Can I really go 365 days without buying anything new for my wardrobe?

I just did this with the exception of buying 1 pack of panties and 2 new bras. I am a minimalist, casual dresser. All my clothes work together. I love black, blue(jeans), gray and white staples with pops of a few colors. I have invested in some higher end (not too high) sweaters and blouses/ tops that I can wear almost year round. Less laundry, less stress, makes it easy for me in the mornings when I’m not at my best(needing lots of coffee!)

I like, that you mention all the times, that wardrobes are different. I for example wear a lot of dresses, and most of „recommendations „ that others give is to rather have separates in the wardrobe. Also most of the „timeless“ wardrobes look for me all the same and as a uniform, rather then personal style.

I’m down to try this! I’m in the same position with my wardrobe, I’m “minimalish” but I always seem to find items to add. I was recently thinking that if I make use of what I have, I’ll figure out how to make it work.

Best of luck to you! I already failed my no buy 3 months in. I'm switching to setting a max budget for the year and so far so good on that. But I've always been frugal so I probably wasn't starting with as many pieces as you.
