Once wood glue fully dries it's stronger than the wood itself. That's why that bat started breaking above and below where he glued it.

For future reference if you use cotton athletic tape and coat it in superglue it makes like a hard cast. Like wrap a coat hanger around the break and then wrap it in athletic tape and coat the hell out of it superglue. That bat will never come apart.

you should try a big time combo. super glue (wood glue is too strong that the rest of the bat will break easier), and actually do a good job with it, then melt some pinetar around that, then flex seal it all the way around the handle for style and a bit extra protection

If you do this again put baking soda in the cracks then put superglue on that in small layers, the baking soda acts like rebar in concrete its super strong. You need to use thin super glue though.
