armor to complete my full set and my last roll was assassin 😢 back to grinding 😫😁

I had 200+ modules to tried to get Unyieling SS right arm, no luck

I know this grind well.... took my about 400+ to get a full Unyielding Cocert OPS set .... and I still roll daily trying to get a full AP WWR set ... only 1 of 5 pieces after a year + of rolling, lol

I don't think any more stars are good idea . The combinations of effects will be to many and it will become a huge waste of resources trying to get what you want . Unless they alow us to set the main legendary effect and the other 3 being random .

Seriously would look for assassins Sentinel a couple pieces or three piece you know couple pieces of that and a couple pieces of cavalier there’s other benefits one I don’t think you are take near as much South damage when you’re wearing assassins

I did the same and kept the interesting pieces when rolling for OverEaters sentential just doesnt seem to be as effective as OverEaters IMO, especially since I tend to not stand on the spot unless AFK nice rolls :)

I love my full set of overeaters raider power armor. Very reliable. Unfortunately, I rarely see high level players running around with raider PA. Was lucky enough to complete the set without the hassle and just from event rewards and legendary enemies early on. Just need one more piece to complete my t45 overeaters. I normally only have at most 12 legendary cores. Too lazy to grind for more and temptation is always there lol

this seems backwards to me, what you do is loot all the parts, then that saves you 75 modules... then you use those modules to make exactly what you want, you nut

So, i guess I will stick with just looting what I need, or sometimes buying from players Sure I have odd sets but 75% less damage from ,Mutants, Ghouls, Scorched and Scorch Beast's, Mirelurk's, Robots, as well as others , is worth it to me. And with the Carpal Tunnel back, as well as the Arthritis, earning and using lots of Legendary materials is just not in the cards for me

Heard I’m pretty sure for what you’re talking about assassins would be better because I both of those deccriptions humanoids isn’t it cultists and oh vote the one raider group you are almost literally get better protection from assassins Sentinel or maybe a mixture of Saint Noel and the Cavaliers so you can be moving are standing still with the 10% ballistic reduction from hellcat pretty sure that would be a better go unless somethings changed with the way assassins works against human MPC‘s
